Kanaru appeared in front of a 5-story apartment complex.

The door opened and Kanaru observed a woman with short black hair and dressed in the Sakugawa Middle School uniform. Her most notable feature was a flower headband located in her head.

"Hello, you are?" The girl asked.

"Good morning, I am the previous resident of this room. I know this question is a little strange, but do you know where my things are?" Kanaru asked in a friendly tone.

"The previous resident? This room is property of my school, it was also empty for more than 1 year" The girl looked confused.

"So... there was nothing here before you arrived?" Kanaru asked.

"Sorry... there was nothing" The girl said.

"..." Kanaru sighed.

"Ah! I remember there was a photo under the bed!" The girl exclaimed.

"Could you please show me that photo?" Kanaru perked up.

"Um... could you tell me who you are?" The girl asked.

"My name is Hikari Kanaru. I was a student at Sakugawa Middle School." Kanaru said.

He took out his student ID and handed it to her.

"Let's see... Hikari Kanaru. Ability: Recovery. Level: 2 Eh… ?!" As the girl looked at Kanaru's card she seemed surprised at something.

She looked at Kanaru's face and the image on the card again and again.

"They don't look alike!" She exclaimed.

"A person changes after 2 years," he added.

"I just need the photo and I'm leaving." Kanaru said.

"That good... wait." The girl said when she saw Kanaru's determined face.

She returned his ID and closed the door. After a couple of minutes, the door opened again.

"Here it is." She handed Kanaru a framed photo.

He received the photo.

"..." Kanaru held up the photo and many complex expressions were reflected on his face.

It was the photo of his parents. His father was smiling and his mother had a baby in her arms with a warm smile.

"Hikari-senpai?" She was worried.

"Ah... sorry about that." Kanaru's expression returned to normal and he put the photo in his backpack.

"You didn't tell me your name." Kanaru said remembering that she didn't show up.

"I'm so sorry!" She apologized.

"My name is Uiharu Kazari. Nice to meet you" She introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you too." Kanaru said with a smile.

And so, a bond of friendship was formed in Kanaru after a long time.
