1 Prologue

I felt something poke my cheek. I could hear random sounds were in the background, the sound of flippers walking... I opened my eyes and came face to face with a penguin.

The little thing got surprised and threw its stick on air. It screeched like it needed help.

Then suddenly, three more penguins came while holding pitchforks.

"Is that girl awake yet?" A voice said out of nowhere.

That voice was from a girl who looked 3-4 years older than me. She had short unkempt black hair, pink eyes, and had a lot of weird looking earrings. The stranger wore strange clothes and had a pink flower lei on her neck.

"Put away your pitchforks, everyone!" She sweatdrops at the penguins, then looked down on me.

"Miss.. are you okay? We found your body floating near the island."

"W-Where am I?" My voice cracked a bit, as if I haven't talk for a long tike. A migraine erupted in my brain when I tried to recall what happened.

"You're lucky that you survived in the ocean. Also we're somewhere in the middle area of the tower." The girl sat on a stool, while petting a random penguin.

I wish I knew what she was talking about. What did she mean by a tower?

"W-who are you?" I stood up and said devensively.

"Calm down girl, the penguins here saved you from drowning back there.." She continues, saying the last part to quieter. "-And they rarely do that to strangers.."

"My name is Yeon Rin. Just call me Rin. How about you?"

"Yeon?" I know I've heard of that last name before. I stopped thinking when I got a headache.

"..." I thought hard for my name and one word appeared.

"..Seo."

"How mysterious.. So from what floor are you from Ms. Seo?"

"Sorry.. I don't know what you're talking about. What do you mean by 'tower' and 'floor'?" I answered her, honestly.

The black haired girl only looked surprised at what I said and she answered all my incoming questions about my situation.

A lot of months has passed since I met Rin and the penguin tribe. Rin explained how she saved their tribe from being attacked by Canines. Now the penguins see her worthy as their new leader.

" I have already defected from my own family, its way better to be around these guys anyway." She explains.

And in one of those months, there's still nothing I can remember.. Only a glimpse of someone shouting my name when i fell to the water.

" Hey Seo..!" I zoned out from my thoughts and looked at the other girl.

Ms. Seo, I'l be gone for a few hours.. I got some errands to do but the penguins can keep you company here." Rin explains while she left me with her animal friends.

" I'll answer more of your questions later. Goodbye for now~" I watched her go like she was in a hurry, the flames she made in the bonfire kept me warm at the atmosphere.

Little did we know that an unknown being would suddenly chose me to enter the Tower of the god.
