when my father got cancer, I decided that this might have been a punishment from God or something, so I stayed clear of ..... males .... up until high school. Then I was given a reputation as an "absolute nerd" and " know it all". this made me a target of humiliation and what seemed like endless teasing. one person, however, seemed to not be too bothered about my love for studying, and sometimes discussed this with his friends.
