Byron Secret

Nick just finished his personal business in the restroom. It took him a little while as the line was quite long. His phone was buzzing non stop when he was busy with his body called. He pulled it from his jeans pocket and unlocked it after he washed his hands. He laughed and shook his head when he saw all the messages, his fiancee was too brave. The whole family member teased them merciless, he just wonder how she was going to face them when they were back home.

However, his face turned black when He saw a man holding Alices' hand forcefully. He ran as fast as he could towards her

"Sir, please take your hand away from her ?" his voice was cold. Byron let Alice hand go as Nick was approaching with murderous aura. Nick was not violence guy. But He could become ruthless to protect his beloved ones. He and his foster brothers learned martial art when they was in high school. Their father said it's for their own protection and to protect the girls in their family when needed.

As soon as her hand was free, Alice flew to Nick side. She hugged his waist and buried her head on his chest seeking for his protection.

"Why did you take long time in there ?" she pouted.

"sorry. I am here now" he caressed her head. He narrowed his eyes to get clear vision of the man face. He smirked "Yesterday, your friend acted impolitely to my woman. Now, it's you. Your group really has attitude problem" Nick hugged Alice shoulder in protective manner. Alice turned her body slightly but still on his embraced, her eyes told Byron "This is my man". Byron opened his mouth and closed it immediately . He was dumpstruck, he didn't know what to say and how to react.

"Are you really Xinxin ?" Ian Meng stared at Alice. He was after Byron as soon as he regained his composure back . He was shocked when Byron said that girl was Xinxin. Xinxin that he was fancy, he nearly possessed her body.

"Another one ?" Nick peeked at the culprit on his ambraced.

"Trouble is looking for me" alice pouted

Nick scanned man, he remembered he was the one who Alice nearly bumped at few hours ago. Now, he had a clue why she called him toerag before. In the past, this man must had done something indecent to her

"Darling, lets go. It's getting late" Alice didn't want to stay any longer as she saw others five familiar faces appeared behind Ian. They turned their body around, left those new arrivals dumpfounded.

Those seven people were back inside the restaurant and continued their dinner. It supposed to be a happy and exciting one but turned to be blunt and gloomy one. No single word was spoken during their dinner, every one was drowned in their own tought. The food had become tasteless, the sweet dessert tasted bitter. No one in that table had appetite that night.

The dinner was ended faster than expected. Byron drove his parents back home, he didn't said any word during the journey. Mrs Lie opened her mouth and closed it back before any word was able to escape, She did few time. They reached their home in 20 minutes but it seems like hours.

"Is she really Xinxin ? but how come she was so different. She" Mrs Lie asked Byron once they were inside their house, She couldn't hold it anymore. She had wanted to ask her son since they had their awkward dinner. Byron stared at his mum and nodded. Mr and Mrs Lie was dumpfounded. Mrs Lie showered Byron with more questions "How did you know ? did you meet her before ? where ? why did she become so different ? howcome ? who is the man with her ?".

Byron hung his head, he went to his room without answering his mother question. "Byron..!" Mrs Lie chased her son. But Mr lie held her hand to stop her "Let him alone, He needs to calm his self. We both know clearly that he had mind on her years ago. He must still like her"

Mrs Lie closed her eyes. That's right, Byron fancied Xinxin since she was 15. They opposed his feeling due to Xinxin bad reputation in their social circle. In order to made Byron changed his mind, Mrs Lie told her son all bad things about Xinxin. She tought Byron had forgotten his feeling as he acted coldly and sometime cruel to Xinxin, she never realised that Byron was still fascinated by Xinxin, he hid it well. She understood now why Byron never had girlfriend, he was still longing Xinxin.

Byron went to his room. He took off his suit and loosen his tie, then he sat on his bed with his elbow on this thigh while his hands was holding his forehead. Xinxin face came up in his mind, her cold sneer and her scar. Her voice rang again, it replayed by it self, there was no way he could not stop it. He alse remembr his cold attitude toward her, how he gave her that disgusting glance, how he injured her forehead.

"I am sorry. Xinxin, actually I like you. But, everytime I heard they were talking about your bad behavior, I was angry at you. I didn't want anyone knew that I like you. I didn't want them to mock me. That's why., that's why I acted cruely to you. I am sorry for that scar. That day, I just want., Want you to look at me" Byron sobbed.

"Xinxin, let me see you again. Let me protect you, I can do it better than that man. I'll make you fallen for me no matter what"

He opened drawer on his bedside table and picked a picture up. It was Xinxin picture he took on her school ground. Xinxin stood under a tree while holding an injured bird.

Byron smiled and kissed the picture "I'll find you and conquer you. Just see"
