"Why are you dressed in the school uniform in your own room?" Kanaru asked curiously.

"Ahh! Today is the System Scan event. I'm going to be late!" Uiharu exclaimed. She looked very concerned.

'Is this my fault?' Kanaru could only sigh.

"Sorry, but I must go quickly." Uiharu apologized by bowing slightly to Kanaru.

She left her room with a backpack and closed the door.

When she was about to run...

"Wait, I'll help you." Kanaru said.

"Hikari-senpai?" Uiharu was confused.

Kanaru quickly carried Uiharu like a princess and jumped out of the building.

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...!" Uiharu screamed.

Kanaru landed without complications to the rooftop of another building. He paused for a moment waiting for her to calm down.

"Wait! Wait! Aren't you a level 2 with a medicine related ability l?" Uiharu asked.

"Yes" Kanaru said confirming.

"But..." Uiharu couldn't finish her question because Kanaru started running on the rooftop and she held on to his neck.

"I only did a little exercise plan these 2 years that I was inactive." Kanaru said in a funny tone.

"That doesn't make any sense!" Uiharu exclaimed.

Kanaru jumped and landed in another building; he repeated this process several times.

Kanaru landed softly in the middle of an alley and carefully released Uiharu.

"And here we are! You just have to cross the street to get to your school." Kanaru said in a funny tone.

"Why did you do something like that?! We could have died!" Uiharu exclaimed pointing at Kanaru.

"I couldn't allow my kōhai to miss that exams, it's a very important one after all." Kanaru said with a smile.

"Ahhh?" Uiharu didn't know what to say to that answer.

"Just go, surely you have friends waiting for you, don't disappoint them. Good luck on your exams!" Kanaru exclaimed.

"Okay, okay, I get it. God, first Misaka-san with her amazing ability and now I met someone who can jump buildings" Uiharu muttered.

'Misaka-san huh…' Kanaru could hear her.

"No one has seen us, so don't worry about getting attention." Kanaru added.

"Although what you did isn't right, you did it with good intentions. I really appreciate it, but don't do it again!" Uiharu said in a grateful tone, but in the end, she exclaimed remembering all the fear she had in her 'flight'.

She walked by herself shortly after, but before leaving the alley she turned to see Kanaru.

Do you have a contact number? Uiharu asked in a shy tone and showed her cell phone.

"Huh?" Kanaru was slightly surprised, but then smiled.

"xxxxxxxxx" Kanaru mentioned his number.

She quickly saved the number to her contact list.

"Done, mine is xxxxxxxxx" Uiharu said with a cheery expression. She soon ran away without looking back.

"Huh... she didn't even wait for me to get my cell phone out." Kanaru shook his head and stored his number on his own cell phone.

Soon after, he also walked a little until he reached the edge of the alley. He stopped and looked outside.

What he saw was many students in the Sakugawa Middle School uniform heading to the front door of that school. Many of them looked enthusiastic and discussed the progress of their studies with their friends.

Kanaru saw many warm smiles and there were even little children who saw those students with eyes full of admiration. One student in particular tried to surprise a child by throwing a water ball into a honeycomb of a nearby tree, but the water ball exploded in his hand and he ended up completely wet.

The children ended up laughing at him and the nearby students did the same. Even Kanaru saw Uiharu laughing with a woman with long black hair who appeared to be her friend.

Kanaru slowly returned to the alley. He stopped and watched the palm of his hands closely.

"That is no longer my world." Kanaru muttered with a dark expression.

He disappeared in a black flash.
