19 Double Trouble

I'm sorry for the not so consistent of this novel but that's because I've been really busy with college, classes etc…However, this doesn't mean you should drop this book because I have a few chapters on deck and I promise to deliver. Aimer was using his skill more effectively. He moved at a faster pace than usual while carrying Nobara in his right arm.

'The Guild master seems very upset. Or angry? I wonder what could it be that's bothering him. Well, I just hope he knows what he's doing...because based on the report we'll be facing a monster that's not your everyday monster'

"Don't worry Nobara. You won't be any danger and neither will I. I will take full responsibility for anything that happens. Just trust me on this..."

'Hm? Did he just read my mind? Ehh, that's not possible but he catches on to my reactions quickly.'

Though at first Nobara was worried for their safety he was now loosened up after hearing Aimer's statement.

*smirks*

'He's a good listener. I just hope taking him to this Entrance will grant him a better experience in knowing how to handle the pressure from a dangerous situation'

Aimer thought as he rapidly increased his traveling speed.

Meantime, Anysia was seated within her living room simultaneously reading a book while listening to the hottest news of the new Guild master.

And as she scrolled through the pages she thought she heard a crackling noise to her left. Being alerted, Anysia glanced towards that direction only to see nothing.

'Well, that's weird'

Anysia's expression became flustered.

Not being able to handle the eerie vibe she felt, Anysia closed her book and placed it on the couch before she strode to the direction where she heard the noise.

As she passed the middle section of the Villa, Anysia noticed dust particles and debris in the air that fell from the ceiling of the Villa ahead of her.

'Hmm? Don't tell me this Villa wasn't bought new. Hmph...that damned brat!'

Anysia folded her arms, puffed her chest all while rapidly tapping her feet back and forth.

*crack* *crack*

Suddenly, she stopped. Anysia had noticed that the small area where the debris and dust particles fell from hastily began to crack.

'Huh? What's happening now?'

Anysia eyes slowly opened wide to stare at the crackling area. And what happened next made her felt as if her heart was in her throat.

*shatters* *crumbles*

The cracked area in the ceiling suddenly plummeted.

*BASHHH!*

The ceiling fell to the floor and beyond the smoke that appeared, Anysia glimpsed a massive, muscular leg.

A leg that destroyed half of the Villa.

To put into words how Anysia now felt. Her once folded arms flopped to her side, her mouth slowly opened wide, and a chill ran down her spine. All while she stared at the leg which struck down a portion of the Villa.

*GRRR*

"It seems we've made it...brother,"

As the smoke that obstructs Anysia's view of anything else other than the leg cleared up; a disoriented voice could be heard from above.

Anysia began to tremble like a leaf in a wild wind. Unhurriedly, she looked up from the leg.

Coming into view was a ginormous monster; to give the best description, it had a wide-bodied muscular structure with a mean, grumpy face.

The monster's eyes scanned its surrounding area eventually landing on Anysia who stood below it. The two locked eyes together creating a scene similar to that of a staring contest.

Though it was understandable seeing that the monster had a whopping height of 12-feet.

'It's...it's looking at me'

Even more than ever, a fear crept deep from within Anysia's heart.

*hmph!*

"Hurry brother. A human seems to have noticed us,"

The Titan which first exited the Entrance and destroyed half the Villa spoke right after another appeared, making matters worse for Anysia.

'No! No! No way! T, two monsters appearing with such immeasurable presence?'

This was where Anysia collapsed. Her legs felt as if they were noodles causing her to drop to her knees.

*gasp*

She clasped both hands over her mouth with an expression that cannot be put into words.

*garghh!!!* "Finally. I've made it through."

The second Titan that made its appearance known, exited the Entrance to stand side-by-side with its brother.

*turns*

The Titan promptly looks down and noticed Anysia's presence.

"Ohh? What do we have here. Is that creature a human?"

"You finally noticed,"

The first Titan turned to its brother Titan in response before averting his gaze back at Anysia.

"I see. Well, you know what we have to do right?"

*hmph*

"I should be the one telling you that...."

The Titan which first appeared relaxed his right arm and in the middle of that arm materialized a gigantic, golden ax.

"...when it comes to humans, we show NO MERCY,"

At the same time, Anysia was down on her knees trembling in fear.

'What's happening right now! Are th..those monsters? B, but they can conversate...how is that possible? I, I can't even gage their power levels'

Feeling pressured by the sudden appearance of two monsters with a power level she cannot begin to imagine, Anysia desired to do one thing.

{To cry...in fear}

'...no. I have to get it together. What would he do if he were here? Yes, I have to defend myself. And by the looks of it...they're about to make their move'

*breathes in* *breathes out*

Anysia calmed herself before she unhurriedly stood up from her position.

"Hm?"

Her actions startled the Titans.

"Heh. That human...they've changed,"

"All the better. Aren't you the one who loves when their prey fights back,"

The second Titan narrowly teased its brother with a devilish smile.

"Hush! I'll take care of this,"

The Titan who first appeared jammed its ax into a section of the canvas before crouching down to get a closer look at Anysia.

