Khun's knife and Hatsu's blue handled sword collides as they both fought each other.
Khun was in a slight disadvantage even though he is stronger and faster because Hatsu uses a sword and is more skilled.
Their blades clanged a few more times before Khun spoke with a little irritation.
"Why does it seem like I'm always facing someone more skilled than me the moment I entered this shitty tower..." He complained before Hatsu blocked a sneaky brief case attack from him.
First is Kai who easily dominated him with his aggressive and skillful attacks and now this katana guy who uses his weapon's advantage and is even really skilled with it.
Hearing him, Hatsu just shrugged as he spoke.
"Dunno. Maybe because you always use underhanded attacks like this." He said as he shove the brief case away.
"Underhanded? This briefcase is also my weapon, you shithead." Khun said as he spins and back kick him to which Hatsu blocked with his arm before he spoke.
"I see. Then allow me to also use one more weapon." He said before he took the red handled sword out from its sheath.
Khun immediately backed away thinking that he will attack him with it but...
"?"
*Swish!*
He got confused because Hatsu just threw it in the air. Seeing an imaginary question mark above his opponent's head, Hatsu spoke as he rushed towards him.
"You might have to dodge this attack with all your might." He said before he slashed him.
Khun then blocks it easily as he got confused a little before he looked at him with mocking eyes. He's not sure what attack he is saying but if it's the slash, then it's so anticlimactic that it disgusts him.
"That's it?" Mocks Khun.
Hearing his mocking, Hatsu just calmly attacked more while speaking.
"I'll repeat it again."
*Clang!!*
Khun noticed that his attacks got stronger as his knife started to have cracks in its edge.
"You..."
*Dom!*
Khun blocked another slash with his briefcase as another knife came out from it.
"Might have..."
He then threw the cracked knife to the ground as he caught the new one and blocked another strike from Hatsu.
*CLANG!!!*
*TSH!*
Khun's knife immediately broke from the collision before he releases dozens of it towards Hatsu.
"To dodge this attack..."
Seeing the knives thrown at him, Hatsu slashed all of it away as all of it broke to pieces.
*Clang!*
*Clang!*
*Clang!*
"With all your..."
He then rushed again as Khun threw dozens of it more as he slashed his way out of it again while some actually have cut his skin.
*Clang!*
*Ssk!*
*Tsh!*
*Ssk!*
*Clang*
He didn't even flinched or reacted from the cuts that occured in his body as he just got on a horizontal slashing stance as Khun got readied to block it with his briefcase. One of the most important uses of it is actually for blocking attacks because it is sturdy.
However, when Hatsu was about to slash towards him, he saw the sword that Hatsu threw in the air spinning as it actually seems like it's coming towards him.
Seeing his dangerous situation, he tsk'd and tried to move his body away from the trajectory with all his might but was not able to because it's too late.
Khun felt like his life flashed before him as he berated his self for his mistake again. A mistake that has a high chance of ending his life if he can't move his head the moment that the spinning sword flew and slashed towards him.
Thinking that it will be a bloody sight, Hatsu closed his eyes as he uttered the last word.
"Might." 'MOVE, MY F#*KING HEAD!' said Hatsu and thought Khun at the same time.
*DOOOM!* *CLANG!!!*
*TING!!!*
However, they both closed their eyes reflexively as a huge spark occured between them the moment their weapons collided. Which is something that should not be possible because Khun used his briefcase to defend.
They then both heard someone walking towards them as they opened their eyes and
turned towards it.
A huge alligator that is holding a spear that just came back to his hand and a passed out Leesoo with a bump on his head is what entered their sight before the Hero spoke.
"A true leader does not let his minions die infront of him."
Hearing him and knowing that the gator gained another reason that he will use to boast and act arrogant to him in the future endlessly, Khun immediately thought with annoyance...
'I would've rather died.'
Hatsu then backed away while looking at his broken sword that is on the ground before he spoke.
"I respect that you want to help your team mate but...do you really have to break my sword?" Said Hatsu as he walks towards it before he grabs it and puts it back on the sheath. He has been with this sword for years so he already has grown attached to it.
"I don't care how I do it as long as my minion is safe." Said Rak before he threw Leesoo towards Hatsu as he catches the sleeping jumpsuit princess.
