Chapted 2 Knowledge is Power

[Marvel Multiverse]

MCU-19999-616

On Earth in the year 2008, in the American continent New Mexico, a rift in space appeared, throwing Alvis outside of it.

"Damn, why did he become so emotional? There seems to be more to singularities than what he told me... Now, where the heck am I?"

Alvis turned his head towards the rift, witnessing its rapid healing. He mentally captured an image of it, even though he couldn't fully comprehend its nature. He understood some of its principles and realized it had the potential to transport him to his desired location by stating its name and visualizing it.

However, before he could decide on a specific universe, he found himself reaching a destination.

"Blue sky? Check. One sun? Check. Oxygen? Check. Desert? Check. Cactus? Check... sigh. Is this Earth? Maybe it is. There's one sun, oxygen, and a blue sky. Even if it's not Earth, it's a habitable planet. Even without life, I could survive on vegetables. I hope they're edible... Ding? Huh, what?" A sound reverberated in Alvis' mind.

Accompanying the sound came a flood of information. The Baptism of the Main Multiverse could be applied, and it appeared to involve more than just activating one's talents.

With a bewildered expression, Alvis muttered, "Hmm, active?"

Suddenly, time and space froze around Alvis, and an invisible omni-energy descended onto his bright ethereal soul, activating his talent if there any high-level creature nearby.

it will perceive Alvis causality had been severed at its root, granting him immunity to casualty. After a while, time resumed, and space and time continued to flow.

"Interesting. So, this is the baptism, and it seems I now understand why Xei* didn't erase me from the beginning. Transcendent achievement singularities will receive a form of protection, though I'm not sure what kind. And it seems I possess more than one talent..."

Closing his eyes, Alvis witnessed two bright lights in close proximity. The first light illuminated his entire mind, as if he were observing a star up close. The second light was dimmer, yet it approached the brightness of the highest star.

Alvis's consciousness approached the first light, causing it to explode and send a torrent of information into his mind.

"Processing... Huh, it's just a word. So, talent is a mere word. No, it's more than that. Let's unlock the other talent first."

Engaging in the same process as before, Alvis focused on the dimmer light. When it exploded, it revealed more than just a single piece of information.

"Status," Alvis called out with his voice.

"So, the gift of Transcendent Achievement is another talent or status. Let me click for more information..."

{Status}

Life: When it hits 0%, the body will decay and die, and the soul will be injured. Energy will heal life. (There is no lifespan for singularities.)

Energy: When it hits 0%, commanding body/mind/supernatural abilities will not be possible, and the body and mind will be in a coma. Life energy will decrease and needs to be recharged through energy intake.

Dimensionality/Level Of Power: Determines the level of dimensionality affecting abilities.

Occupation: Genre of Life - Scientists (Physical-Materialistic), Magician/Wizard (Mystical Arts), Cultivator (Spiritual Art), Singularities (Perfect for all occupations, can be combined), etc.

Knowledge:

Simple (S) Examples: Basic knowledge of a specific skill or concept, such as simple arithmetic or introductory vocabulary in a foreign language, ignition spell, Qi strengthening.

Low (L) Examples: Basic understanding of a subject, like elementary science principles or fundamental programming concepts, fireball spell, body mastery.

Medium (M) Example: Intermediate knowledge in a particular field, such as a solid grasp of mathematics or proficiency in a specific programming language, rune mastery.

High (H) Examples: Advanced knowledge in a specialized area, such as expertise in astrophysics or fluency in multiple programming languages, magic spell creation.

Law {LU}: Law-like (universal powers) Examples: Understanding and ability to manipulate fundamental forces or laws of the universe, like gravity, electromagnetism, or time, fire manipulation, law magic.

(Singularities can speak all languages in existence. When communicating with another being, it will be translated to your spoken language, and vice versa.)

"Interesting. Everyone speaks English somehow."

[Status: Different levels of knowledge can be added by the user]

Talents: Can range from concept rules and affinity to simple higher intelligence.

Status Talent: Gift of the Main Multiverse. Description: Power.

Status can be upgraded with enough information.

