5 Chapter 5- Benefiting from the chaos

A few weeks passed and the Cheng and Xiao families placed the blame on each other. These idiots started a fight declaring that the other party robbed them and that they were lying about their shop being stolen. Then they stopped the fight and started to investigate the robbery. Obviously this had been going on for a few days, Xu Feng knew that their investigation will only lead to disappointment.

Obviously Xu Feng didn't care about such nonsense. He was happy with the gains he had and he cultivated in peace. He started to absorb the various metals he stole from the weapons shop and made pills to further strengthen his body and foundation. Now that a few weeks have passed all that remained of the deed he did was the 5000 gold coins he stole, everything else was "absorbed" by him. His cultivation had already reached the grand circle of the body refinement realm as he had refined his blood. He could break through at any moment but he purposefully suppressed it. He wanted to make mendrain opening pills to open all of his mendrains before he breaks into the Qi sensing realm.

Normally only those at the Qi consolidation realm did this, but as his body was already stronger than those cultivators, Xu Feng wanted to open his mendrains so that he could make them bigger than the average mendrains of martial artists at the same realm. This would give Xu Feng an edge on the competition. Xu Feng did this in his past life and the benefits are tremendous.

But now Xu Feng also had an idea that could further improve his battle strength, a crazy idea, to reinforce his mendrains with the energy he absorbed from metals and herbs. This could cripple him and then he would have to spend time concocting a pill to heal his mendrains, or this could make his mendrains literally invulnerable and super strong, allowing him to use all of his Qi in a single attack if it is needed. This is an ability only gained when one steps into the core formation realm.

As his resources ran out, Xu Feng proceeded to rob the stores. In the darkness of the night, Xu Feng once again decided to steal, but this time it was directly from the Cheng family. The family he had to eliminate. He scanned the area near the pill warehouse in the Cheng family, and stole all of their pills after eliminating the guards, then he proceeded to steal from the weapons warehouse.

Later on, Xu Feng did the same for the Xiao family and stole all of their precious pills, herbs and weapons. Laughing evilly, Xu Feng disappeared into the darkness.

Then a few weeks later the Xiao and Cheng families officially went to war. These idiots fought and fought. Eventually, the Xiao family in Floating Cloud city was wiped out. Other than a few core members, everyone else was killed by the war. Those core members were also on the run from hired mercenaries of the Cheng family.

Obviously when these idiots were fighting, the experts that protected their treasuries drastically decreased, allowing Xu Feng to use his divine art of thievery to gain the benefits he desired. When the Xiao family was defeated, their treasury was practically empty. Just like a bunch of headless musclemen, the Cheng family thought that the surviving members were capable of taking everything inside their treasury before running.

These idiots lack of intelligence was surprising and funny.

Later on, Xu Feng refined 10 100% efficient mendrain opening pills. He then swallowed them all to open the 10 main mendrains in his body. Through further stealing, Xu Feng finally managed to open all 36 important mendrains in his body. If others were too hear of this they would be shocked. Opening mendrains in the body refinement realms showed that one was a genius. Opening all the mendrains in the body refinement realm was unheard of, even Xu Feng was surprised. Even he as the strongest god only managed to open 32 mendrains in the body refinement realm. But this surprise was quickly forgotten, as the cultivation technique he practise now was heavens apart from the one he practised before.

After Xu Feng opened his mendrains, he carefully absorbed the energy within the various metals he had collected and strengthened his mendrains! This was amazing. Now when his Qi further refines his mendrain in the core formation realm, his mendrains would become even stronger. The originally red and soft mendrain, was now emitting the sliver lustre of metal essence. Xu Feng found some metal essence in the Xiao family treasury, he then quickly pocketed it and refined it, now his mendrains actually had the elastic and sturdy properties of metal essence!

Xu Feng now had most of the ingredients he needed for creating the foundation establishment pill. He lacked a few important and vital ingredients. This would be found in the Cheng family treasure...

Now that they had been weakened by the Xiao family, Xu Feng decided to strike while the iron was hot and test his new battle prowess.

Inside the well of the Cheng family, Xu Feng poured in a colourless, tasteless and odourless solution. After a few days, a plague hit the Cheng family, and most of it's younger generation was in a coma. The older generation were suppressing this news and the patriarch and elders were discussing about what to do.

In the middle of the meeting, unbeknownst to them, a faint fragrance spread in the meeting hall, causing the elders to fall into a never ending sleep. Only the patriarch who was in the peak Qi consolidation realm was alive.

"Who's there? Come out"

Noticing Xu Feng's presence, the patriarch called out with malice, he obviously figured out that Xu Feng was behind this mess. Then without pause or delay, Xu Feng slowly walked with the patriarch unsheathed his sword and hacked it towards Xu Feng. Coldly watching this Xu Feng did nothing to defend instead he grabbed the Qi filled sword with his bare hands and grabbed his opponents throat. Much to the surprise of the patriarch, Xu Feng body was like iron, and he was unable to cut through it.

Hastily he tried to retreat, but all was meaningless. Xu Feng speedily grabbed his throat and crushed it. Lifelessly The patriarch fell down. Xu Feng then proceeded to that liberties and steal everything the elders had in their possession, storing it in his spatial ring. Taking out his sack, Xu Feng then proceeded to the Cheng families treasury and looted everything it contained.

He then turned over his arm, and unexpectedly the mark that binds him to the wish of the previous owner of this body was now gone.

Storing all the things inside his small house was now making it extremely cramped. He barely had any space to sleep. Sighing, Xu Feng tucked his knees behind his arms and fell asleep.

The next few days, Xu Feng concocted the foundation establishment pill. This pill establishes the foundation required to proceed towards the Qi sensing realm, it opens ones pores, which allows the cultivator to better sense the Qi in the air. After this Xu Feng broke through to the Qi sensing realm and he found that his absorbing speed drastically increased. He then absorbed all the various metals and herbs and directed it within his body and mendrains to further strengthen them. He knew that if his cultivation is too high for a youth his age, countless idiots would want to find out his "secret" so he decided to raise his body's power before increasing his cultivation. Another reason he did this is to further temper his foundation and make it more sturdy.

After the resources he looted was used up, Xu Feng consolidated his cultivation to the peak early stage of the Qi sensing realm. After contemplating for a while, Xu Feng decided to leave this stupid city and travel towards the capital of this Rain country, a place where there's more danger and resources. He also did this because the resources he could find in other cities were now no longer capable of drastically helping him.

So like the most innocent person in the world, Xu Feng stored numerous gold coins in his spatial ring along with a few set of clothes and proceeded to buy a map and travel by carriage towards the capital city of Rain country - Inkstone city.
