11 Chapter 10 : Exorcism

He nodded his head and then took the object of his misfortune, which was exactly as he described it, out of his pocket and placed it on the table.

Eiji looked carefully at the paw for a moment and then went to the bookcase and pulled out a book called "Anullette and Gri-gri".

He sat down on the couch in front of Ito and began to turn the pages of the book before stopping at a particular page he read aloud.

"In some cultures, the foot of a rabbit is carried as an amulet believed to bring good luck. This belief is held by individuals in a great number of places around the world, including Europe, China, Africa, and North and South America."

Ito hearing this rubbed his bald skull asking with an expression of incomprehension.

"Why am I so unhappy? My luck has never been worse!"

"Because the amulet you have is only one of the two parts of the rabbit's foot amulet. According to the books that belonged to my father, the rabbit's foot amulet comes from an ancient magic of the Middle Ages."

"A spell that gives luck has to extract that luck from somewhere, so the left paw you have is a luck extractor that absorbs the luck of its victim which it then passes on to the owner of the right paw who then recovers the stolen luck."

Dewa hearing this wiped the sweat from his fornt with a terrified expression.

"Such a thing exists in this world."

"Why not, ghosts do exist, why not magic? Even if you say there are aliens in this world I would believe it." Eiji said as he closed the book and watched Ito panic.

"Can you handle this kind of case?" Dewa asked as he looked at the rabbit's foot, Ito also looked at him with great hope in his eyes.

"I can not only take care of it, but I can also return all the bad luck you suffered to the owner of the anulet who cursed you with the left rabbit's foot."

Ito started to cry and thanked Eiji several times but before Eiji touched the anulet, Dewa stopped him.

He looked at Ito and coughed loudly as if to remind him of something.

Ito understood what Dewa meant and hurriedly took an envelope out of his pocket and respectfully placed it on the table.

"Here's ¥500,000, that's all I have since I lost almost all my savings, please help me!"

Dewa nodded to Eiji who then took the rabbit's foot with his right hand.

"I've had plenty of time to study the chains and I've come to a conclusion."

The rabbit's foot in Eiji's hand was suddenly tied with a chain that wrapped itself around the rabbit's foot like a predator capturing its prey.

"My chains are extremely voracious and especially like to feed on supernatural matter such as ghosts or that cursed rabbit's foot."

As Dewa and Ito watched in amazement, the rabbit's foot began to roar terrifyingly, frightening both of them, while a dark aura emanated from Eiji's hands before disappearing a short time later.

The chains magically disappeared into Eiji's palm, leaving only a pile of ashes in his hand.

SCH motor, the company in which Ito the CEO worked, Takai Shinzaburo was a man in his thirties, he always had a smile on his face and was a rising star in the Japanese business community.

He was sitting at the top of a chair in the meeting room of SCH Motor surrounded by several co-workers, when suddenly his nose was bleeding.

He then wiped the blood from his nose in front of the astonished eyes of his collaborators.

"Are you all right, Mr. Shinzaburo? Do you want me to call a doctor" asked his secretary.

At the same time in a building under construction in front of SCH Motor one of the crane operators accidentally poured his coffee on the dashboard of the construction crane.

The crane carrying a steel girder began to rotate at full speed, the obsolete cables holding the steel girder gave way, at the same time the crane operator managed to stop the crane from turning, but this had the effect of throwing the steel girder towards the building opposite.

The beam went through one of the building's windows and hit Takai Shinzaburo, crushing him to pieces under the screams of his co-workers, who received pieces of his crushed body in their face.

Ito joyful and in tears left Eiji and Dewa's office after thanking them.

Dewa retrieved the envelope from the table with a smile and then his eyes and Eiji's eyes met.

"Dewa."

"Eiji."

"HAHAHA our business is doing well!"

"How about some Sushi?"

"No, I'd rather have a nice steak."

"As you wish, let's go have some fun."

The two merry men closed the company, then left by turning off the sign in front of it.