'It's coming'

Anysia's face deepened into a frown; she made direct eye contact with the monster.

"You there...human. You seem to have bit of a spunk...so as a bonus. I'll give you a freebie. Right here...you'll get two chances to hit me right here...

The Titan tilted his head to its left and pointed its index finger towards its right cheek.

...if you can't live up to my expectations. Then I'll just have to RIP YOU APART"

At the end of this statement, the Titan's face curdled into a devious smile all while snatching an evil glare at Anysia.

And Anysia froze up. It was as if her body was being continuously stitched over and over again by a thousand needle.

But suddenly, her entire mood took a swift change.

'I have to fight...even if my life depends on it. Our life...that is'

From being scared to fearless, Anysia was determined that she would fight back to protect not her life alone but her unborn child as well.

*vwoosh!*

[Lifebender, Wand of the Empty Void] is in use.

Anysia equipped her magical item.

"Heh. It seems you're prepared. Go on...go for it,"

With an insidious smile the first Titan kept urging Anysia to take a shot at its jaw. Vigorously, wavering its index finger back and forth towards its cheek.

*exhales*

'Stay calm. I'm the only one who can defend myself right now'

Keeping her eyes locked onto her target, Anysia made her move.

"Storm Rush!"

*KABOOOM!*

A quick and deadly wave of her wand released a powerful surge of fire that smacked the Titan in the spot he desired to be hit.

'One more time'

"Shockwave!"

*DOOOM!*

The second wave of Anysia's wand created a violent gust of wind sharp enough to slice a leaf in half. And the third...

"Ice Blast!"

*phew* *phew* *BOOM!*

Numerous ice components were inaugurated at the Titan, striking the exact spot as so did all Anysia's aforementioned attacks.

'I struck it! I manage to strike it three times no less. But I never thought this item would use so much mana'

*huff* *puff*

Anysia fell to her knee.

'Hopefully I did enough damage'

Anysia thought as the accumulated smoke that obstructed her view of the first Titan slowly cleared up.

"Is that it...human? You exceeded your strike limit only to do this much. Heh, I'm disappointed,"

The bewildered voice of he first Titan caused Anysia's heart to drop. Her eyes opened wide.

'What! T...that did nothing!! What do I do? My mana is almost completely drained. If not for my child and this wand high mana consumption I would've been able to continue. But at this rate...'

If one word could describe the terror Anysia felt would be [Fear].

"Hehe. You look surprised. I wonder...what's going on in that little mind of yours?"

Anysia stared at the Titan before her.

"Haha. You have a luck in finding weak human brother? Is it because you're weak yourself? Haha."

"You. Just shut your mouth."

The the first Titan quickly placed a lid on the second Titan's mouth. He had been previously mocking and chuckling at the first Titan.

"Whatever. Just hurry it up. This is getting boring,"

"Can't you see that's what I'm getting at?"

*hmph*

The second Titan scoffed while the first Titan turned back towards the now frightened Anysia.

'Dammit. Here it comes.'

*rises*

"Well human..."

The first Titan rose from the floor.

*picks up*

Simultaneously picking up its ax.

"...I guess it's time to say your goodbyes,"

"Oh, no. I can't move!"

Anysia wore a spineless expression. As she felt herself being halted within her position by some unknown force, an uncanny vibe emerged within her.

*raises*

"Night, night,"

The Titan rose its ax above head before thrusting downward with full force, that amassed a rippling gust of wide that blew everything within its surrounding.

'Is this it. Is this where it all ends. After working so hard and tolerating this cruel and wicked world, this is all I will get in return? Death? But, I...I..I don't want to die. Not until this child...'

*starts crying*

Anysia fell on the verge of absolute despair

as the Titan's ax closed the distance between the tow.

"My son...,"

*sniff* *sniff*

"...my unborn child...,"

*huff* *sniff*

"And...my...my husband,"

Tightly clenching her teeth, a faucet of tears fell from Anysia's eyes. She began struggling to lift her head from the restricting force only to glimpse the fast approaching ax.

"I love you all so much..!!"

She whispered.

Suddenly,

*stops*

The first Titan stopped its ax a mere inch away from Anysia's face. Allowing the power behind the strike to savage blow anything within a 20-mile radius.

That included Anysia's clothing itself.

"Brother,"

"Yes, I know. I can feel it,"

The second Titan looked in a specific direction before alerting the first Titan who also had his gaze on that said direction.

"Something's coming. Something dangerous."

The two Titan's fixed their posture, seemingly ready for a battle at any given notice.

"This power..? Is it an Envoy?"

The first Titan grumbled.

"Whatever it is...it's coming f-"

"...!!!"

*SHICK!* *ARGGHHhhhh!*

An incredibly fast, blurry image pierced a section of the first Titan's chest. And whatever it was, had incomprehensible speed that the second Titan couldn't react to.

'....!! BROTHER!'

The second Titan turned towards the first Titan direction before coming to the realization of it's brother being killed before its very eyes.

*thud* *Boooshhh!*

*grunt*

The first Titan fell like a meteorite striking the Earth's atmosphere.

*BOOOM!*
