24 Chapter 18: A plan of unknown purpose

"NOW THAT 3 TEAMS HAVE ENTERED THE ARENA, LET'S FINALLY START THE SECOND ROUND OF THE GAME, SHALL WE!?"

"Oh~ things just got much more exciting~"
"What do you mean exciting? Do you think facing all these shit heads is exciting? I will shove this brief case in your mouth if you really think so." Replied Khun to Kai as his irritation is hitting its limits.
The fact that he can't even use his 'trump card' because of the rules is already making him want to just destroy everything and end this shitty test already. And now this idiot is telling him that their situation is exciting?
"Chill, bruh. You will start having grey hairs if you are always irritated." Simply said Kai nonchalantly with his hands on the back of his head as he observes the regulars who entered the arena.
Khun just ignored him and also observed the new participants to create a plan. He knows that this idiot will always react to things differently so there's no point in arguing with him. He would probably pick his nose even if he's infront of the king of the tower himself and flick the booger to him just for fun or something...
His sight observed the regulars before it stopped at someone in cloak.
'Now that I can feel their aura clearly, I can easily tell that most of them are strong. I'm pretty sure that that man wearing a cloak is even stronger than that lizard...He...is a huge problem if he also aims for the crown...'
He then played with a knife from his brief case as he holds his chin in a thinking position as he thought of his options.
'Give up the game? Impossible. It's logical considering our dilemma but this two idiot would obviously not agree...well, I too would not...'
'Make a deal with him? That will be an option for later if I could even think of a good deal once I get an idea of how he thinks...'
'Make him an ally...'
He then got cut off from his thoughts as Kai spoke to him while still looking at the regulars who are also observing them.
"Your thoughts are too loud, Khun. Stop thinking about unnecessary things such as teaming up with them for this game. That's such a boring way that I would rather face all of them by myself."
He then looks at Khun with his red and gold eyes as Khun was once again mesmerized by it.
"Either we beat them up and sit on that huge throne with the crown on our head or we get beaten the shit out of us. That's the only way. We didn't just entered this tower to be allies with everyone."
He said as he walked towards the throne.
"I don't know about you but both Rak and I aims to become strong. And this is a perfect way to test our skills and strengths to these fellow monsters. Maybe even get stronger or create a new technique while fighting them or something."
He said before he jumps up and stands on top of the throne's backrest.
Looking at him from his position, Khun thought...
'This idiot's logic will surely be the reason of his own death. I'm sure of it.'
He thought before he saw Kai inhaled deeply before he shouted.
"YOHOOO~ MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, MY FELLOW FREAK OF NATURES~"
He then saw that he gathered everyone's attention as he continued. Meanwhile, Khun just hoped that he doesn't say anything stupid that will make more problems for them. Well, considering Kai...there's no way of predicting what this guy will do next.
"SO ASIDE FOR SOME WEAKLINGS, WE ALL KNOW THAT IT WOULD BE A TOTAL CHAOS IF WE ALL FOUGHT RANDOMLY, RIGHT~?"
At his question, the regulars nodded except for some who can't be bothered. Even the four people who knows that they are the one he singled out as weakling just agreed. They know that they will probably die just from a stray shinsu if they also fought while the monsters are fighting each other. It's a reality that they hate but can't help but accept.
"SO BEING THE MOST HANDSOME HERE, I THOUGHT THAT WE SHOULD ORGANISE THIS TEST AND MAKE IT LIKE A TOURNAMENT OF SOME SORTS. AGREE OR DISAGREE AND I BASH YOU ON THE FACE!?" He said as some regulars got irritated from the latter of his last sentence while some just nodded. For the first part, well- it's the truth so everyone just accepted it. No one would deny that unless they are extremely narcissistic.
The cloaked girl in endorsi's team especially raised her hands as she nodded with enthusiasm.
Seeing her, Kai nodded with satisfaction as he continued.
"NOW THEN, LET'S JUST MAKE THE RULES SIMPLE. WE WILL HAVE A TEAM VS TEAM FROM THIS ROUND UP TO THE FOURTH ROUND! AND EVERY TEAM WHO IS LEFT IN THE LAST ROUND WILL HAVE A BATTLE ROYALE! IS THAT CLEAR!?"
"Umu Umu! Clear as day, Kai chama!" He nodded to the girl in cloak although he doesn't why she addresses him with 'sama'. Well, chama in her case.
"But wouldn't that be just unfair and also just a little less chaotic though..." Said Laure while sitting and has his back on the wall representing the regulars thoughts.
"CORRECT YOU ARE, SLEEPY GUY! BUT HONESTLY, DOES ANYONE REALLY GIVE A FLYING F#CK ABOUT THAT?"
"Yeah, I atleast do-"
"DAMN RIGHT, NO ONE DOES! SO LET'S START THIS TOURNAMENT ALREADY!"
He cut him off as Laure just gave up. He knows that arguing with the red hair will easily exhaust his energy so he just closed his eyes and slept.
"A REPRESENTATIVE FROM YOUR TEAM WILL COME HERE IN THE CENTER AND HAVE MATCHES OF ROCK PAPER SCISSORS! THE LOSING TEAMS WILL FIGHT EACH OTHER SO GET READY! THAT'S ALL FOLKS!" The regulars just agreed even though he proposed a silly way to decide one of the most important part of the game.
It's definitely weird but they can't be bothered to suggest another way. They just want for things to start already so that they can finally stretch from sitting in that stuffy room.
Kai then got down from the throne as he looked at his two team mates who are both just staring at him.
"What?"
Hearing him and snapping out from his daze, Khun just shook his head as he spoke.
"Nothing. I should've expected that you can do that kind of thing with that thick as iron face of yours but...well, it's still a little surprising."
Rak then also spoke not knowing the danger that he is about to face.
"Yeah, you're one heck of a thick faced turtle. Creating a tournament in a game...wait. Now that i think about it, this whole crown game is also just inside of the tests as a bonus part and the test is also just a part of the tests in this floor..."
"And..." His eyes seems to become emptied as Kai tried to stop him.
"Cease your thoughts, Rak! You'll just bring upon destruction to your tiny brain!" Kai tried to save him dramatically from his incoming doom but it was sadly too late...
"The floors is just one of the tests of the tower so basically, we're gonna participate in a game, that is inside a game, that is inside a game, that is inside the many games of the floor, that is inside the floor games of the tower..."
Rak's brain.exe has stopped working
"NOOOOOOOO"
Kai caught Rak who passed out from the complicated info (for him) overload while Khun just looked away and sighed from annoyance of his team mate's antics.

