Welcome to Swiftpoint

After Looking at my status, I got up and slowly walked towards the minotaur's head and started to poke and prod to see if there was any crystal there, and low and behold, there was. I used my sword to knock it onto the grass so I wouldn't have to look at the disgusting thing anymore as I grimace just thinking about it.

As I picked up the gem, I noticed that even when it was stuck in the head of the minotaur, it was as if it had just come out of a jewelry shop. There were no bloodstains or anything, which is weird. By looking at the crystal, one could see it's of the highest quality now, I'm no Gemologist, but it seems high quality. The gem's appearance is beautiful; it sparkles in the sunlight giving off this mystic vibe.

After observing the gem, I shoved it in my leather pouch, sheathed my longsword on my hip, and got the hell out of here.

"Alright, now which way to go? Should I go where the minotaur appeared or should I go the opposite way," I said to myself, knowing full well the answer to my question.

As I walk the opposite way.

"So long mino" as I wave my hands behind me

20 minutes later~

"Welp, I'm lost," I said as I looked around the forest. Hopefully, a passerby walks along here; who am I kidding? I thought to myself, and no one will go in the middle of the forest where monsters can appear out of nowhere.

As I was going over my misfortune of being transported in an unknown forest, I narrowed my eyes on the bush that just shivered? I slowly put my hands on the hilt of my sword, preparing to draw it, on whatever's in the bush jumps out. Please don't let it be the mama Minotaur or I'm for sure going to die.

And out came a wolf-girl? Girl-wolf? well, whatever she is, she looks like she just went through a bloody war. She was covered in blood; her armor couldn't even be considered armor anymore; it was so tattered and bathed in blood one couldn't even recognize the original form.

"Hey girl, are you alright," I asked.

Of course, she isn't okay. I told myself as I pulled her into the shade.

"Alright, I know some first aid training, so I got this," I told myself.

Hopefully, she wouldn't mind if I removed her clothing a little bit, I thought to myself as I removed a layer of her clothing to see if there was any visible wound on her body; as I slowly looked over her body, I noticed a significant slash mark on her body as I was mulling over what I was going to bandage the gash with. My eyes widened over what I saw; the Huge Gash mark slowly started to meld together, leaving no trace of a giant wound on her back.

Alright, so that just happened as I put her clothes back on. after thinking about what I should do, I heard a rumbling noise coming from my stomach alright, I get it as I start to make a campfire. hopefully, that Baby Minotaur taste good because that's the only thing I got, as I put the meat on the campfires

As the sky darkened, the only thing visible was the bright campfire in the night sky and the aroma of cooked meat.

"well, the cooked minotaur isn't exactly tasty, but It definitely filled me up," I said after swallowing a massive chunk of meat. before I could figure out what to do, I heard a slight commotion happening to my left, right where the girl is

As I looked to where I heard the commotion, I noticed that the unconscious girl had started to wake up.

"Hey, Ms, you shouldn't move around after what happened to you," I said with concern as I tried to stop the girl from getting up with some difficulty.

"What...What happened that shouldn't have happened? the girl cried out

"Hey, calm down now. I don't know what exactly happened, but I'm pretty sure an injured person shouldn't be wasting their energy like that," I said.

"Hey Ms, do you remember your name."

"My name is *cough* Ryva, who are you," the injured girl now known as Ryva asked me.

"I'm Skye. I found you unconscious in the forest. Do you have any idea what happened to you or how you got there" I questioned

"Here, take some water and food. I don't think you'll live that long without them," I told her as I passed a canteen and some meat to Ryva

"Thank you," Ryva said, so what exactly do you want to know?

"If it's not too much to ask, I would like to know how you were injured and where exactly are we" I asked.

"We're in the Tower of Babel, a Tower filled with monsters on each level. Some say that the tower is never-ending, others think that if we reach the top, we could gain great fortune what I think doesn't matter in the long run, *Heh* we are on the 13th floor," Ryva explained.

