A strange feeling

"BEEP, BEEP, BEEP"

Kiko was exhausted, She had worked overtime and had only been able to get home at 10:00 PM. So she was not happy to hear her alarm so early in the morning. Kiko reached her arm to where her phone was placed and turned off the alarm, the annoying sound had successfully been stopped and Kiko could now get some more sleep. But she didn't, why? Because she is a responsible adult who has a job to go to. At least that's what she wants people to believe. She lazily lifted her lifeless body out of her bed and slowly walked to her kitchen. Like the day before, she sat down and ate her breakfast followed by her getting into her office attire as she was an office worker and brushing her teeth to then walk out of her apartment into the sea of businessmen and businesswomen, she blended in perfectly. Except she was late, so she wasn't walking like everyone else, she was sprinting. Like a wild leopard chasing after their prey except Kiko looked a bit more human-like and was definitely slower than one.

She arrived at work 5 minutes late, she walked into the room and quickly apologised for being late then proceeded to walk to her desk hurriedly trying not to be spotted by her boss. But Kiko wasn't so lucky today, her superior decided to scold her instead, once he was done her boss walked in, she mentally shrieked thinking about what would happen if he found out that she was late, he took things like being late very seriously so she was practically having a mental break done. Luckily her superior said that he wouldn't tell the boss about her being late lifting a heavy weight off her shoulders.

Her boss started to talk in his usual alpha like tone.

"Everyone, I'm very pleased to introduce a new person to our company. He is a well-known businessman and I believe that he will be a very good addition to our company". The man standing next to him was no doubt a very handsome man, The suit he was wearing was very flattering and fit well with his slim physique. His broad shoulders stood out a lot, his black hair brushed against his forehead and slightly touched the top of his glasses frame. He was reasonably tall and if you had to make an estimation of how tall he was you would probably say about 180 cm. In conclusion, he was a handsome man and Kiko couldn't help but feel like her eyes were glued to him.

"Please, introduce yourself", he added.

"Hello, My Name is Nakamura Jun, and I am looking forward to working with you all so I hope we can all get along. From now on I am in your care".

After Jun was done with his introduction, everyone went back to work and Kiko's boss started to walk towards the innocent 29-year-old with Jun closely following behind. Kiko started to mentally prepare for any negative words that could possibly come out of her bosses mouth but instead, she got a friendly greeting from her usually angry boss.

"Suzuki! As you should know, Jun is a new addition to our company, and he will be sitting next to you for the time being. So I do hope you two can get along well!"

"Of course, sir" answered Kiko

"Oh and also, if you don't mind at lunch break could you give Jun a tour of the office?"

'Do I even have a choice?' thought Kiko

"Oh, no I don't mind at all"

"Well then, I should get back to work! I will see you two later"

Finally, their boss had walked away and now it was just the two of them

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Suzuki was it?"

"Ah, yes my name is Suzuki Kiko, nice to meet you"

Once the brief introduction ended, Jun began working on the computer next to her, he was incredibly fast at typing and Kiko was sure that he was going to break the keyboard keys because of how fast he was typing. But miraculously he finished his work in a matter of seconds. Kiko was so amazed that she completely forgot about her own work until a deep voice interrupted her train of thought. Jun was looking at Kiko and wondering if there may have been something on him to make her stare at him so much, so he decided to ask her, as he was feeling quite anxious since it was his first day on the job,

" Ah, Suzuki san? Is there something wrong? You've been staring at me for a while now…"

"Is there something on me that has caught your attention?"

'Is there something on you? It's your damn face, it's so-distracting' thought Kiko.

"Ah sorry for that, it's just that-y-you type really quickly! It's quite fascinating!" stuttered Kiko

"Is it? Well, I learnt how to type at a young age so it's no surprise that I type quickly", replied Jun.

" Ah well, we should get back to work!" exclaimed Kiko.

"You're right, we should".

Before Kiko knew, it was already lunch break, meaning that she now had to show Jun around the office. Walking right next to such a handsome man and trying to stay concentrated, now this was going to be a challenge. Kiko couldn't help but feel very strange when she was Jun, what possibly could be the cause of this strange feeling?
