Good bye baby

Three days later, accidently Alice found rental contact inside her favorite handbag while unpackind her luggage. That contract reminded her that she hadn't paid rent yet. She read it to find out the rental price and sat down on her bed dispirited.

"why I am so miserable. what should I do now ?"

On monday, she received notification that all her credit card had been cancelled. She went to ATM to withdraw some cash out, she just discovered that didn't had much saving and the compensation money that her father promised hadn't been transfer yet. She withdrawn nearly half of the saving but only manage to cover the fuel expense with small amount money left. No other choice, she had become best friend with instant noddle since after.

At night, She sat on the sofa waiting for Nick to come home. It was just past 7 o'clock when Nick arrived at home.

"hello" he greet Alice and she greeted him back.

Nick went to his room straightaway and came out few minuted later with his t-shirt and short pants. It was summer in country U. "have you had your dinner?" Alice nodded, she watched TV while he enjoyed his dinner.

Nick Finished his dinner, then sat on sofa closed to Alice "do you have any issue to be discussed with me?"

Alice was starled "How do you know ?"

"you keep peeping on me" he turn off the Tv with remote control.

Alice bit her lips and took a depth breath.

"It's a bout the rental money. I could not pay it now. I don't have much saving and the money is not transfered yet" Alice was anticipating his reply nervously.

"when will you get the money ?"

"honestly, I don't know. I don't want to call his secretary anymore"

"Do you have a job?" Alice shook her head.

Nick frowned, he tapped this fingers on his thigh "I'll ask Tara if she can get you job. I heard she used to working in restaurant".

"hell no, I never worked and I don't want that job" Alice refused strongly

"so, what is your next plan ?" he said indifferently.

"I'll wait for compensation money"

"but you need money for your daily life. how long will you relay on instant noddle for your meal ?"

" how you know I have instand noddle ?"

"rubbish bin. Ah.. I forgot to train you with the rubbish" Nick slapped her forehead weakly.

Alice pouted her lips.

Nick tapped his fingers again, this time was the sofa hand rest.

" well, I have a good solution for you" broke their silence.

"really ?" Alice was exciting, a faint smile painted on her face.

"sell your car"

"No way, It's my baby. Anyway, I need it to go to Uni."She was definitely againts his idea.

" Tara and you were uni friends. She graduated already but you haven't. How come ?" Nick was curious.

"I failed in few subjects. This will be my final semester 3 subjects left, if I pass"

"back to our business. q are you sure you want to keep it , do you know how much its fuel cost you ?"

Alice was depressed, as she recalled how expensive fuel bill was and nodded.

"Do you know how much the insurance you need to pay ?" Nick looked at her with a foxy grind then type something on his phone.

He smiled before showed it to Alice.

"what ? is it that expensive ?" Alice dumpfounded.

"yup, how about the service fee. do you know ?" Nick added more " If you still want it, fine. But.. , you need to have only one but at least three jobs. Go it, sweetie ?".

Alice was speechless. She realised that she had to be reasonable, at this time keeping her lambo was not a wise decision.

" ok.. I'll sell it. but Can you come with me ?, I really don't know how."

Nick stunned and mused "this girl is really naive and well stupid perhaps" .

On saturday, Nick took Alice to luxury car dealer. They visited the first dealer and asked how much that dealer willing to pay.

Then, they went to second dealer, the second one offered abit lesser price. He tried to bargain, but unsuccessfully, so they went to the third dealer. At the end they sold it to the third dealer as it offered the highest price.

" good bye babe.. I will missed you" Alice farewelled her car with much regret before they left, she was so gloomy. However, it turned bright as she got a notification that the money had been banked, the dealer transferred it right away.

"wow...!!!she was amazed. it was double than her compensation money.

"your one was less than a year model and special edition. if we sold them online, we could get higher price but it took longer time. it's not easy to find buyer for luxury car"Nick explained.

"oh.. have you changed your address on your driving license ?" Nick asked

"nope, I forgot. I'll do it monday. the office closed already"

" oh..gosh.., Do it online tonight"

"what is your bank account?, I'll pay my share for rental and shopping".

Nick walked "I have paid for 1 month in advance and 2 months bond money. you just pay for the next 3 months. Also, you need to pay for the next shopping."

"sure" She was happy that she had money to her living expense but the down turn was her baby was not with her anymore.

"why life was so difficult. Can I have both money and my baby" she inhaled.
