Sophia-" Valor?"

Valor-" Don't interrupt my duel."

Sophia-" Duel?"

The hell I said.

Valor-" No I didn't mean that but why are holy knights and dragon knights patrolling the capital perimeters? Isn't this the job of the Royal Knights and Capital Garrison."

Sophia -" Well you are right about that but one of the Garrison outposts reported seeing a shadow panther approaching the capital at great speed.

Valor-"What can a single beast do in front of the Royal Knights and Capital Garrison."

Sophia-" Well it's true that it is a beast but it had high speed with advance level concealment Skills

which make him difficult to spot and increases the chances of it to enter the royal capital."

Valor-" And many will die without even knowing what has killed them so I believe the Royal Capital would also be on high alert?"

Sophia-" Well that's right but why are you making a face like you already know it."

Suddenly the ground started to break

Sophia-" We must hurry Valor."

Ride that shitty dragon, I will fly by myself but I can't do that. Looks like I have to compromise.

That shitty dragon just smirked. you frigging wait one day I would be sure to take my revenge.

I ran towards the shitty dragon with Sophia.

She jumped on the dragon and extended a hand to help me get on.

I clasped her hand to get up. it was soft but the situation is dire.

I sat on that shitty dragon and when grabbed the rein that shitty dragon started to fly and the good we were on broke into pieces and started to float

" The ground is breaking "

"Knights hold the ground"

" But Captain the ground."

" Shut up and obey the orders."

"But Sir."

" Where are you going."

" Sir you are going"

" Yikes! the ground is floating "

"Was it a divine beast."

" You fool it's no beast it's a mage."

" What are those Holy Knights doing when we need them."

"They are also floating."

"Don't worry we need the Dragon Knights of Magic knight Division will find that mage."

"Don't interrupt it's the duty of the church to bring

judgement to that Shadow beast."

"It's the duty of the Magic knights to protect the capital."

Valor-" Won't they would have already found the mage by now if they weren't arguing."

Sophia-" I am looking forward to the time when you become a Dragon Knight

"Gruyuuu"

Sophia-" Ava also looks forward to it."

Valor-"Can this guy even comprehend that"

My statement was not taken positively and that dragon started to roll.

Valor-" Hey what happened to this shitty dragon

Sophia-" Calm down Ava."

???- " That was a rude to thing to thing to say to a

lady"

Valor-" Now I am even hearing things."

Sophia-" You are not hearing things it was Ava."

Valor- Ava?"

Who is this character even I don't know of

Valor-" So where is this Ava?"

She releases one of her grip on the rein and pointed her thumb downwards

Sophia - " Here"

Where?

I also looked down but no one was standing beneath us.

Seeing my confused state Sophia speaks

Sophia-" This dragon is Ava."

For real.

I was trying to cope up with the situation when a sudden roar drawer everyone attention.

"What was that sound"

"is it the mage?"

"You fool it was definitely a beast."

"It came from the forest."

" Holy knights who are still on the ground head to the forest."

" Dragon knights follow me, Sophia take command for the search party. I will oversee the situation here."

Sophia-" Yes Vice Commander"

Vice Commander -" Who is this young fellow with you won't you introduce me to him."

so he is the vice commander.

Sophia-" Yes, This one here is Valor a first year student in the Knights Academy currently in S

class."

Vice Commander -" So he is in A class, huh and colour.....a commoner in S class so he must be a talented fellow. I look forward to his growth."

Sophia-" So do I."

She said so with a smile looks like I score high in her book.

Vice Commander - " So will you stay with me or"

Valor-" I will go with Miss Sophia it will be a worthwhile experience for the future."

Vice Commander -" I like your attitude you must surely join my third division when you graduate."

Valor-" With pleasure sir."

Vice Commander -" haha get going and don't die that's a order.

wow that was some charisma. we were on the way to forest and after sometime we could see that horror scene.

We gulped at the shocking sight in front of us.

Even though we were inside a forest, it was dyed bright red.

What's scattered around here and there were the corpses of more than a hundred forest wolves.

Those corpses all -without exception- had a part of their flesh torn off, leaving the mark of teeths.

Within that hellscape of corpses, there's one 'humanoid something' crouched, devouring and slurping greedily.

We were watching that disgusting sight for a while, but that something suddenly turned its head and looked over here.

The turned around face doesn't have eyes.

Its eye sockets were hollow.

Its completely white skin had cracks in it, and there were black veins pulsing up and down visibly. 

It was a ghastly sight that just looking at it would make you feel discomfort. 

The teeth lined up in its big mouth were sharp like a shark.

As proof that it had been in the middle of its meal until a while ago, dark red blood was trickling down its mouth.

The hell it is . some scene out of a Apocalypse movie?

" From what it looks like."

"Surely it's not that it must be something else."

"How can something like that happen so close to the capital."

" You are right it must be something different"

They knew something but were denying its possibility

I looked toward Sophia and she had a similar expression on her face.
