Reviews of Tower Defense Survival: I Defend the Whole Country Alone!

This is translation review, not novel review. If you are not familiar with it, webnovel has started westernizing most of the novels in 2021. This is awful practice that kills original novel. At best you get only names, places and organizations westernized and at worst you get half novel gutted and other half totally rewritten by translator. With best case scenario you get only names, places and organizations westernized which introduces plotholes cause while names are westernized, actual writing and character culture arent. You get chinese way of thinking, chinese places and organizations translated into most famous western (USA) alternatives and as a result you see absurdity. And with the worst case scenario, you are not actually reading original authors work, but some "translators" plagiarization cause half novel is removed (sometimes critical explanations) and other half is badly rewritten. And cause this requires so much work compared to normal translation, either webnovel is stealing original authors work and rewriting it (cause most of those novels dont come from qidian) or they are just using translators that dont know chinese so they are rewriting story with help of MTL (seen too many edited MTL translations lately on webnovel). overall any westernized novel deserves automatic 1 star review.

i cant understand people complaining about novels about being pirated and similar story in other website to me its all the same after all im just reading it for free not even a penny is given its not my problem even its proven pirated the site or this app will surely take action about pirated but the trial read is not deleted it only copy the concept and background of the story the other is not completely the same and even have similarity then maybe the pacing and the story is really copied but that ain't my problem i read it when i like it also i read the raws its not completely the same and the webnovel is the improved version while the raws are not even worth mentioning it only have great sypnosis but the story is completely trash

Dont' fall into the trap of 'oh it's free - you should be grateful.'

has the novel been completed? no. is it marked completed? yes. is this a blatant disrespect to readers everywhere? of course. should you start to read a novel that isn't finished and won't be? no and especially not when what is here sucks

I don't usually leave reviews on any novels but this is the exception. If i am being honest i read the reviews in the sections before reading the original novel and afterwards reading this. All i can say is that the story has been completely butchered into a generic and mediocre story. trust me when i was that the quality is not even close to the original. Seriously this is a major let down.

How does this novel have so much people giving it power stones, although its not bad, its not comparable to top level novels like cultivation online, supreme magus, super gene, etc. Although i dont think the author or webnovel is doing something fishy, but the amount of power stones this novel is getting just seems too much for its quality. All in all in my opinion this novel is a 7.5 out of ten, i feel like this is too little as the first ranking on power stones are usually 9/10 and have mass views, collection, and reviews. while this is a relatively new novel with not as much of a mass following, i also realized the past few months that some novels that were trial read usually got top 15 power stone ranking, even some very bad trial read novels got top 15, this is surprising as they shouldnt be able to compete with novels like cultivation online as they are new and dont have much of a following unless the novels very good, but most of the trial reads that got top 15 were very bad. This is just my thoughts so most of this are just my opinion and biases.

An utter trash of a novel with warped logic and no sense of character improvements for the MC. All other characters are mere decorations that just serves to boost MC in the story.

Made it to chapter 9 before I had to put it down. The setting is great. Each country gets pulled into a game that plays very much like Hunger Games, where each country has certain quotas of people to defend their tower. If they fail to defend the tower with each wave of enemies, their country in the real world gets invaded by those same creatures in the real world. Good ideas, but terrible execution. The writing is amateur in that 50% of the time, the page is filled up with netizens chatting, trolling, scolding or praising whatever is happening in this Tower world as it is livestreaming. The useless netizens chatter is constant, and happens almost every time the MC does anything. These anonymous users are either used either as a set up for a faceslap, or is a faceslap happening so that MC can be praised and his ego boosted after every move. These useless chatter gets so intrusive that by chapter 9 I was already fed up.

Th MC is too weak his followers is too strong 😑 there should be some super power for people who take part in tower defense if there country is already getting it

I love the book but I hate you for not finishing your translation because it just left a big cliffhanger
