36 Operation - Seducing Linfeng : the Date (I)

Because it was the weekend, the amusement park was filled up with all kinds of people. More were kids with their guardians, some were couples, and a lot were groups of teenagers hanging around to have fun.

However, there was a group that stood out from the crowd. Many people could not help but glance their way.

The group consisted of two beautiful teenage girls, a boy with glasses, and a handsome young man. Their looks were not the only one making them stand out the most but, their aura and demeanor as well.

The lively girl in the red dress and brown wedged shoes looked like a model with her full figure. She was the only one who was talking non-stop in the group. 

The silent beautiful girl in a blue dress was like a noble princess that came out from a painting. Her every move was graceful. At one glance, she was a well-bred young lady from a prominent family. Her face was a bit expressionless and indifferent though.

The boy with the glasses was a bit slender and not very tall, around the same height as the girl in red, or maybe a few more 

inches taller. He was quiet and looked incredibly bored. Even though he looked a bit weak and small, he gave off the air of a scholarly prodigy.

The other youth was exceptional. He was very tall and his body was quite lean, with a hint of low-key strength. He was unusually handsome and has a unique combination of gentlemanliness and masculinity. His face appeared to be placid, but if one looked closely, he often stole glances at the beautiful girl in the blue dress. 

Many girls were looking on his way with blushing faces.

The girl in red observed the surroundings for a while and inched closer to the other girl.

"Xiong Zhi... Let's start our plan now," Song Xuantin whispered to Xiong Zhi.

Xiong Zhi nodded. She walked over to Linfeng and at the same time, she turned her head towards Gu Zhen.

"Gu Zhen, can you accompany Song Xuantin to buy tickets for the play? I'm going to buy something first with Linfeng."

Gu Zhen glanced at Xiong Zhi. In a bored voice, he muttered.

"Why do you need to buy a ticket for the play? What am I doing here in the first place?" 

Gu Zhen was really bored. He was not fond of going outside. He would rather lock himself up with his beloved computer inside his room.

However, he only got a cold glare as a reply. Although he did not know why he was here, or what they will be doing here, he still followed Xiong Zhi's order. The key yesterday was an unexpected yet precious gift for him. When he thought of the latest edition disk for a virtual reality game that was inside his locker, he regained his spirits. 

Besides, Xiong Zhi promised that he could stay for another week. It meant that he was freed from his father's nagging for a week, and could focus on his game. Without looking at his companion, Song Xuantin, he went to a stall with a long line in front of it and lined up. Song Xuantin trotted after him.

Xiong Zhi and Linfeng went to the opposite direction.

Xiong Zhi was in front, Linfeng was on the back. Xiong Zhi tried to slow down her steps so they could walk side by side, but Linfeng also slowed down. This made Xiong Zhi frustrated.

Suddenly, she turned around and faced him. Linfeng was a bit startled by her movement.

"Let's walk together. Side by side." She looked around, stepped closer to Linfeng, and held his hand.

"So we will not be separated in this crowd," she said casually as an excuse. But her mind was already focused on their intertwined hands. 

This move, of course, was specified in their secret planner.

"..."

Linfeng did not say anything. He just let Xiong Zhi lead him forward. Occasionally, his dark lashes would sweep down as he loodow at their clasped hands.

He felt the same indescribable feeling again.

Song Xuantin's and Xiong Zhi's step 1 and step 2 were accomplished smoothly. 

Step 1. Find a way to get alone with your man. 

Step 2. Make an excuse to hold his hand as smoothly as possible. 

Now, for Step 3. Ice breaker: play a game to enhance your relationship. It is important to have fun together.

Hmm. What game should they play?

Xiong Zhi entered a stall with stuffed toys and toy guns as decoration. The stall was called 'Toy Hunt'.

The name of the store told it. You need to pay for every 3 bullets of the toy gun. Then, shoot down the stuffed animals in the counter, four meters away. If you managed to shoot a stuffed toy down, then it will be yours.

Xiong Zhi led Linfeng to that area. She pulled the youth's clothes and then pointed to an elephant stuffed toy at the shelf.

Linfeng saw it and asked.

"Does Young Miss want it?"

Xiong Zhi nodded.

"Call me Zhi'er," she added. 

Linfeng just smiled and paid for three bullets. He held the toy gun and casually aimed.

Bang!

No movement from any stuffed animals. He turned around to Xiong Zhi to confirm.

"Just the elephant?" He asked the girl, still aiming the toy gun.

"Add the blue rabbit as well."

The moment she was finished saying that, two bangs sounded out.

Two stuffed animals fell down from the shelf. One was the blue rabbit, the other was an elephant.

The staff was open-mouthed. He thought that this handsome youth would use a lot of bullets before he could take down a toy, because his first try was nowhere near the counter. The staff did not know that Linfeng was just testing the toy gun's shooting range and angle.

The staff sullenly took the two stuffed toys and handed it to the beautiful couple with reluctance. They did not earn at all from this. Thankfully, each bullet set was a bit expensive and not everyone was a sharpshooter.

Xiong Zhi accepted them, her faint face showing a hint of smile. She thanked Linfeng, grabbed his hand, and pulled him to another stall.