"I understand... Talents themselves break the recognition of the world. They can be a simple word or power, but there is a concept behind them. That's why Xeir said not to fight singularities without proper information.

Even though I understand, how to use my talent, Process... Wait, the Status seems to be able to describe talents too, but its level is too low to reveal a lot of information."

"Status, describe Process."

(Status Affirmative)

Talent: Evolved Process - Anything associated with Process.

"...Just that... Damn, how do I use it? I can understand its meaning, but I don't know how to control it at all."

"Wait, Process... Process... I see that everything has a process. Process, as a concept, allows me to trace back the roots of a concept and reproduce its effects, maybe even create combination effects. But what about Idealism? Idea as a concept should be linked to creativity and idealism.

Wait, with these thoughts... Process + Knowledge = Power/Control/Manipulation. Theoretically, it makes sense. Thoughts as the beginning, Process as the command, and knowledge as the input, and the output is combination. Yeah, it seems quite right." Alvis strained his mind to create this simple equation for better understanding.

"T + P x K = Pok... Thought and Process with Knowledge can achieve the effect of Production."

"Let's try something simple. If I remember correctly, telekinesis is a psionic power. So, Idealism as thoughts and Process as the concept, combining it with the scientific knowledge (M) of the mind from my previous life, I should be able to produce it, right?"

T (Telekinesis) + P (Process) x K (M)

Focusing his mind with the previous equation, a throbbing sensation escaped Alvis' mind. He felt that he was right, then he stopped and a smile appeared on his face. But soon, another thought hit him.

"Yes, I was right! Hahahaha... Wait, did I warp reality to my recognition? It seems right, but also wrong at the same time. So, the output combination is not just reality being warped, but achieving the Process of Reality in an Idealistic approach."

"The process of warping reality only needs Idealism, but I need Process and knowledge for that, and the price seems quite high."

(Status)

Energy: 60%

Downgraded by 40% to achieve superpower... I'll take that as an achievement. 'Status'

Author's note: Click for information will be removed. Alvis will just think about the description later on.

(Status)

{Life}: 100%

{Energy}: 60%

{Name}: Alvis Bright

{Dimensionality/Level of Power}: 3-Dimensional Creature/10-A/8-C Telekinesis

{Occupation}: Writer

{Knowledge}: Science (M), Language (∞)

{Talent}: Process (Evolved - Cannot Be Upgraded), Status (M-Upgradable)

{Superpower}: Telekinesis - Low (Upgradable) (10 meters) {1/3} 1% per minute

"Status upgraded, huh? Superpowers can be upgraded. More information about psionics and the mind is needed, as well as the efficient usage of energy for superpowers. Sigh, it can only be used safely for 40 minutes, and if I push its limits, it can last an hour. And I can't use Process during that time. I need to find a way to level up my source of energy."

"Even if I can reproduce the effect of superpowers with Idealism, taking up more space than knowledge, it will be downgraded in essence. Without Process as the command, it will be more counterproductive, losing energy."

"Happiness fades quickly. Still, telekinesis is handy in any universe, but it seems limited in distance. But for now, it's quite useful."

"So, I need more knowledge and information. Becoming a scholar is the only way. I need to find out the specific hierarchy I'm in and study its powers. If there are no supernatural powers, with Process, I can still achieve it."

In deep thoughts and confusion, Alvis walked in a straight line towards the horizon where a small town appeared. Raising his head, Alvis noticed the civilization.

"Civilization... looks like a small town," Alvis spoke with no happiness in his voice. Even creating superpowers didn't bring him joy anymore. Knowledge felt like the true power.

After a 10-minute walk, Alvis arrived at the town center and noticed a bar. He walked in and approached the bartender, Smith.

"Hello, brother. Welcome to Smithfield Bar. You look like a tourist," Smith greeted Alvis.

"Hello, Smith. Can I have a cup of water?" Alvis asked. Smith handed him a cup of cold water.

"What's your name?" Smith inquired.

"Alvis Bright."

"Doesn't sound like an African name, Alvis."

"Yeah, I'm mixed race. My father is black, and my mother is white," Alvis lied effortlessly.

