1 Prologue

"Daddy, can I have some ice cream?" A 6-year-old boy, with innocent, vibrant eyes, tugged at his father's shirt as they walked past a store.

The child's father smiled, and said in a cheerful voice, "Sure, sure. Anything my little Uriel wants."

The boy smiled happily, picking up a chocolate ice cream. He turned to his father who was walking beside him, and asked with the ice cream in his hand, "Aren't you hungry too, Daddy?"

"Haha. Little Uriel, did you forget? Your father is someone who can even create a tornado by waving a finger, how would someone like me feel hungry?" The man said with a proud laugh pointing at himself.

"You again with that story. When I told my schoolmates that, they mocked me saying that my father is crazy." Little Uriel muttered softly pouting.

"Humph, what does a bunch of brats know? If I wanted to, I could destroy an entire continent easily!" The man stated in a voice full of pride, puffing out the chest. "Believe me, little Uriel. Your father is someone amazing!"

"Right, right. Daddy is really amazing, heh."

"You're mocking me. Who did you learn that from, huh?"

"I'm not mocking, you're really awesome, Dad!"

"Humph, it's good that you know."

...

"Where are you going, Daddy?" Seven-year-old Uriel was teary-eyed holding his father's shirt with trembling hands.

"Little Uriel..." the man faltered looking at his son. He quickly hugged Uriel tightly and small tears fell from his eyes.

"Daddy has to go, I have to go back to where I came from." His voice was full of anguish and sadness, and his hands were shaking.

"Daddy... Why do you keep telling these lies? You said yourself that you would do whatever I wanted. Why won't you just..." Uriel couldn't complete his words, as tears came uncontrollably from his eyes. Uriel sniffled holding back the endless stream of tears, "Sniff, sniff. Why... Why won't Daddy just stay with me forever?"

The man's heart squeezed. He felt useless at that moment. With bitterness and anguish in his voice, he spoke wiping away his tears, "Little Uriel... Everything may be confusing to you now, but one day you will understand everything. Do you remember the story of the Tower of Wishes that Papa tolds to you?"

Uriel nodded, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall again.

"One day the door to that tower will open for you. Maybe when you are there, you will understand Papa."

He crouched down, gave his son a final hug, and left with his legs wobbling wanting to go back.

"Whuuuaw....! Don't go away, please, Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"

....

....

Dark clouds obscured the moonlight and small thick drops fell on the cold wind.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

A young man was lying on garbage bags with raindrops falling on him. His face was covered with bruises, but this did not obscure his beauty. He had black hair that was a bit long and unkempt, skin as white as snow and soft as a baby's, pink lips, and a perfectly symmetrical and slightly effeminate face.

Her beauty was transcendental! Just like the elves spoken of in the legends.

He opened his pitch-black eyes slowly. His eyesight was a little blurred, but with the drops of water falling on his body and the fresh smell invading his nostrils, he quickly realized that it was raining.

"That dream again... Tower of Wishes, huh?" Uriel looked unfocused at the falling rain, his mind was remembering the story his father had told him long ago - Money, Glory, Absolute Power, All Wisdom, and Happiness. If you seek this or anything else, you are at the top of the Tower of Desires! Everything has been placed at the top of this Tower! If you ever go to this Tower, follow it to the top and you will get whatever you want, little Uriel!

"Tower of Wishes... it is quite similar to the webtoon Tower of God." Uriel thought silently remembering the webtoon he read once a week.

Since Uriel started reading Tower of God, he found the similarity between the background of the story and his father's Tower of Wishes story amazing. He was fascinated by the fantastical story, so much so that he has read the available chapters more than 5 times. With each new chapter, he felt more and more immersed in the story, and at the same time, wished that this story was real.

"One day the door of that tower will open for you... I can't believe I still believe something that lying father said..." A dry, self-deprecating laugh came out of his mouth.

Uriel hated his father, because of him Uriel was orphaned; his mother had been dead for some time.

Uriel moved in with his maternal uncles. But, they were not very receptive to him, which resulted in him working at the age of 15; but Uriel didn't hate this too much, he would rather work and rent a house of his own, than life with his uncles.

At school where they were already teasing him, the teasing became even greater and even evolved into aggression. The bruises on his face were made by his 'classmates' and he was beaten so badly that he fainted.

"They really exaggerated this time... But, I don't mind returning the 'tender treatment' when I find each of them alone."

He smiled a little and a dangerous light shone in his eyes.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

With the sound of rain, Uriel got up from the garbage bags and began to walk quietly towards his house.

Arriving in front of his house, Uriel opened the door and went inside. He sat down on the couch and dried himself with a towel. After he finished drying himself, he stood there with a bored expression; he didn't feel like doing anything at the moment.

With an expressionless face, he pulled a cell phone from his pants pocket. Soon, seeing the notifications, a smile broke out on his face. "New chapter..."

Uriel quickly accessed the app titled WebToon and, navigating the page, entered the webtoon Tower of God. "Chapter 330, this second season is much longer than the first." He began reading chapter 330 of Tower of God with a smile.

Soon, comments about the chapter involuntarily came out of his mouth.

"So Princess Yuri was like that when she was young, um."

"Oh? Baam is going to fight a High-Ranker?"

"Tsk tsk. That Essence of Courage from Kallavan is really very strong, will Baam's master be able to win?"

...

"Huh? What's that? Why did the pages turn black and white?" Soon, an abnormality entered his field of view. Uriel frowned a little. The pages of the chapter in addition to having become colorless were not scrolling down.

"Tsk, my cell phone is buggy? What the fuck-"

Uriel couldn't complete his sentence when his tongue almost jumped out in surprise. He looked around and realized that everything had also turned black and white, except for him and the clothes he was wearing. He rubbed his eyes, and wondered, "Am I having eye trouble? Maybe because I've been using my cell phone so much?"
