28 Ch. 28 initiation test Pt. 2

( Zero Pov )

The train is coming to a stop to its next station. And I saw a group of guards outside that were dispatched to a man getting killed on tue train.

' I should use stealth to get to the east station and from there ride back to FUG. And all while carrying this...'I looked at the sack which had the head inside, and it's dripping blood.

Screeee!!

The train was becoming a screeching halt as I covered my face with a hoodie to minimize the chance of getting caught.

I looked around the train for anything that could help my odds of winning. Bags, people, and some broken glass.

Pshaa!

The doors opened as the guards walked in, a spear bearer, and two fishermen surrounded me as we both faced each other before the spear bearer made the first move.

A thrust to my chest was easily countered, and before I could attack, a fisherman stabbed their needle, which missed and stabbed the chair behind me.

Before I use this chance to cripple his arm, the other fisherman and spear bearer attacked.

Using both my dagger to block and redirect their attacks, I jumped over them and ran outside of the train as the doors started closing.

I looked at my hip to see the sack still intact before I started making my way to the east.

' I should keep it quiet now, no killing or anything...' I reminded myself as I silently walked through the crowd of people.

Once I got to the road, I immediately walked into an empty road that headed to the east. I was a little suspicious of the empty street.

" Androssi?" I muttered as I looked at an open cafe to see Androssi with Khun and the others.

I turned my gaze away before continuing my walk. I hoped they didn't recognize me as I pulled my hood down to hide the rest of my face. But deep down, I hoped they would.

( Jinsung Pov )

" Any reports?" Grace asked as she brought her attention towards me.

" Zero has made a lot of noise, but luckily, no one managed to recognize him, and no survivors expect the guards he escaped from." I reported the latest news of Zero's mission.

" And? Did he complete it?"

" With flying colors ma'am. He has brought back the head of the target as a confirmed kill." I replied.

" I'm telling you this kid is dangerous. Do you see what he can do? What happens when he starts becoming more ruthless or worse escapes." A member argued.

Grace looked at him before dismissing his worries.

" Which is why we'll be finding his limit. Jinsung increased Zero's mission and its difficulty."

" Yes. Ma'am." I complied.

( Zero Pov )

I am now being hosed down to get rid of the blood and its stench.

After I was cleaned, the guards left after giving my clothes, and I put them on before leaving the shower room. Once I got out of the shower room, I met Jinsung.

" Follow me." He said before walking away.

I followed himndown the hallway as he began to speak.

" You passed the test, and as such, we'll return your belongings. You'll also be assigned to your own team and personal room."

We arrived in front of an open room as I insaw my stuff inside, I quickly checked if everything was there.

" Until you move to the next level, this is your personal quarters for now." He said before leaving.

I immediately threw away the daggers before taking my greatsword and space bag along with my watch and necklace.

' It's all here...' I thought as I sat on the bed and looked to see Jinsung has left. I got up and closed the door before taking out two upgrade tickets and used them on the greatsword.

' Interesting... never thought this could be added.' I thought as I put the sword by the wall.

I put on my watch and necklace as well as my left glove before looking into my spatial bag and bringing out the old jacket.

' I should get this repaired.' I thought as I looked at the cuts and tears.

' I should get some rest.' I thought as I put the jacket on the nightstand, and before I could lay down, I heard something fall.

I looked to see the journal. My friends journal. I grabbed it off the floor and looked at it for a few seconds before putting it in the spatial bag.

' I promise her I would read it. But since I didn't want to be reminded of those times, I've been ignoring it. Someday, I guess.'

For now, I'll focus on getting stronger and escaping this place, and before closing my eyes, I remembered the quests rewards.

I saved the skill points again and put the stat point into agility.

' Another perk seems useful.' I thought I grabbed the new item from the rewards.

' A dagger... I'm really starting to get annoyed with them.' I thought as I observed the dagger.

It looked like a fang that was used and sharpened to make a blade. It had a green hue glowing, and before I decided to put it into the spatial bag, I had an idea.

' I wonder if I could increase my poison resistance with this.' I thought as I stabbed the tip of the dagger into my arm.

Many ideas started rushing through my head as I wondered if I could soak this in water and create some poison for future use.