"Soooo names? I'm Kai by the way. Privilege for you people to even get to know my name." Kai asked the regulars infront of him as he also introduced his self with a little bit of arrogance. Just a little.
By the way, him and Rak has bumps on their head from Khun's bonks who got annoyed from their antics.
The regulars then introduced themselves one by one. They didn't mind his latter sentence and definitely not the bump on his head as the Red head's aura of dominance is making them scared. Well, most of them.
"Heya, I'm Ship Leesoo. Nice to meet you, fellow reps." Said our jumpsuit boi, Leesoo, as he salutes. He knows that his two team mates can't be bothered to be a representative so he took it.
"Hello. I'm Ho." Introduced Ho putting his right hand on his chest. He is the one from Laure's group. He has a long yellow hair and a huge red horn in his right temple. He volunteered to be the representative since he knows that his teammates don't want it.
"H-hello! M-my name's Jeff. N-nice to meet you all! Hope you go easy on me!" Stuttered Jeff nervously as he sweat. He has no notable features except for the black needle that he is holding that is currently shaking from his nervousness. He is a part of the masked girl's (forced) team. In his case, the masked girl ordered him and he obviously has no choice but to do it.
Kai then looked at the last one. He is a man wearing a cloak. He just stared at Kai as Kai ran out of patience waiting for his introduction. They are on a hurry after all.
"We've already wasted 3 minutes in this round. Introduce yourself or we'll just call you Cloak of Darkness. Don't want to have that ear destroying name don't you?"
The 3 snickered before the man finally introduced himself not minding the tease.
"Hello, Kai sama. I'm Ren." He said as he bowed to Kai not minding the confused looks he gathered.
Kai looked at him for a second before he spoke.
"Hmm. Two people already...well, getting addressed with sama by strangers is not that bad so I'll allow it...alright! Pick a partner and I'll face one of the losers to pick out who is the team that will really fight the other one!"
Hearing him, Leesoo said the obvious before he got cut off by the red haired.
"Huh? Isn't that unfair-"
"Nope. I proposed the tournament and organized it so I should atleast have this little privilege, right?"
Hearing him, Leesoo thought about it a little before he nods.
"Fair enough."
They then started the game.

