" So, have you decided?" I asked Seung-Woo, who nodded.

" Welcome to the team." I smiled as i looked at Yui. I was too busy stuffing her face with sweets.

' She looks better than I thought.' I thought she would be more sad or depressed but it seemed she's doing fine.

" Well, for now, we wait for the administrator's test. So for the time being, we'll be training to work together but for the time being, I need you to gather information on any regulars that we'll be facing and the test themselves and Yui, I'll be training you."

" Hm?" Her ears perked up as she looked at me and Seung-Woo.

" What's your position? Is it a wave controller or light..."

" Wave controller!" She replied.

I nodded.

" Alright, then I'll be helping you in your training." I replied, causing Yui to return back to her cake.

We ate our breakfast as I started to train Yui in Shinsu.

( Seung- Woo Pov )

It was a surprise to be asked to join a team with these strangers. The only reason I joined is because I'm curious about this man.

But it wasn't just that, but also because I felt it was Ike to stop being alone, ever since I was exiled, wondering if all I did with no clear goal.

But now I am curious if this man could climb the tower. And I would get to see history in the making.

And now, I was getting any information on any regulars that climbed to this level who started to gain some recognition.

( Zero Pov )

" That's pretty amazing." I said as I watched Yui create two baangs between her hands.

" Okay, now try to shoot them at that." I pointed at the targets which Yui aimed for. She managed to hit two bullseye at the same time.

" That's... actually amazing." I praised her as I let her rest since she used all her shinsu.

" For now rest. We'll continue until next time. But for now... do you know how to use a knife?" I asked.

Yui tilted her head and showed her claws.

" I can use my claws." She replied.

I blinked my eyes and unsheathed the dagger before standing up.

" Alright then, let's see how you use them." I said as I took a few steps back to create some space.

" Alright, fight." I said as Yui immediately attacked me with her claws.

I easily pushed it away.

" Faster."

And she swung her claws faster and began to reach her limits bet kept moving. I admired her spirit and her will to improve.

I didn't hold back in teaching her, just like Zero taught me, but this time, I'll make sure she completes her training.

An hour later, I let Yui rest as she fiddled with my throwing knives and daggers.

" Why don't you use these?" She asked.

" They are secondary weapons. In case I lose my main weapon like this sword, I'm swinging." I replied.

" But you seemed faster when I saw you throw that knife." She spoke.

" Yeah, I just... don't like daggers until I have a need for them... do you want me to teach you how to throw a knife?" I asked, which caused Yui to frantically nod.

I chuckled and put the greatsword down, and I grabbed a throwing knife.

" Hold it like this and... yup, just like that and put your hips like that and feet like this. And now throw it like a hammer." I instructed.

Yui threw the knife and hit the wall. Missing the bullseye.

" That's great." I smiled, but I saw Yui's sad expression.

I sighed and kneeled in front of Yui.

" The first step in improving your throwing skill is getting the knife to stick. On my first try... I hit my own foot."

" Pft!" Yui started chuckling as she tried to contain her laugh but failed.

" Come on, we'll keep trying until it becomes a muscle memory." I grabbed another knife and put it in Yui's hand.

" Again."

I continued to train Yui for the next 2 months until the test was ready for the next regulars.

" Ready? Got everything you need?" I asked Seung-Woo and Yui, who both nodded.

" Alright, let's go before the spots are filled." I said as I grabbed my greatsword.

We headed towards the testing center, and I observed any regulars from Seung-Woo's information gathering.

" The first test is a dueling. Everyone must duel at least one opponent and win to pass to the second test!" The test administrator spoke.

I looked to see my opponent, a wave controller. Yui's opponent is a fisherman, and Seung-Woo's opponent is a light bearer.

The matches started now. And it didn't take long for someone to win.

" Isn't that an Arie Familiy memeber?" I asked Seung, who nodded.

Arie Family, one of the ten great families, specializes in swordmanship. And seeing it in person was another experience to see as I saw how beautiful she wielded that sword.

She defeated her opponent with a swing, and it was all I needed to know how strong she was.

" Yui, it's your turn." I looked at Yui, who silently nodded and left down to the ring.

Her opponent. A fisherman walked in the ring with a confident face.

And just as he opened his mouth, Yui used this chance to attack.

And in less than a second, Yui immediately got the upper hand as she dug her claws into the fisherman's face before throwing him to the ground.

' She's brutal.' I thought as I watched Yui walk back to the seats.

" That was great." I patted Yui's head, which she accepted.

We had to wait for other regulars until we it was our turn, and in the middle of the test, it was Seung's turn.

He faced a lightbearer who used her lighthouse as a shield and a weapon by sending it towards him.

Seung managed to dodged and trick his opponent by sending her lighthouse outside of her range.

He immediately used his staff to hit her leg before hitting her head. Knocking her out.

" Brutal..." I muttered as Seung ignored me and sat back down.

At the end of the test, it was finally my turn to fight. My opponent is a wave controller.

Once the match started, he immediately formed two baangs which he shot at me.

I rushed at him and dodgedbthe two baangs and as he tried to form another one. I hit him with the pummel of the sword.

I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back to the pummel again before hitting him on the head knocking him out.

" All Regulars who passed! Should now move to the second test in the west wing!!" The test administrator announced.

I regrouped with my team before heading towards the west side of the building.
