2 Chapter 1- How they met

Chapter One

The boy awakened to sand in his mouth, eyes, and ears. It was a terrible feeling to have sand in every small crevice in your body. He shivered, coughing the salty water out of his throat. His face pale and purple as he did so. It was disgusting. An extremely horrid sight to see. After wiping the sand out of his eyes he looked up only to be blinded by the full moon.

His eyes darted around, looking at the white sand until they came to a stop after catching a glimpse at the shards of glass that were in his hand. Blood oozed from his palm. After looking around at what seemed to be broken mirror pieces around him, his eyes caught a look at the silky robe that covered his body.

It glittered in the light of the stars as if it were a snowy ghost enveloping him. His robe started to roll off his shoulders, so he pulled it up and re-tied the ribbon. It was quite beautiful, the silk fluttered around him as it was drying. It was soft, yet it didn't seem like something someone would wear as a nightgown, but as something that they could where to somewhere important. There were imprints of cherry blossoms that went from the bottom and slowly started to fade as they went up the robe. He had no idea why he was mesmerized by it, but who wouldn't be? It was something that looked like it could be worn by Royalty. It was classy yet comfortable. He was looking at it for a length of time, but the wind blew against his back and he felt his hair flow against his face.

"Hair?" he said out loud. The boy still didn't know of his physical appearance yet.

He stumbled to stand on his feet, tripping on air in the process. As he straightened his back, he almost fell again, for the waves seemed to be louder than they should've been and caused him to be dizzy. He caught himself before he completely fell. After noticing the slight pain from sand filling the wounds caused by glass on his feet, he bent down to pick up a shard of the mirror.

Shock caused him to drop the mirror. He couldn't believe his eyes. He blinked a few times before bending to grab the shard again. What is this monstrosity!?

He had to look again. He confidently, yet slowly, held the mirror up to his face. It was the same thing, it wasn't the water just playing tricks on him. He looked feminine. It wasn't to the point where it was obvious he was a girl, he just looked like a petite boy.

Fragile like the broken glass that surrounded him. His face was was small and his cheeks were flushed geranium pink. His eyes were white with a slight light blue. They were almost as white as the moon above him.

he had thin pale lips that were slightly tinted with red and a small button nose. While his hair, well, his hair was as white as the snow in a tundra wasteland. He shook his soft hair, freeing it of any sand that was left in it.

"I am a boy? Am I a boy? Are..Are not I?" He struggled to speak, not knowing if the sentences he just spoke were even correct.

He looked down at the space in between his legs. Yep definitely a boy. He dropped the mirror and walked towards the water, doing his best to dodge the shards on the sand as he went. He needed to figure out who he was and what he was doing here.

After getting closer to the water, he noticed that he got dizzier. The waves got louder with each step he took. He put his hands over his ears as he stepped a few steps back and looked at the vast sea in confusion.

"Umm...okay..?" He sat down in the sand and thought.

"Who am I? Is this...that..Is that a silly question to ask myself? I should know who I am, right?Name. Name name name name. What is name. My name. What is my name?" The boy started to get frustrated with his lack of ability to speak. It shouldn't be this hard to talk!

"My name…" He thought hard, but nothing seemed to come to him. The boy looked up at the stars as though they had the answer.

His eyes shot forward in realization, "Lucyndth!" He had no clue as to how he came up with the name or even where it came from, but it sounded right. It fit him. The boy stood up, this time being a little more successful than the last.

Lucyndth looked around, "Okay, Lucyndth, where to now? We can ask for.." he paused forgetting the word, "We can ask for help. Help..hm..what a weird word."

Lucyndth spotted that the beach was tilting into a small hill covered in marram grass. Light illuminated from the other side of the hill. He walked towards the hill while repeating his name.

Once reaching the top, he looked at the small boardwalk below. The boardwalk was lined with bright street lights and small shops of all kinds. Clothing stores and candy shops. Lucyndth's stomach grumbled at the thought of candy. At the thought of food.

He struggled to walk, for his feet had small bits of glass in them. After some time looking through the windows of the shops he came to the realisation that none of the stores seemed to be open. He stomach grumbled some more, "Okay, okay! I'm looking for some..for it now!" Lucyndth patted his stomach while talking to himself.

Passing the stores as he walked, he made a connection to their contents and their names. It was like he knew how to read but didn't know what the words meant.

"So candy is a type of something to eat.. A type of..food." Lucyndth struggled to speak while looking in the window of one of the shops, "It seems as though it's a small, very small, food. It's also covered in decorative wrappers." Lucyndth stepped back in surprise that he was even able to get out an entire sentence without having to make sure he spoke correctly.

