Chapter 3

"Hurry up, I want to get out of here".

"You think it's easy, why don't you try it, I haven't even been trained to use one of these".

"Ughh, fine".

Sareba and I were trying to find Dervan and Julin so we could go report our discovery to the commander. We are using one of those tracking thingies or whatever it is called, and right now we are officially lost.

"Are you sure we are going the right way Sareba, we've been walking for ages". I whined

She turned to me while pointing at the device, "Can you stop complaining and yes I'm sure we are going the right way it says so here, that just another mile or two we will find them".

"You should have said so since" I mumbled under my breath.

After a few more minutes of walking we heard shouting.

".....how dare you, do you know who I am, I am part of the elite team of the Intergalactic Space System and I command you to let me go this instant!!!, you sons of ------------------"

I couldn't listen anymore at that point, uh who she could cuss that well. I turned to to look at Sareba, I am very sure she was thinking the same thing as me because she was looking at Julin in awe.

I nudged her and mouthed "what's the plan?".

She mouthed back " You take out the two at the back, I'll take the front then we run for it before backup comes.

I nodded, sounded like a good plan to me.

I carefully found my to the back and looked up to see if Sareba was in position, we counted, 3 - 2 - 1, then we went into action, I quickly took out the guards and went to untie Dervan,

He rubbed his wrists and said

"Thank you, I thought I was going to die".

I frowned "Die?".

He nodded "Do you know how long she has been screaming?". He said while pointing at Julin who was still tied up.

"It was unbearable, I begged the guards to separate us but they didn't listen the best they could do was to gag her, she gave all of us an ear splitting headache".

Sareba then came out

"Yeah, we heard all the cussing, maybe I should enlist her name for the intergalactic cussing competition she might stand a chance".

I giggled "Must we take her along, we could always say that she died on the mission".

Dervan put his hand on his chin

"You know, that isn't a bad idea either, it could work".

Julin's eyes widened in realisation

"Mmmmfmmfmfmmmf"

"Sorry, could you repeat that" I mocked

Sareba smacked us at the back of heads

"Naughty, both of you, we can't leave her behind, though she is a pain in the ass". She chided, then she gave a sly grin.

"But nobody said we had to untie her"

Dervan was grinning "Works for me".

I shrugged "I'm okay with it but I still like the leaving behind plan better".

Sareba clapped her hands "Okay, now that we've all agreed let's get out of here, Dervan could you please drag our dear squad leader along".

Dervan did a mock bow "It would be my honour".

We had already reached out craft when we heard the sirens indicating our prison break.

"Ha, slowpokes, they just found out" I laughed.

Dervan was still dragging Julin along, I mean literally, on the ground. If I were to describe her for you we wouldn't leave this place but let me give you a picture.

Imagine someone who went through rain, rolled in mud, went to the beach and rolled in the sand and whose hair looked like it hadn't been combed in weeks.

Yeah that is just half of how bad she looks, but there is nothing a nice bath can't solve, right?.

"Okay people buckle up, time to leave" Dervan said while heading to the control base.

Sareba pointed outside where a whole group of hostiles were coming towards us.

"You might want to hurry up, our wonderful hosts want to give their thanks".

The countdown sequence for takedown started.

Then suddenly I remembered something we forgot.

"Hey guys, you do remember that part of the mission was to destroy the base".

"Holy mother of Pluto!!" Dervan shouted then he calmed down and gave a grin.

"Well then, I've got a nice opportunity to test out my new upgrades to the weaponry system".

I groaned "Looks like we taking a detour".

But I must say when I saw the explosions those babies made, I was impressed and that is saying something.

We went into hyper speed, no matter how many times that happens I will never and I repeat I will never get used to it. We entered space and after a few more minutes the NOVA came into view.

I heard Sareba sigh

"Well there is our stop".

I looked at Julin and cringed Sareba must have seen my expression cause she put her hand on my should and gave me a reassuring look. We entered the docking port through the under of the NOVA and we all stepped out, well not all of us since someone was still being dragged around.

Commander Tres was already waiting for us with a grin on his face.

"Ahh, nice to see all of you came back alive, then his eyes fell on Julin, his face fell and his grin turned into a scowl.

"Start talking, now"

We all looked at each other.

Oops, we've got a lot of explaining to do.