"I see. So, Alvis, what brings you to our small town?" Smith asked, curious as the town wasn't a typical tourist attraction.

"I was with a friend, had a fight, and he left me alone after abandoning the car. I'm quite lucky to have noticed this town; otherwise, I would have died of thirst," Alvis fabricated a lie, his expression filled with despair.

"What an asshole friend. Don't worry, Alvis. Our town is known for helping others. If you need anything, just let me know," Smith comforted Alvis, then proceeded to turn on the television. The news displayed Tony Stark with another cover girl.

"Thanks, Smith. Fuck Tony Stark," Alvis' emotions shifted as soon as he saw Tony Stark.

"Hahaha, yeah, fuck Tony Stark. Fuck capitalism," Smith thought that Alvis was simply a jealous guy. He himself harbored a disdain for capitalism due to high medical fees and taxes, among other reasons.

However, what Smith didn't know was that upon seeing Tony Stark on TV, Alvis' soul and body yearned to escape from this Marvel Multiverse.

"Fuck Marvel, fuck Marvel... I'm so dead..." In the midst of these thoughts, Alvis began to contemplate how he could possibly run away from this multiverse.

"Sigh... Where should I go? I can't even use my powers properly. Wait, there's something intriguing here. Why didn't the Ancient One notice me? No, forget about them... or Kang the Conqueror... or those cosmic beings."

But what about the One Above All? He is a singularity like myself; he should have noticed me and would have caught me as soon as I entered this universe.

However, little did Alvis imagine that the One Above All had indeed noticed him, not because of his arrival, but when his talent activated.

Flashback:

Inside the House of Ideas, "Huh, the Will of the Main Multiverse... weird," Stan Lee exclaimed as he jumped from his chair, knocking back the table and the drawings. He teleported near Alvis, realizing that Alvis was a newly born singularity, just like Xeir.

At first, Stan Lee wanted to erase him, but when Alvis underwent the baptism by the Will of the Multiverse, Stan Lee discovered that Alvis's existence was being protected. He paused and observed until the baptism ended. Stan Lee took a deep look at Alvis and left, returning to the House of Ideas.

"The casualty is cut and protected. He achieved Transcendent Achievement in the main world too. It doesn't look like a Hernicery Singularity.

He wouldn't descend here, but to his own creation. Interesting, a singularity being protected. I remember Azazt#### was the same kind. I hope this kid doesn't follow in his footsteps..."

Similar to Xeir, Stan Lee didn't erase Alvis once he noticed the Transcendent Achievement mark in Alvis's soul. It seemed to be more than just a gifted talent.

Flashback ended.

"Never mind. Thinking will not affect reality. Sigh... Now I need to know which universe I'm in. I hope it's not one from a dead timeline, with zombies and omnic disasters being the last thing I want."

Alvis focused his eyesight on the corner of the TV screen and saw the date written as 2008/10/18.

He sighed in relief, realizing it wasn't 2010 when the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off. He pondered hard, realizing there were many ways to determine which universe he was in.

'However, the only safe way for him to find out was to go to New York and search for the Kamar-Taj base. It seemed that...in Bleeker Street New York.

Turning his attention to Smith, Alvis decided to ask for help.

"Smith, do you know how I can get to New York?" Alvis inquired, hoping for a solution. If Smith didn't have any suggestions, Alvis planned to rely on his telekinetic abilities to fly there himself.

"You're quite lucky, Alvis," Smith replied with a smile. "Tomorrow morning, my son will be delivering a beverage shipment from New York to here. You can hitch a ride with him."

Alvis felt a twinge of embarrassment as he admitted his current financial situation to Smith. "I have to be honest, Smith. I'm currently broke. My wallet is inside my friend's car."

Smith reassured him, "Don't worry about it, Alvis. I can help you cover the cost of the ride. In exchange, you can work at the bar today to repay it."

Alvis expressed his gratitude, promising to repay Smith as soon as he was able. With a renewed sense of hope, he thanked Smith again for his kindness, knowing that this unexpected assistance would bring him one step closer to his quest for answers.
