As the stars winked over the night, he listened as the haunting strains of her voice faded into silence. Pure and clear as a mountain spring, it sounded heavy tonight. The winds rushed in from the sea, ruffling his hair as he stepped closer to the edge. Closing his eyes, the boy tilted his face towards the bright moon, lighting his features. White hair, almost silver, shifted over his forehead, his glacial blue eyes glinting under pale lashes and the night sky.

The boy reveled in the salt of the night air, feeling the ocean breezes flow across the cliffs and in his cave. He looked out at the rocks and stones rising out of the ocean, and he opened his mouth.

The deeper timbre of his voice rang out across the ocean, swirling through the stone grottos extending into the horizon.
