[ Ding! Mission Completed ]

[ Rewards: Spell book, Summoning Contract, One upgrade ticket. ]

Right now, I can't receive the rewards at the moment as I was heading to a shortcut to another floor without taking the ranker of this floors test.

I've learned all I could from FUG. That includes the other factions organizations and King Jahad, the man they wish to overthrow.

There, I learned Endrosi and Yuri. The woman I met on the first floor was his adoptive daughter. And Anaack is the daughter of one of Jahads princesses.

But ignoring that, there were maps and hidden locations of their secret bases that I could steal from and use those hidden paths to go up the 10th level.

' But it's a bad idea to attack those bases. It'll make it easier for them to track me.'

Right now, I stood with a group of people taking the test to pass to the 10th level. The shortcut is in the testing area.

This test is escaping the maze. The shortcut should be inside here at the corner of the maze.

" And... it should be here." I muttered as I stomped on the wooden floor.

' Hollow.' I thought as I punched a hole through the floor and lifted it up to reveal a secret path.

" Uhm, excuse me."

I turned around to see a little girl. A little young be climbing the Tower.

" Where are your parents?" I asked, observing the area to see if this is a trap.

" Uhm, I'm trying to find my mom."

" And your dad?"

" I don't have one." She replied sadly.

I sighed, as I tried to convince she couldn't follow me.

" Listen, I'm chased by evil men. If I take you, then that will put not only you but also your mother in danger."

" Please..." She muttered.

" Sigh, why me?" I asked as I looked at the dark hole.

" Because you smell stronger than the others." She replied.

[ Ding! Find the little girl's mother! ]

I closed my eyes and sighed as I decided to accept the mission

" Fine. Hurry up before someone spots us."

In the end, I couldn't turn down the little girl because of the mission.

' But still, to ask a strong stranger for help was a gamble for her. I wonder how she even managed to make it this far.'

The secret pathway is dark as I activated weed the [ Sharingan ] to see as I spotted throttle girl looking around.

" Uhm, where are we?" She asked.

" Can you see?" I asked.

She nodded as she turned to look at me before flinching as she looked at my eyes.

" Y..yes!" She exclaimed quickly, looking away.

The sharingan must've scared as I walked down the path.

" What does your other look like?" I asked.

" She looks like me!" She replied.

I glanced at her to see her tail and ears.

" So... a cat?"

" A fox! I'm a fox!" She pouted.

" A fox... I've seen a lizard and a crocodile..." I muttered as I continued to walk.

After a few minutes of walking, I decided to ask another question.

" Why did your mother leave?" I asked.

" Well, I don't know." She replied.

" You don't know... so she left without telling you?"

" Mhm... why the questions?" She asked.

" Well, I guess it'll be a little unfair. Do you have any questions?" I asked.

" What's your name?" She asked.

" It's Ashborn, but you can call me Zero." I replied.

" Zero? Why Zero?" She asked.

" Because it's cool." I replied.

" You're weird."

" I know."

I guess replying to her question made her less tense as she relaxed a little.

( Jinsung Pov )

I walked through the messy hallway as I looked at the dead members on the floor.

I knew the day would come, but I hoped it would be when I was around when he underestimates my strength. But it seemed he was observant and cautious as he chose to escape when I wasn't around.

" Sir, the other Irregular is still here." A member reported as I nodded and walked to Bam's room to see himself still in place.

" Sigh, your friend escaped. Any idea where he is?" I asked.

Bam shook his head as he stared at the floor.

I sighed as I knew this would be difficult.

' I also got to report this.' I thought.

" Sir! We managed to find him!" I turned to look at the man who began to speak.

( Ashborn Pov )

An hour later, I found the exit to the tenth floor, but there was a slight problem.

" Stsy here. I need to do something first." I said as I climbed out of the cave.

" Wha?!"

I slowly closed the opening before gripping my sword as I silently walked through FUG's safe house.

' It's empty...' I thought as I quickly went back to the hole and held my hand down towards Yui.

" Hurry." I said as she grabbed me and climbed out of the hole.

" Stay silent." I muttered, Yui nodded as she followed me.

We walked towards the front house as I silently peeked out of the door.

' No movement outside...!!'

I looked down to see a hand grab my jacket before I was pulled through the door.

" Ah?!"

I rolled on the floor as I looked up to see a large man towering over me before he grabbed my arm.

" Get your hand off!" I grabbed the large man wrist and applied pressure as I heard it pop.

" Gaahh!!" He held his broken wrist as he took a step back.

I grabbed his ankle and pulled it before slamming my elbow down into his knee.

Crack!! His leg broke as I pulled him down to the floor and repeatedly punched his face before climbing off.

" Like the show?" I looked at the leader of this branch floor.

He clapped his hands as he looked at the building.

I looked to see Yui captured as I realized my mistake.

She tried fighting back but was thrown to the floor held down.

" Let her go." I said, but the man kept his usual smug smirk as he crossed his arms.

" Nah. Don't feel like it."

Seeing no chance to reason with the man, I slowly unsheathed my dagger.

" Don't. Or less the little cat get it."

" I'm a fox!!" Yui shouted, gaining the attention of the leader as I flicked the dagger at him.

He blocked it with his arm, but the poison entered his body. I used telekinesis to push the FUG members off of Yui before running towards her.

" Yui!" I grabbed her and blocked the needle that came from the leader as blood started pouring from his orifices. His needle stabbed through my forearm before I kicked him off and stepped back to dodge the others.

[ Regenration ] kicked in as it started healing, closing the wound.

I grabbed my greatsword off the floor as I pointed it at the other FUG members while holding Yui in my other hand.

" Don't..." I didn't finish as they began to attack.

I sighed and boosted my body with mana before attacking.

" Cover your eyes." I said to Yui as I continued to kill every FUG member here.

I dodged a baang before killing a spear bearer and a fisherman in a single swing.
