1 The beginning

My mum always told me that life comes in stages. I thought she just used that as an excuse whenever I asked her for something and she couldn't afford it, but as I grew older I came to realize that she wasn't just saying that to make me forget about what I wanted she said it because it was true.

My family hasn't always being that 'perfect family'. We argue and fight but we still love each other. My dad on the other hand is not exactly the kind of dad a fifteen year old girl would want to have.

Growing up in Nigeria as a girl is not easy. Especially if you're the first daughter or the first child. I am the first daughter AND the first child. So life isn't exactly easy for me.

You can't afford to fail because you are the first child and everyone is looking up to you. So I have to try my best even if I don't want to u have to just because I am the first child.