With Khun and Rak.
"That turtle...is much more dangerous than I thought..." Said Rak as he looked at the rival turtle that is in the center of the arena.
"Yeah...if what he said is really true...then it will be a tremendous help to our team..."
He said as he thought about what happened 30 seconds ago.
[Flashback after Khun bonked Kai and Rak]
"I...never lost a rock paper scissors match."
Rak was about to say something before Kai interrupted him.
"And no. That spear attack whatever does not count so don't even mention it, you dumb gator. I clearly said that the options are only rock, paper, and a mother f#cking scissors."
He then stood up as he approach the team representatives that is walking towards the throne.
"Don't doubt my rock paper scissor skill even for a second. I've already won tons of money just because of that game. And you know what my record is?"
He then looked back as he grinned.
"0 loses and 1,669 wins."

"Do you think what that turtle said is true?" Asked Rak.
"As If. That idiot can lie as naturally as he breathes."
"And you?" Retorted Rak.
"Wanna get bonked again?" Khun said as he raised his fist.
"Try it and you'll taste my spear." Rak said as he readied his spear.
*Sigh.*
Khun just sighed as he ignored him and thought about what Kai said again.
'It's very hard to believe but the thing is...it's Kai who said it...'
'Knowing that he never loses in a rock paper scissor game, does that mean that he actually created a tournament that can give our group a huge advantage using it?'
He then remembers Kai's interaction with the blanket guy.
'Then by using his aura of dominance of being an irregular, he shut down people who would mention the problems in the tournament rules so that all the other regulars would just brush it off...he also knows that the strong regulars would just ignore it because of their pride and nonchalance...'
'He even said to me that he hates planning things and thinking complicated and now he created this...'
'If he really never loses, then we will enter the last round without fighting anyone saving our energy and exhausting the enemies...'
Rak then spoke as he got cut off from his deep thoughts.
"That turtle...apart from being crazy, he is also a sly one huh..."
Hearing Rak, Khun nodded as he looked at Kai who is now on a match with Leesoo who seems to be one of the losers in the matches.
He then saw Kai celebrated as he picked scissors and Leesoo picked paper.
Seeing this Khun grinned a little as he thought.
'This teammate of mine...might be slyer than me.'

Meanwhile with Kai.
"Man, talk about unlucky!" complained Leesoo.
The other loser is the team of the guy named Ren. He doesn't know their clear strength but it's obvious to him that they are also dangerous to face.
All the representatives then goes back to their teams as Kai stared at their back while thinking.
'Creating a plan is really a pain in the ass.'
He then grabbed the crown as he stood on top of throne while twirling the crown in his finger.
'But it's definitely worth it because...'
He then inhaled deeply as he thought of the reason why he created the plan in the first place.
'Protagonists should always be last.'
Looks like what Khun thought as Kai's purpose was wrong again...
