Ant Queen

"What the hell is that?"

"That seems like the boss of this place, probably the Queen of the ants."

"Well how are we going to beat it?"

"Exactly the same way as I've been killing all of these piece of shit monsters."

Leonidas used his Fire element and threw a fire ball at the monster's face and it staggered backwards and screeched out in pain. It did not seem to do a lot of damage to it though and it recovered quickly.

The Queen Ant swung one of its arms at Leonidas and Iris and he created a wall of Ice to block the attack. Leonidas rolled forward and shot a Lightning bolt at the monster but it bounced off of its incredibly hard body. He tried to make a solid weapon out of fire and managed to make a spear, he ran towards the Queen Ant and sliced at the undefended spot in between its knee joints and it caused blood to splatter out.

He jumped out and pushed the spear down into the head of the monster with great force and cracked the shell and plunged into it's brain. The monster's body spasmed and it fell forward onto the ground. It disappeared into nothingness and a voice rang out through the room, "You have cleared the dungeon 'The Ant's Nest' and are the first to do so. Your rewards will now be granted."

The place where the Queen Ant was lying now had items in its spot. There was a piece of chest armour made of the same material as the Queen Ant's natural armour which was very strong. there was also the Queen Ant's evolutionary material which was better than any of the others that he had seen before. The third item was a staff that could amplify support magic by twenty percent. The fourth and final item was the Queen Ant's antenna which could be eaten.

Leonidas gave the staff to Iris and wore the armour which fit him nicely and felt comfortable to wear. He then picked up the evolution material and swallowed it and felt quite a lot of an increase in his evolution to the fourth stage. It was almost a quarter of the way to stage four and he was very glad about this.

He then picked up the antenna and ate it whole which caused a strange phenomenon to occur. Leonidas could smell everything much better than he could before. He also could smell something else, it was as if he could smell what people were feeling. Iris smelt like she was very happy an appreciative of the magic staff that she had just received.

"Should we leave this place? It smells really bad now that my sense of smell has increased."

"Yeah, I think it's time to go, it's creepy in here."

The two of them went outside and saw the group of people that were inside of the school standing there as they had noticed the hole in the ground.

"Why were you two in that hole? What's down there?"

"It's a dungeon, but I doubt you guys could complete it. Actually, insect guy. You can probably do it if your ability is strong enough."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, that place is just a hole filled with massive ants. Give it a go if you want."

Leonidas and Iris left them where they were standing and walked off again and searched for more zombies to kill and dungeons to complete.

Along the way they came across a group of students from Leonidas' class.

"Hey guys, how you finding the apocalypse?"

One of the girls who was interested in him when he first joined responded, "it's terrible. We've barely survived this far. What about you? You seem to be doing well, can I come with you please? I'll do anything you want me to as long as I can survive, I'll be better than the girl you've got now."

"No, I am not going to let you prostitute yourself to me for protection. Just eat some evolution material and get strong enough to survive on your own."

The same girl spoke again, "What? So you'll look after that bitch but not me? You think that I'm not as good as that slut?"

Leonidas was pissed off now, "Who are you calling a slut? Iris is anything but a slut, you don't even know her and clearly you are completely deranged if you think that I'll let you come with me now. She's a bit dumb, but Iris is a good person, much better than you, now leave. All of you."

The group left and did not try to look back in fear of Leonidas killing them.

"Leonidas, I'm so sorry. Those guys were your school friends right? You could have went with them, after all you've only known me for a small amount of time."

"Don't even worry about it, those guys were clearly ass holes that can't do anything for themselves. You on the other hand, have a great ability and you're chill to hang out with. Don't worry about what that girl said about you, she's just jealous that she doesn't look like you and her personality is pure and utter trash."

"Want to go and see if there's any cool stuff in the shopping centre? I've never really been there before and wanted to find some nice clothes to wear during these hard times."

"You can get anything you want for free, I'm gonna get some stuff as well."

After around half an hour of walking, they arrived at the front doors of the shopping centre and entered through the front doors without a care in the world. They looked around for a shop and saw a shop that sold expensive brands.

They picked up a lot of clothes that they liked and tried them all out and ended up taking their favourites with them.

They left the shopping centre through the back and noticed a lot of people who seemed to be building a stronghold of some sort around the entire parking area.

"Iris, do you want to go see what that is?"

"Yeah, sure."
