5 Episode 5 - The Special Ability

"Esta, you are a princess?"

"Yes. Got any problem with that, Human?"

"Nice, so I defiled a princess...nice."

She hit me in the head with her bow, with her cheeks flushed red in embarrassment.

"Don't speak about that."

The elven guards are shocked to see Esta conversing with me. They all appeared to be quite handsome. So even the low-level guards of Elven towns look like super-models. Damn them, it was still me who has tasted the princess. That shouldn't be a thing to be happy about considering the circumstances involved but I always have had a hatred about handsome males.

No, it wasn't because I am unattractive. It's because...they are too attractive. I still remember the initial days when I would see the girls in my class surrounding the good looking baseball champion. He would treat them like dirt, spouting any kind of vulgar nonsense in their faces and they would be ecstatic about it. On the other hand, when I tried to approach him once because he literally called a girl "slut", I was rebuked by his female followers, stating I had no right to be disrespectful at him.

That's the reason I hate handsome guys. They may behave like the lowest scumbag out there but its guys like me who remain at the bottom of the happy-relationship ladder.

By the time, I reached the palace I understood one thing. If gazes could kill, I would have literally died more than ten thousand times. The look that the elven citizens were giving me, was like that. But I didn't scowl nor felt any anger. Their bias was justified. In fact, in the original world, there are humans who despise other humans just because they salute to the flag of a different country. So being angry at a race, because of their tyranny in the past isn't unjustified. Still, it hurts, to be looked like that because of someone else's mistakes.

The court of King was in two words - small and comfy. When I heard they were taking me to the palace I expected a 3 storey building that looks down upon the smaller homes of the citizens from above. But elves didn't bother with such flaunt of power. The palace was a single storey one, with approximate length to consist of 4-5 rooms. The King was just a leader, nothing else. If communism was actually possible to be used as a form of governance, it would be like this elven land. They literally shared everything. The King was given a better place to stay just as a formality to distinguish him from the others.

The King immediately issued orders to execute me when he saw me in the court but Esta protected me and told the king that she would like to have a private audience with him including me. The King was surprised but he obliged.

The other elves left us alone.

To describe Esta's father, he looked like her but given a male form. I can at least say that in my world anyone from a toddler to an old sugar mommy would say that his handsome face portrays kindness along with a strong determination. His gaze when he saw Esta return to Balkan, was full of relief and pure happiness. On the other hand, when he saw me...let's say he wanted to squash me like one squashes a bug on his bed.

"Where did you find this Human, my dear Esta?" (King)

"I found him near the outer areas of the forest, the places where slimes appear in large quantities." (Esta)

"Why are you talking about me, as if I am a dog that was picked by her?" (Me)

"There isn't much difference." (King)

"There isn't any difference." (Esta)

"Still, Dear Esta. This place hasn't been stepped on by a human in hundreds of years. I am quite exasperated because you sullied this holy land of ours bringing a creature such as that with you." (King)

"Father, I am more than willing to get killed for this evil action of mine but there are circumstances. This, Human, has sullied me and saved me at the same time." (Esta)

"Sullied you, but you appear alright. There's no way you'd get hurt by a mere human. Wait, don't tell me-" (King)

Esta said nothing but lowered her head in embarrassment. She was afraid to even look at King in the eyes. And, when the King returned me that 'I'll kill you bastard' look, I understood that he has understood everything.

"Petty Human. How dare you lay finger on my purer than driven slush of a child?" (King)

"I dared because if I wouldn't have done so, she'd not be here with us." (Me)

"What are you speaking about?" (King)

"He speaks the truth," Esta says "Taking this human for a spy, I was escorting him to the guards outside so that they can interrogate him in the dark woods, but we were attacked by a high-level Ibex Eagle."

"Ibex-Eagle? In these parts?"

"I don't understand how it came here but it was there. With a surprise attack, it used Hell freeze on me. You understand what happens, when it hits that, don't you? I would have been dead, there was no one to use any sort of healing potion on me, so to give me the heat to fight back its effect, this human...did that with me."

The King's gaze has softened somewhat but I can't say it because of me saving her or because of her fighting back her tears as she explained it all.

`" I am sorry father. It's all my fault. If anything, this Human has only saved me, ignoring the fact that I was hostile towards him."

King slumped in his seat. I think he was still angry with me but crucified too. I did do a wrong thing, but it ultimately led to her not being killed. From what I have heard about the Elves, they are proud beings who wouldn't dare forget a help that someone bestows upon them, and here we were talking about the Princess's life.

"Although I hate to say it, Human," the king said, "I say thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my precious daughter."

"No need. The pleasure was all mine."

Reeeee! Now Esta stared at me with eyes that could have murdered me a thousand times if we believe in the saying "If looks could kill."

"Still, what was the need for you to come here? Every human knows that it's dangerous to step into our Elven territory." (King)

"I have been wanting to ask about that too, Human." (Esta)

"You wouldn't have had to escort me here if you'd have just believed in me." (Me)

"Ha...Who in their right mind would believe a Human? Besides what you spoke were just a bunch of nonsense." (Esta)

"What about it?" (King)

"I will tell everything about it, but I want to say this beforehand, what I am about to say is as unbelievable as saying we can live without air." (Me)

"Go on." (King)

I decided to tell them everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. How I came here from the otherworld? How I decided to earn some money through killing slimes but came to the terms with my weakness, and how running away from them, I ended up meeting Esta.

"Nonsense." (King)

"Nonsense." (Esta)

"It's not." (???)

It wasn't me who spoke that. I looked back to see a mature looking beautiful elf, with shiny golden hairs and (wtf are those?) F-cup voluptuous breasts, slowly walking towards me.

