Chapter 13 - I Am Going to Become a Devil

About the same time...

"What's taking them so long?"

Arisha crossed her arms with a bored expression on her face. A total of six people counting her were staring at each other inside the room.

"Why are you in such a hurry? As expected of a spoiled member of the Arie Family."

A teenager of about 16 years old with blue hair looked at her with disdain on his face.

"You...! Don't talk about my Family with that dirty mouth of yours, or I'll cut you in half!"

Arisha gritted her teeth as she held back from attacking him. While she was following Uriel's orders and hunting down other Regulars and collecting hearts, she eventually found this teenager along with another Regular and the three of them ended up in a fight. However, the battle had no end as the 30 minutes of the test passed and Uriel called her, resulting in the battle between them being postponed.

But, the biggest reason she had such enmity with this teenager was that he was from the Khun Family. The Khun Family and the Arie Family were rivals, causing a natural enmity between the members of the two Families.

The teenager from the Khun Family smiled.

"What? As expected from a member of the Arie Family, a barbarian who solves everything with violence."

He shook his head as if disappointed by this.

Arisha clenched her fists and pulled out a sword she got from one of the Regulars she killed.

"Calm down, Arisha."

When Arisha agitated was about to attack, Uriel's voice sounding behind her stopped her.

Uriel was among the six people in the room. His wounds were still apparent on his body. Blood covered his entire body. His jaw as well as his nose was broken and he had lost some of his teeth. His hair was sticky from the blood and disheveled.

Despite all this, his characteristic mockingly cold little smile was on his face, which looked a bit bizarre because of his deformed face.

"Just like he said, there's no need to be in a hurry. Just wait patiently."

"Humph." Arisha snorted and put her sword away again. Her gaze in the direction of the Khun Family teenager was still menacing.

The Khun Family teenager smiled again but was on alert. Was a descendant of the Arie Family listening to someone? He could sense a certain sense of danger emanating from Arisha's two companions, especially the red-eyed boy sitting on the ground.

"Regardless, it's really taking a long time." Urek complained as he ate an apple. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed and an irritated expression was on his face.

When suddenly...

Knock! Knock!

Knocking sounds suddenly sounded from outside the room and the door opened.

"?" The curious gazes of all the Regulars in the small room turned to the figure that walked calmly through the door. It was a woman with greenish skin, light green hair that fell to her waist, and two ET-like antennae protruding from her forehead.

'A Ranker?'

Uriel appraised intently.

"Sorry for the delay, Regulars." The green woman smiled brightly at them. "Congratulations to the six of you gathered here! You were the only ones who passed the first and second tests!"

"!!"

At that moment, even Uriel couldn't help but be surprised. Only those gathered here passed the tests?

'Only six? That explains all that delay, they must have been shocked by it.'

Previously he had no plans to reveal himself to be an Irregular before reaching the 20th Floor. However, the fact that Urek was so strong frustrated a large part of his plans. However, they could still be executed, it would just be a little more complicated.

Khun Family teenager Khun Huo smiled and called his teammates with him and withdrew from the room.

One of his teammates was about 3 meters tall and had several muscles all over his body, with two fangs protruding over his jaw; he was the person who fought together with Huo against Arisha earlier. And following Huo and the huge man was a small child with such a weak presence that people usually unconsciously ignored him.

Huo turned his head back as he walked out the door and gave a mocking smile to Arisha before leaving.

"Humph, at tomorrow's test I'm going to cut that nasty guy in half."

Arisha backed away from Urek with fear on her face. Her first encounter with Urek already marked her deeply because of the pressure he emitted. And soon after, when she saw Uriel's completely disfigured face, an even greater sense of fear for Urek was marked in her heart. At first, she was strongly against the idea of such a terrible monster being her teammate, but she could not deny Uriel's pleas.

"Why? Oh, I know, are you embarrassed to be around a guy as awesome as me? Oh heavens, what a sinful man I am. How can I make someone who has met me for the first time fall in love with me?"

Arisha anxiously began tugging at Uriel's sleeve with a fearful expression on her face as Urek approached.

Uriel smiled and ignored her pleas.

"You can approach me without shame, baby."

"Gough...! Gough...!" Uriel almost choked. Son of a bitch? What are the Great Families teaching their members?

After eating using the points earned from the tests, Urek, Arisha, and Uriel were heading to their respective dormitories. When suddenly...

[Arisha, come to my dorm. Ah, yes, no need to knock on the door, it's open].

Uriel's voice resounded in Arisha's head, making her jump in surprise.

'I'll probably never get used to that...'

She sighed and walked towards Uriel's dormitory.

As she walked, some strange thoughts went through her mind.

'Why is he calling me to his dorm? Maybe he wants to have s-s-sex...?'

She can't help but get a little anxious and scared at that thought. Even though she had promised to do it with him if he asked her to, that was only to preserve her life; she had not a single intention of actually doing it.

"Ah, here it is." As she recovered from her thoughts, she realized that she was standing in front of Uriel's dormitory. She swallowed dryly and, opening the door quietly, stepped inside.

Just as she was about to greet Uriel who was sitting on the floor, she noticed her surroundings. A few candles formed a circle with Uriel in the center and the room was dark with only the light from the candles illuminating it.

"Ah, you have arrived."

Uriel smiled.

"Y-yes, master."

'...? She looks afraid of something.' Uriel raised an eyebrow. "First, give me back my ring."

"Here it is."

Arisha carefully handed over the Storage Ring. Taking the ring, Uriel checked its contents and nodded in satisfaction.

'41 hearts... That should be enough.'

A moment later, he looked at Arisha again.

"Listen carefully to my instructions."

"Gulp..." Arisha swallowed dryly and nodded.

"I want you to protect me from any approaching external threats. Besides..."

Uriel put a serious look on his face.

"In case my eyes end up going completely black, do whatever it takes to wake me up. Even cutting off one of my arms is feasible."

"Gulp..." Arisha swallowed dryly again before asking a question, "May I know what the master is planning to do?"

"Me?"

Uriel smiled broadly showing his mouth missing several teeth.

"I am going to become a devil."
