One step closer

They arrived at the restaurant soon after Nick finished his words. Alice calmed her selfdown before got off the car as she was still effected by his words about punishment.

They went to the restaurant straightaway where Sasha, Mr and Mrs Feng had been waiting for them 10 minutes ago.

"Here, they are" sasha waived her hand.

"lets go inside" Nick put his hand on Alice waist then leaded the way.

" good afternoon Sir, mam" a waitress greetes them

"Is Mrs Law around?, I am Alice"

"please wait a second".

The waitress then went inside and came back less than 10 minutes later with a middle age woman.

"Nick, Alice"

"Hello aunty" Alice shook hand followed By Nick.

"These are our parents and this is our second sister" Alice introduced them to Mrs Law.

"Hello"

They greeted each other before Mrs law gave them a tour inside.

"This is our private room. This room only can have maximum 3 table, we have four of them. The room partition can be removed so they all can be merged.

Please come this way, we have another room over here, 12 tables in that room, it connect to little back yard and side door is at the end of the backyard.

"This room is pretty good"Sasha whispered at Nick and Alice.

"please come in" Mrs Law opened an empty rooms. She spoke to one of the waitress and sat with them.

not long after, a watress come with tea and some snack and a middle man followed.

"You must be Nick. Ben told us about you alot. I am his dad"

"Hello uncle, this my fiancee, parents and second sister".

Nick introduced both sides, then they shook each other hand.

" Do you have the banquet menu ? can we have alook first?" Mrs feng asked politely.

"Sure, here . Just have a look first. we are coming back shortly" Mr and Mrs Law left the room to make time for the family to have private discussion.

"The price is reasonable and the room connected to back yard also pretty nice" Mr feng gave her oppinion.

"Just take paket B. It's between our capability. Just follow your budget. but it's up to both of you. Your mum and me, we just give you our opinion."

"Big brother, How many table are going to book ?"

"maximum 10" Mrs Feng decided before Nick could answered.

"Is it enough mum ? you and dad have so many friends" Nick frowned

"We just definitely invite your uncles, aunties and our family elders. Just prioritise your friend first, if we still have empty spot then we can add our friends"

"your mum is right. It's your wedding, your guests more important then our friends. But we still have to consider guests from Alice side, her fam.." Mr feng was reluctant to mention word 'family'. He was still clear in his mind Alice reaction yesterday when they discussed about meeting her parents

"Don't worry Dad. I am going to apply for annual leave tomorrow. I'll book tickets to city T as soon as posible " Nick had decided.

Mr and Mrs Feng was delighted and proud of their son decision. On the other hand, Alice was unhappy.

Nick whispered to Alice "which menu do you prefer ?"

"I am fine with any, really. I don't have much friends to be invited ".

Mr and Mrs Law came back about 15 minutes later, They were astonished by this harmonious family who chatted happily.

"Can just call you uncle and aunty as well ?"Sasha used to call aunty and uncle to Asian older couple, but she didn't know this couple well. Infact, it was their first meeting.

"sure" Mr and Mrs Law was very impressed with Sasha attitude.

Mr Feng signaled Nick to speak

"We just book 10 table but we want the room that connect to the back yard. for the Food, we prefer packet B."

"Sure. What is your wedding date ?"Uncle Law asked

"21 October" Alice said happily.

"Uncle, do you provide room decoration?" sasha began questioning her responsibility, wedding decoration.

"We only can put double happiness sign"

"Is it posibble to make our own decoration ?"

"yes you can, you can use the back yard as well. But it's only for you. ok?"

"Thanks Aunty".

"how about car park ?"Alice spoke

"we have 10 spots out there, we will reserved 4 for you. But the rest of the guests, they need to find parking in the car park underneath the office bulding over there. We will validated the parking ticket so it's free"

"Our family ran restaurant for 40 years in country H. We had one here before but it was a partnership with few friends.

So don't worry, we will make a tremendous food for your wedding " Uncle Law assured Feng family.

when leaved that place, Alice grinned for ear to ear. She could jump to the moon and back. Finally, she was one step closer to be with her darling.