"Holy Sister Algosaa." saying that both King and Esta bowed before her.

S-Sister?

Was she supposed to be a nun? She was dressed like one for that matter. She was dressed in a black robe that stretched all the way down to her legs. Unlike others, she didn't wear normal shoes. They had partitions to show her cute pearly white toes. The black robe gave a radiance to her milky white face. She was totally a moon goddess.

"Bow down before Sister Algosaa, petty human, or have you forgot the basic manners as well." (Esta)

"S-Sorry, She is just too pretty and I lost my mind for a second."

If I had a gun loaded with bullets right now, I would have shot myself. Have two years of being stuck inside my house playing eroges muddled up my conversation skills? I am literally spouting anything that comes to my mind ever since I have came to this world.

"P-Pretty...Me?"

Sister Algossa looked puzzled.

"Yes, Ms.Algossa, you are as pretty as the moon itself."

Does the moon exist in this world? I don't know. It has been just something around 2-3 hours since I have come here and got stuck in this rut of problems.

"Fweee...Thank you, Ichiri. I thought I am not attractive and that's why all the males stay away from me."

"I think, it's because you are too attractive, that they stay away from you. They probably think they are inferior compared to you."

"Fwaaaa…" she launches her hands in the air and then grabs me by my head slamming me into those bombastic melons of her "Thank you Ichiri for saying all these kind words."

"Sister Algossa?" (King)

"Sister Algossa?" (Esta)

Is this a comedy routine of the father-daughter duo to say the same expression when something beyond their imagination happens?

"Sorry, I was just too happy to hear his words." (Sister Algossa)

"By the way Sister, how do you know my name?" (Me)

"That's because Sister Algossa is a priest and monster powerful priests have the ability to gauge a person." (Esta)

"Yes.Yes. That's why I came here. When I saw this boy being dragged along by the guards, I used my magic to analyze him. And I must say, your highness, you must spare this lad. He is the one who will unify Omlur once again." (Sister Algossa)

"W-What, Sister, Don't tell me you believe in that fantasy too?" (King)

"It's not a fantasy. The book of Forecasts has stated that "The hero will come from outside the realm, and along with the army of 100 wives, he would banish the foe that wishes to sell Omlur to the demons." And I know this boy is not from this realm. His mana circulation is very different from the bodies of other Humans." (Sister Algossa)

"Other Humans? Sister, aren't elves supposed to be inside this forest city forever." (Me)

"Yes, but those with professions like Priests and Healers can go outside if they want. Elves rarely get afflicted with any disease. So Priests and Healers go outside from time to time to heal other species for free." (Esta)

"But don't you people despise Humans?" (Me)

"Most of them do. But with those like us, who have been bestowed the way to save a man's death and heal his grief, we can't commit to such hatred." (Sister Algossa)

Sister, you are so pure, if you were in our world evil men would certainly try to take advantage of you.

"So sister's what's the hero thing you were speaking about?" (Me)

"Thousand of years ago, this world was divided into two lands. One where the demons lived and one where all non-demons lived i.e Omlur. The side where demons lived was a barren land where vegetation was next to none, that's why their side was also called "The Barren Lands". Demons relied on us the people of Omlur to get food and in exchange, they provided magical items as Demons were most endowed with the magic capacity and they were extremely strong magicians. Until one day, when the Emperor of Omlur, after having trained a healthy batch of magicians through the help of demons, stopped giving them food. He feared that Demons would mix with the species of here and one day when their numbers would increase, they would dominate the other species. Demon were significantly less in numbers when compared to other species. The Demon King didn't like this one bit. He told that demons would take revenge and consume the whole world for the demons. The Emperor who was a human was portrayed as a tyrannical being who would consume the rights of other species too, by the demons who secretly infiltrated in Omlur. Rightly so, at that time the war between Elves and Humans broke out. We Elves hid in such forest towns spread over the Omlur, but other species either won or lost, nations belonging to one species were formed or destroyed. The whole Omlur is now divided between various nations dominated by various species. Humans lost a great deal in that war. They were wealthy and they were in large numbers, but they weren't strong. Most species have defining attributes but only one in thousand humans ever get bestowed with an in-born skill. Now Humans aren't as strong as they used to be, that's why most of the cities run by them try to integrate other species with them. Around a thousand years ago, a hero by the name of Rube appeared…"

Rube, Rube, Rube. Where have I heard that name?

Wait, wasn't he the main protagonist of the game in which I teleported?

"Hero Rube had an inkling that several demons, along with some humans have formed secret cults, to crush Omlur and make it demon land. Millions of lives would be lost to fulfill it, so he went on a mission to stop them. He asked others but all took him for a fool deluded by his will to become known as he was born to a poor farmer. Even after, they become adventurers, such poor humans can only become rich and famous by doing feat done by a few. Rube faced the demon at last, but he knew he would lose, as he was too weak to face it alone. Before going to try defeating the demon so that he can at least buy time before the Unholy ritual should happen, he told someone that someone will come, he will bring him, the hero who would defeat the secret cult, with a large number of wives. For wives of such a great person would follow him, when other people of his same species or different species won't. He told this to an old Elf Healer Sage, Father Petrigus before Rube went to the demon land."

"..."

"I know this is too much for you to take in...but...did you notice if you have an unnatural weird in-born talent."

"Yes, a skill called Polygamy. In fact, I was about to ask about it for Sister can gauge the person."

"Yes, that skill is special, and it proves that you are in fact, the fated hero."

"How? That skill couldn't even save me from mere slimes."

"Your special ability is that you can marry numerous times."

"Wh-Whaaaat?"