"and how exactly did you get injured."

"I was getting to that, myself and 4 of my guildmates decided to go to the Tower to gain experience and gold to gain money for our God and guild; everything was going great. We killed some goblins here and there. After going down levels, we managed to run into a minotaur. It had already seen us, so we had no other option but to fight.

"It was going well; we wore it down for one of us to get the killing blow, but something happened. It suddenly went berserk."

"Berserk," I asked

"Yes, the only way a minotaur can go berserk is if one of their offspring dies, but we didn't see nor recollect their ever being a child minotaur."

"Ooh," I replied.

Nah, there is no way that Baby minotaur is the one that caused this, I thought, denying any possibility of causing this.

"We need to get back to my Kazoku," Ryva said in a hurry getting up from the ground as if she didn't just get maimed by a berserk Minotaur.

40 minutes later~

During the travel, I got to know more about Ryva, how the Tower of Babel works, and what precisely a guild is, supposably a guild or Kazoku as Ryva calls it, is a family founded by a God or Goddess so for example, Ryva Guildmaster or God is Fūjin the Japanese God of the Wind. The Tower of Babel, or what they like to call the Dungeon, is a Tower that pierces the heavens, and each level has a set of monsters that spawn; while sometimes there are abnormal monsters, there is only a 25% chance of ever seeing an unnatural Monster's

[Quest: Join a Guild]

[Timelimit: N/A]

I knew that Gods existed in this world I just didn't think it would be gods from Earth, I thought to myself.

"Were here," Ryva told me as she led me towards an opening

Upon stepping out of the Tower, I was blinded by the morning sun shining in my eyes. I shielded my eyes with my hand, and I couldn't believe the view I saw, thousands of buildings and a bustling crowd shopping at what looked like a market?.

"Welcome to Swiftpoint," Ryva said

"So since we're out of the Dungeon, I wanted to ask what you were doing in the Tower; I would've asked earlier, but it didn't seem to be the right time to ask with being in a hostile environment, and all" Ryva asked as we started walking out of the Tower.

"Well, you see, I can't really remember. I must've drunk too much *haha* I laughed nervously, hoping she doesn't find the fault in my lie

"Here we are; this is where my Kazoku is," Ryva said as she pointed to an oriental Japanese house

"Come inside" she waved to me

When I entered the house or more like a temple I noticed how homely it felt, there were people drinking what looked to be tea everywhere.

"Here we are," Ryva said as she shoves a pouch in my hand. "This is repayment for saving me and everything" as she gives me a bow

"What exactly is in here," I asked as I took a look in the pouch my eyes just widened I have never seen that many gold coins or gold in general in my entire life

"It's about 30 gold coins enough for you to stay in an Inn with food included for about two weeks, and don't worry about it. Think of it as a thank you from my Kami-Sama," Ryva said

"If you take a left from here and keep walking down, you'll see a sign called the Iron Heart Inn."

"Thank you I really do appreciate it, Ryva hopefully, we will be able to meet again in the future, but I'm gonna have to take my leave, I'm exhausted so I'll see you later" I waved goodbye and left the building.

Alright, now let's head to the Inn I told myself as I walked down and took a left. This seems to be it, I open the door, and I'm greeted with a well-lit Bar

"Hello, I was wondering what the price is to stay here for two weeks," I ask the receptionist.

"Good Evening Ms.. It'll be 20 gold coins to stay here, including all meals," the receptionist replied.

"That would be great" as I pass her 20 gold.

"This is your room key. If you lose it, you will have to come to the reception and ask for a new one. if you need anything, you can ask the room service for anything, of course". Here you are as she passes the room key

"I hope you enjoy your stay."

As I walk to my room, I'm greeted with a one br/b and enough space to live comfortably.

when I lay on top of the bed, I'm greeted with sweet comfort and slowly drift off to sleep
