War and Exile

Their last battle didn't last for long, Alice surrendered first as she was out of breath. They caught their breath, it took while to settle it down.

"Do you like my kiss ?" Nick chuckled while she was blushing

"Are we good now ? not jealous anymore ?"

She smiled shyly and nodded "are we a couple now?"

He tittered "sure. Good night "

"Good night"

It was better for them to say good bye as they were afraid if third war happened they both might lost. Anyway What a beautiful night. They slept with grin.

Alice woke up just after 6 AM. As soon as she opened her eyes, last night scene we back in her mind. She was shy, so she bit her bottom lip then she hid under the pillow and gigling. she snapped her blanket away from when she realised her stupid act.

she got up and went to kitchen expecting her boyfriend was there, But he wasn't there. "he must be still sleeping"She tought. She waited on the sofa, it was 8 o'clock, she went to the shoe rack, . a she spotted his sneakerz. She frowned "is he sick ?". she knocked his door and opened the door. Nick was sitting on his bed working on his laptop with glasses on."ah.. my boyfriend looks so smart" she was creaming on her head.

Alice came " what are doing?"

"company called me before dawn. Our system branch in city A was down"

" again ?"

" it's same one but last time was branch in city b"

" is it bad? is there something wrong"

" I don't know. it's not my project. I need to find out from zero now. "

Alice left and back in 5 minutes with warm steam bun and cup of warm milk.

" have breakfast first"

Nick ate his breakfast while still worked.

Alice was on kitchen duty today so she clean the bathroom and kitchen as well, she also vacuumed as nick was busy.

It was nearly lunch time when she went to his room to dragged him out for lunch but he slept soundly. She put blanket to cover his body and pecked his lips" Sleep tide"

She went out to buy take away food both of them and was back home but he still slept.

"darling, wake up. lunch time" She shook Nick and pecked his lips.

Nick woke up and frown "what time is it?"

"1 , lunch time. lets go"

Alice clutched his hand and pushed him to go to the kitchen for lunch.

"where did you buy it?"

"new korean restaurant in abc street. Is it yummy ?

"yes" he loved spicy food.

" I need to monitor the system today If it's stable or not"

Alice was disappointed, their first day as couple ended up with Nick working all day even night as well.

Next day was sunday.

when Alice went out from her room, smelt something nice. So she marched to the kitchen where nick was making pancake.

" morning darling.."

Nick stunned" morning babe, breakfast ready"

" Do you have to work today?"

"No. systems stable. they are going to find staff to looking after it.

Alice was pleased with his answer.

they sat down and had their breakfast silently but stole glance at each others.

After breakfast, they huddled on the sofa.

"can I see your family picture again ?"

Nick shown her his family pictures happily.

" I am envious of you. you have such a nice family"

" Alice, tell me about your family."

"He is successfull business man in country T. My mum was one of his employee. They had affair and I was their master piece. Their affair ended when I was 3. Dad exiled me here about three years ago.

"why did he do it to you ?"

Alice closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She still clearly remembered that day.

" they tricked me, my ex, his family, my best friend and my ex best friend. A day before my dad party, they took me to a boutique and forced me to try a very sexy and indecent dress. I knew they planned something as few days before I overheard my ex and his mum confersation"

" they ?"

" My ex, my bestie, and my ex mum. I used to believe that They loved me and cared about me. But those were only act because my ex family business depended on my old man. My best friend and my ex were cheating on me, we had romance relationship behind me.

On my dads party, in front of alot of people. They made a drama and showed him pictures of me. They took it in secret, while I tried that damn cloth. there was picture of me with that sexy cloth, my half naked picture, when I was putting on th cloths, when I stripped it off. My ex best friend claimed he took those picture as I seduce and intimated with him few days before. that man claimed I slept with him"

Nick tighten his gripped on alice body then he kissed Top of her head " I am sorry. But please be assured, My mum is not like that. You know her clearly."

Alice giggled " it's ok. It was all in the pas. Mum is the best"

"Did he not believe you ? Did he do hurt you ?"Nick voice was trembled. He was sorry for her and resented her dad.

"I didn't say anything. I just wanted to get away from those snakes. I knew old man trust them more than me"

"your mum ? did she do something" Nick was really curious.

Alice laughed bitterly " She never cared about me. She had another daughter, She love that girl more than me. I am dirt and that girl is star".

"By the way, how did you find that note ? Did you make a mess in my room?"

Alice didn't answer his question, she just snorted.
