1 House Fire

I wake up at 7 A.M to the buzzing of my alarm clock.

"Another day another dollar" I say to myself as I shut off the clock. Then I get up slipping on my work boots.

I smelled my favorite bacon and eggs my mom always cooks for me before I head to work.

As I get my plate and sit down my Mom says.

"The Martin's dog jumped into our yard again I gotta take bones to the vet before that mutt if theirs gets her nocked up."

I eat a piece of bacon and respond with.

"how bad could it be out Pitbull breeding with a poodle that would make a very smart litter of pup's"

My mom gives the the the look I chuckle and say. "alright alright I'll call the vet after work today love you Mom" I eat the last bite give my mother a kiss on the cheek and out the door I go.

I get in my Chevy S10 shit box and head to a day at the sawmill.

(Lunch Break)

Me and my Best friend James sit in my truck.

"Yeah I gotta call the vet after work today stupid dog is gonna get pregnant if not."

James laugh's and says

"Them damn Martin's and their poodle"

We both laugh an I start packing a bole of weed.

I say

"You know it them damn Martin's"

we laugh and finish our break.

Now I'm off work and I call.

"This is Donald's veterinarian clinic how may we help you"

"Yes I would like to schedule an appointment for my dog to be fixed she's a brindle pit"

"Alright sir is your dog at least a year old"

"she's two"

"alright doctor Donald can squeeze you in on Saturday at noon"

"thanks"

I hang up and get in my truck James comes up to me.

"hey can you give me a ride to your place the old lady is at work and she has the car"

"sure hop in man"

We get to my house and what I see frightens me. Fire burst out the living room window. I don't even shut my truck off I bolt out of it and ran to my door kicking it in. Flames shot out burning my right arm. then I run into the house.

I yell

"Mom!!" no response I hear bones barking in my mom's room I rush in my mom is knocked out on her floor her windows busted open. I throw bones out the window to James and went to pick up my mom when I the roof caved in I moved my mom out of harms way but got smoked in the face. knocking me flat on my back. Dazed but still conscious I pick my mom up and head for the door the roof caved in some more swinging just right it hit me in the back of the head I fall towards the door my mom falls out of the house but then the door way caves in trapping me in side.

I get back up and head for the back door. Now both my arms are burnt and I got a gash on my right eye. The back was nothing but flames I'm surrounded by fire in the kitchen.

I see a none broken window but flames closing in. I bolt for it and dive through it. The fresh cold March air hit me and I feel myself passing out I crawled as far from the house as I good I seen lights of the first responders before I go.

I wake up in a hospital bed my Mom next to me.

"Where is James is bones okay."

"it's Saturday he took her to the vet for us"

"What but it was Monday"

"you was in a comma for a few days son it's time I told you about you're father"