Have fun… Have fun…

The next stall was a bowling game.

In the bowling stall, the player must pay for every attempt on the ball. If the player managed to take down ten pins in one strike, he would get a prize. The prize was a stuffed toy in the shape of a bowling pin.

Still holding onto Linfeng's hand with one hand and the stuffed toys in the other, Xiong Zhi stared inside the stall and decided to give it a try. This should be a 'fun' game. She paid for two 'tries', one for her and the other for Linfeng. 

She chose the lightest ball.

When she got the ball, she let go of Linfeng's hand and let him hold the two stuffed toys. Linfeng took them with a smile and watched at the side.

Xiong Zhi weighed the ball in her hands, then went to the bowling area and lowered her body a little. She had not played any games aside from board games before. Even her opponent was always herself. It was a bit pitiful, now thinking about it.

But she still copied the other player's stance earlier. Taking in a breath, she threw the ball with all her strength towards the target pins.

A miracle happened.

Bang! Bang!

"Ouch!!!" A loud roar exploded inside the stall.

Xiong Zhi stared wide eyed, her hands raised in the air in fluster. The ball she threw earlier did not even manage to strike a single pin, nor came near to that area, although she used all of her strength. The ball hit the upper fence and bounce back towards the player's area, truly a miracle. A boy similar to their age was hit by her ball in the gut.

"Pfft." Linfeng who was watching at the side twitched his mouth. He raised a fist to hide his laughter. Someone got hurt, must not laugh.

When he saw how serious his Young Miss was when she threw the ball earlier with all her strength, he thought that Xiong Zhi would at least hit three pins. Instead, she did not hit one but managed to hit others! 

He knew the situation was bad. So swallowing his laughter, he stepped forward and apologized to the boy who was rubbing his gut. The boy's friends surrounded him in concern.

"We are really sorry. We didn't mean to do it. Let us send you to the clinic right away," Linfeng said apologetically, his demeanor appearing very sorry.

When Xiong Zhi heard this, she bowed to the boy seriously.

"I'm really sorry. It's my fault. I didn't control my strength well. Do you want us to send you to the clinic?"

The boy belonged to a group of teenage boys. He was really upset earlier and even wanted to ask his friends to roll in for a fight, but the moment he looked up, he forgot it.

He stared blankly at the two deity-like couple in front of him. His friends were also awestruck.

'Did I die from the hit? Are they angels?'

How could people be this beautiful and handsome! Were they celebrities?

Another boy recovered first and nudged the elbow of the boy who was hit. They could not afford to hit such beautiful faces. It would be a great sin!

Alas, appearances really mattered a lot in this world.

The boy was startled awake.

"It's alright, it's alright. Just be careful next time. It did not even get bruised." He even lifted his shirt to let them look.

His abdomen was a bit red, but it was fine. Before Xiong Zhi could check a bit more, Linfeng already blocked her vision.

"If that's it, you must still need cold compress. Please wait for us a bit," Linfeng said and held Xiong Zhi's hand. 

They went to a nearby food stall and bought an icepack. He also bought a face towel and went back to the bowling stall. Xiong Zhi was silent with her head bowed down. She felt guilty. It was her fault, but Linfeng was the one managing it.

She had wanted to impress, but caused trouble instead.

"I'm sorry, Young Miss, but for your safety, I have to bring you with me. Are you tired? Am I walking too fast?" Linfeng asked. When he glanced at her earlier, he saw how dejected she looked like. Linfeng thought Xiong Zhi was tired walking here and there. But he also could not leave her alone with a group of men. It was safer to be together.

Xiong Zhi was moved. Even though she caused trouble, Linfeng did not blame her and even thought first of her condition. 

"I'm not tired yet. Just... I'm sorry I troubled you. How about you, are you tired?" Xiong Zhi asked. Her usual cold voice has a tinge concern in it.

Linfeng smiled a little.

"I'm not, my physique should be stronger than Young Miss's. And don't worry, taking care of your problems is my job. So don't be troubled. I'm your aide. Don't think too much about it," Linfeng said subconsciously. But when he realized what his last sentence meant, he froze a little.

'Aide...'

He almost forgot that. He glanced at their clasped hands with a complicated look.

Then he glanced at Xiong Zhi.

Xiong Zhi relaxed a little but still lowered her head in embarrassment. 

In Linfengs' eyes, Xiong Zhi now looked like a cute little bunny, far from the cold statue that everybody usually see. 

He wondered, if he left her side and stopped becoming her aide, who would take care of her? He knew that she was cold and kept everyone outside, not letting them in or come closer to her, but somehow, he just felt that this girl was not just expressionless and unfeeling... but was actually very soft, sensitive, and lonely inside. 

Thinking that she was alone for most of the time for sixteen years, there was a sudden needlelike throb in his heart. There was also an indescribable feeling that made him want to protect the girl. 

The Xiong family was powerful, but there was also a lot of people who wanted them to fall down from grace and claim their spot. Her status was very sensitive, it could bring her harm and might even cost her life.

The protective feeling in his heart grew. He felt confused.

However, he suppressed all his feelings. He did not want any distractions right now. He would not be her aide forever.

He must succeed on achieving his goals. This… was unnecessary.