"There, I left your team mate alive so consider it as a payment for breaking your weapon." Rak said. Although he would've actually 'hunted' Leesoo if not for Khun reminding him that they need to make them their ally. He is a hunter after all. Letting his preys go is an embarrassment for him.
Hearing the gator's words, Hatsu thought about it for a second while looking at Leesoo's sleeping face before he bowed towards Rak. Both of them got shocked a little as Hatsu ignored their reaction and spoke respectfully.
"I see...I'm thankful to you for sparing my team mate. Although it's within the rules of the test, I will still apologize for almost killing your team mate." He said with respect. Hatsu has always lived by his codes so even if it's against the rules of the test, he will still apologize if he thinks that he have gone too far. A fight is a fight, a death match is a death match. He will always fight according to what kind of fight that he and his opponent will be having or have agreed on.
The fact that his opponent only made his team mate pass out means that they have no intention to kill them. That's why even if it's within the rules of the test, he will still reciprocate with apologies because he almost killed one of them.
Or atleast that's what he thought. If not for them having a potential of being a good ally, a certain light blue head would've been okay with killing them.
Meanwhile, Khun hearing Hatsu saying that he almost killed him made him irritated even though it's the truth. He has a huge pride after all. He already stained it many times because of Kai so he will not allow some kind of bumpkin to damage it more.
"What did you say!? Who almost killed who huh!?" Khun shouted as he stood infront of Hatsu. They are the same height if not for Hatsu's hair style.
"I said that I apologize because I almost killed you." Hatsu simply said as he also did not backed away from the staring contest.
Hearing him, an imaginary spark of electricity seems to occur between them as they started to have a quarrel.
*Tss* *Tss*
"You really have the face to say that even though you used underhanded methods!?"
"It was not underhanded at all. It's only a part of my attack that you were not able to percieve because you lack training."
"Lack training my ass! I'd rather not train my whole life than have this warrior code shits like you!"
"Using another argument...Fine. However, use anything other than mocking the way of the warrior or I might have to retaliate."
"So scary~ as if someone who will suicide just because of some codes can scare someone."
"Wha-what!? How dare you insult one of the manliest acts!? Don't you understand that Halbok is the epitome of nobleness!?" (A/n: seppuku in korea.)
"What epitome of nobleness? Just say that it's the epitome of being barbaric lol"
"You...!!!"
However, before they could even continue, Rak grabbed both of them by the back of their shirt as he leaped off with them before they heard an explosion while in the air.
*BOOMMM!!!*
The two was about to complain to him before they both saw a pure red flame coming towards them.
"Dod-"
Khun was about to yell at him to dodge before Rak threw them away as he swung his spear towards the flame.
*Zwoosh!!*
The flame dispersed from his attack as the 4 of them, including Leesoo who woke up from the explosion, either crashed and landed on the ground as they saw what's happening on the other side of the arena.
A huge amount of smoke was there as pure red flames spew out of it and landed everywhere on the arena as it made the temperature rise.
"What's happening over there..." Said Hatsu with concern as he thought that something might have happened to one of his team mates. She might be strong but there's still no way to be sure since her opponent is also a strong one. She's even at a disadvantage because her opponent can use shinsu while she cannot.
"That red turtle..." Simply said Rak as he stared at the smoke. The red turtle is indeed strong as he thought. He thought that that lizard is dangerous but it seems Kai is much more.
'Did his shinsu got this much stronger or...was he holding back? I can't comprehend him at all.' thought Khun as he stands up from the ground. He is finally starting to understand that logic doesn't work on that red head at all.
The more logical and smarter you are, the more it gets complicated understanding him. The only way to actually understand him is to be by his side all the time and get used to him. Impossibility? Looks like he has to cross that word out from his dictionary every time the topic is about Kai. Only by doing that can someone start understanding even a little part of him.
"..." Meanwhile, Leesoo just stared absentmindedly at the smoke because he was forced to wake up and his brain is still not loading the information that he is currently seeing.
After a few seconds, they then heard a playful voice to which they immediately knew who it came from. There's no one here who would speak that way while in a fight afterall.
"Ready for round two?"

(A/n: remember: Khun is holding back because he doesn't want Hatsu to get the idea that he wants to kill them since he wants them to be their allies. Well, Hatsu was not able to hold back his technique so he almost died lol.)
ps: Hatsu's technique is so cool, man. Hate that SUI removed it.
