1 The One

Xiang Die has been in the courtyard of her home for so long, waiting for her father to arrived. Today is the day that the emperor will select the next batch of his consort. Married are banned for now, but Xie Xiang is worried that she will be selected although her father is one of the minister in the palace and would not allow his only daughter to be married of to the emperor and be wasted. He mention to her before that the one suitable to be his son in law is the great general Ming Xiu who has defeated 3 kingdoms for his older brother the emperor. Many ladies admire the great general but no one has caught his attention yet. They say general Ming Xiu has already a lady in his heart and the war he had won was for the lucky lady who has stolen his heart.

This made her heart wonder of the fame general who her father wishes to be her husband one day so out of curiousity she decided to disguise as a man and went out to see if the general is really what the rumors say.

"My lady, you look very handsome!" exclaimed the maid. " Thank you... but do I look okay will someone really not recognize me as a girl" Xiang Die said. " But of course although you will get a lot of stares because of your beauty but who cares perhaps it will help you on this endeavors of yours" Ling Bie encourged her to go through this mission. General Ming Xiu is currently at the border of the country of Liang and Ling Bie brought the news. that the general is recruiting a new set of soldier and suggested to Xiang Die to disguise herself as a soldier and see if what her future husband is like and investigate if he really has a woman is his heart.

"He is not my husband Ling Bie! he might not even know I existed. It was only a wishful thinking of my father who wanted to see me bore a son to the fame general!" Xiang De said. " Well atleast you might please your father if you caught the attention of the general and besides no one will know that you are lady of nobility... I mean look at you! " Ling Bie brought her a soldiers uniform from one of her maids cousin who drafted for the war but died before they set out. "Here is his paperwork from now on until you drop your soldier hat you will be called San Xiang, how fortunate his name is so close to yours perhaps this is fate? " Ling Bie, walked in front of Xiang Die and hug her and said "I wish for you to find the happiness you deserve if by some miracle you get the attention of the general and you fall for him then perhaps this can make you father very happy." "Lady Ling Bie thank you I wish to help father and also wanted to find the right man for me before the emperor select a new consort if by any chance this general Ming Xiu is the one then I cannot wait to meet him" " Good! Good! atleast your good on your arrows and great in horseback riding this will help you on your way but promise me you will write letters everyday so I can have a peace in my heart. " Xiang Die looked at Ling Bie with tears in her eyes and said "Ling Bie my best friend I will take care but please also take care while I'm gone although I hope father wont find out since he is in an expedition on another country and wont be back for a month but in case he came back earlier just tell him I decided to go to our house in the outskirt to rest. And so this is where the journey of Xiang Die started.