After deliberating on if he should break the door to the candy shop or not, Lucyndth smelt a wonderful smell. Something cooking. Something that seemed a lot better than what was behind the glass doors in front of him. He could tell just by how amazing it smelled.Like someone was make something sweet. He never smelled anything so delicious in his life. If he did, he wouldn't know because he lost his memory. His stomach growled again, warning him once more that if he didn't eat he was going to pass out from hunger.

It seemed to be coming from the alleyway beside the candy shop. Lucyndth inched his way to the corner of the shop and peaked around it to see the alleyway. Nothing special, just a normal alleyway. The smell got stronger as he stepped into the alleway, but nothing indicated that there was any food near him.

He passed the back doors to many shops, the smell getting stronger and stronger as he passed each door. That was until he stopped at one. It looked like every door that he passed, but something smelled amazing.

Lucyndth looked up at the top of the building to see smoke coming from it. It was the only building that seemed to have any type of activity going on inside. He read the sign on the door out loud, "Lily's little Library and cafe" Lucyndth put his hand on his hip and squinted. "Library..Library..What is that? Don't those things hold information?" Lucyndth smiled, "That means they might have information on..about. On. Information about me! Food and information!?"

Lucyndth smiled hard. Whatever was in this shop could help him get more information on himself. He reached for the knob and found that it was unlocked.

'Wow this shop is really welcoming!' Lucyndth thought to himself.

He opened the door to be hit by a wave of that amazing smell. He stepped in to find himself in a kitchen. It was a small kitchen, nothing special. Green and white tile lined the floor. There was a wooden door on the other side of the room. He looked over and saw that there was a small wooden table beside the door that had chopped up fruits on it. Lucyndth walked over and grabbed one, stuffing it into his mouth.

He looked over at the stove and saw a large pot with steam coming out of it. After walking over and taking a whiff, he realised that it was filled with whatever was causing the smell he smelled outside.

Without thinking twice, grabbed the cover from another pot on the stove not realising that it was hot. He dropped the glass top on the floor, causing it to break, the hot glass scattering over and burning his bare feet. Lucyndth looked at the forming burn on his hand and almost started to cry. Before he could even realise that he made too much of a commotion, he felt something hit the back of his head. He fell on the ground.

....

The mysterious man poked at Lucyndth's limp body with a bat. This is the first time someone has ever actually came into the back of his shop. There wasn't any point in locking any of the doors since they're all protected with a spell. Someone would have to have strong magical force to even walk in this shop.

"He can't be a customer. He broke into the back. He must be someone here to get information." The store owner spoke to himself as he started lift Lucyndth's limp body. After carrying him up the stairs that led to the living part of the building, he brought Lucyndth into a storage room and tied him to a chair. He sat in another one from across from Lucyndth, bat in hand.

'Let's see who he works for.' The store owner thought to himself.

...

Lucyndth woke up to a room that was dimly lit by one dying light bulb above him. He looked around to see himself surrounded by boxes. In front of him sat a chair. Tears started to fill his eyes as he started to scream. He was panicking. The room was small and the rope was tight. This is when he discovered he was claustrophobic. He started to kick until his chair fell over, making matters worse.

The store owner walked in the door that was behind some storage shelves. Lucyndth couldn't see him, for the way the chair fell over was facing away from the door. He heard footsteps coming closer to him.

Lucyndth started to scream at the man that was most likely now standing above him, "WHO THE..WHO THE HELL..HELL ARE YOU!?" Lucyndth stumbled over his words, trying to give a threatening tone before bursting into tears, "And what do you want? What do you want from me?" He sobbed as the store owner gave a sarcastic sigh.

Lucyndth felt himself lift from the ground. After being sat up by the store owner, Lucyndth could see his face.

He stared in awe at the beauty before him. A wave of insecurity passed over Lucyndth's body. The store owner had long, light brown hair that, if let down, would be slightly past shoulder length. His eyes were light green and sharp. He had sharp features, unlike Lucyndth who had soft feminime features. A strong jawline accompanied by strong cheekbones. His lips thin and tinted with a reddish tone.

If that wasn't bad enough, he was tall and muscular. His white shirt fitting his torso, showing off what looked like years of going to the gym.

'Everything about him is good looking, and his aura, don't get me started on his AURA. He gives off the vibes of a GOD! HE'S A GOD!" Lucyndth's jealous thoughts were cut off, quite literally, by a knife pointed at his throat.

"I should be the one asking what you want. Okay, little child thing. Who sent you?" The store owner questioned Lucyndth as he held the knife to his throat.

"No...no one se-sent me." Lucyndth answered the store owners questions. This place isn't as welcoming as Lucyndth thought.

The store owner chuckled before looking down at Lucyndth's robe. It was a robe from the underworld. The store owner knew this for a fact, for that was the place he was born. His eyes shot back up at Lucyndth. He dug the knife into Lucyndth's skin enough for a little blood to leak.

"So how about you tell me who you really are, kid, before I slit your throat."
