18 Chapter Eighteen: Yui’s Mind

'Rian Yuki…' Yui Kotagawa thought as she glared at the boy walking into the classroom with a small robotic dog in his hands. It was like a paranoid a guard dog that protected it's owner from anyone. When she rushed over to take it, the dog barked at her as if it was warning her not to come near. It was disturbing the students, so in the end…she was forced to retreat with a frown on her face.

When they were outside earlier, she had spent all her time yelling at the hazel eyed boy. It made her lose all the time she had to check everyone else. She was very annoyed…if he wasn't so perverted and shameless, she wouldn't need to correct his actions….it was his fault.

Yui Kotagawa was one of the last remaining morale enforcers in the school. Every one seemed to get weirder as time went on. Yui believed herself to be one of the last decent people in this school…it was clear who she believed to be the worse.

'Rian Yuki…Pay attention!" Yui Kotegawa yelled in her mind while staring bullets at the boy talking to a group of girls while class was still in session.

"Kotegawa." The teacher called her name out, the teacher could see Yui wasn't paying attention.

"…" Yui didn't hear the teacher. She was to busy thinking of ways to correct his actions

A student next to Yui tapped her shoulder.

"Pay attention in class." Yui said despite staring a Rian Yuki.

"…The teacher called out for you." The fellow student twitched, they were very temped to not say anything again and let her get yelled at by the teacher.

Yui Kotegawa quickly turned her head towards the teacher.

"Kotegawa…please come up to the board and correct any mistakes." The teacher extended a piece of chalk with their hand.

Yui quickly stood up from her seat and took care of the problem, Yui was a hard working student. A single problem wouldn't cause her any trouble, even if she wasn't paying as much as attention as she used to.

"Very good, you may return to your seat." The teacher nodded before picking up the chalk Yui placed down.

As Yui walked back…her eyes never left Rian Yuki for a moment. After all…it was his fault for being so perverted during class.

'Rian Yuki…' Yui thought while hiding around a corner to staring at the boy talking to a group of males….most likely talking about lewd and perverted things.

"Kotegawa…what are you doing." Haruna said while while suddenly appearing behind Yui.

"Ahhhh!!" Yui screamed and turned around in response to the sudden voice behind her.

Nearby students looked over towards the person who suddenly screamed.

"Get to class!" Yui shouted at the group of students, when she herself wasn't in class.

"Yui…are you ok?" Haruna was worried that something was going on with Yui. Haruna could see that Yui had been staring at Rian all day.

"…Of course! Why wouldn't I be? I'm just making sure Rian Yuki is behaving correctly…that is all." For some reason, a blush could be seen on her face. It was unknown if it was because she was caught or because of something else…

" I didn't say anything about Rian ." Althrough, Haruna knew that Yui was staring at Rian, she didn't say anything about it. It was Yui who brought it up when she asked if she was okay.

"…I-I'm leaving!" The red faced Yui walked away very quickly. She didn't want to tell on herself any further.

Time passed by again and Rian Yuki was now going to the bathroom.

Naturally…Yui was watching him enter.

'Rian Yuki.' Yui continued to watch him everywhere he went. She didn't consider herself to be a stalker, she considered herself to be a watching enforcer of morals. She wasn't doing anything lewd or shameless…that's what she believed.

She really only believed Rian Yuki to be perverted and shameless rather than a delinquent like other people claimed. Believe it or not…there were quite a few students and new teachers who believed Rian Yuki to be a delinquent. He showed up late to school, he was surrounded by girls, he was always in the hospital, and he was always destroying stuff around the school. More people believed Rian Yuki was not a delinquent, but rather a average high school boy with above average misfortune.

Yui Kotegawa was a firm believer in this…

Yui Kotegawa had once seen a small Rian Yuki fall from a three story buliding with a cat and cat treats in his hands. She believed he was attemping to feed the cat, but the cat had backed away from Rian Yuki because it didn't know him. When it fell off the edge, Risn Yuki dived down to save it and had protected it from its fall to the ground. Even though she didn't know his name…she would always remember his face.

After that incident had happened…no matter how many things she heard about Rian Yuki, she would always defend him in the background and shadows.

Yui believed that Rian Yuki was one of the few remaining boys she could save, she would save him even if she had to go against her morals.

When Rian Yuki exited the bathroom…he suddenly stopped and looked towards her direction.

This sudden action made the heart of Yui sudden spike, this was the first time he even looked in her direaction. It was almost as if he knew where she was the entire time, but chose to ignore her.

Yui saw his indifferent face turn into a light smile…

However that light smile was soon replaced by a grin…

Rian grin deepened as he leaned his head from where he was standing…

This action shook the entire being that was Yui Kotegawa…

Currently Yui was behind a corner near the men's bathroom, it was quite a distance away, but if you leaned far enough…you could catch a glimpse of a person if they stood close enough to the corner.

Naturally Yui was standing close to the corner, so she could be seen. She quickly hide herself for unknown reasons with a beating heart.

'Why are you hiding Yui?! Only people with something to hide do that! Just step out and correct his actions.' Despite yelling at herself in her mind…she couldn't step out from behind the corner.

Suddenly…Fast foot steps were heard…Rian was one of the only people on this hall since this bathroom wasn't as close as the other one.

She heard Rian laugh…

Fear rose from inside of her and she suddenly started to run through the halls. It went against her morals, but now wasn't the time to worry about that.

Rian chased her down like prey.

She felt he was purposely moving slowly…she felt that he could easily catch her if he wanted. Those thought caused her to move faster. She ran out the school, yet she didn't stop running. His laughter could be heard behind her, it was like he was reminding her he never lost her.

She didn't know how long she was chased for, she only knew she was sweaty and tired…she couldn't see him anymore.

She couldn't run any more…she just laid down on a nearby bench snd tried to catch her breathe.

She closed her eyes, the sun was beaming down on her.

She suddenly felt a cold metal can hit her face and a familar voice enter her ears.

"Why did you run? I only wanted ask you you something." Rian said while looking down over the girl. He took a sip from his can and placed it down next to Yui.

Yui frowned at his words.

"You clearly wanted to chase me!" Yui didn't believe his words for a second. If he wanted to ask her something, all he had to do was say that. He instead chased her all around the school while laughing.

"…Yui you really love cats don't you." Rian asked while looking below her collar

"What! Of course not." Yui was lying…she loved cats.

"Really?" Rian didn't believe her.

"Of course! Stop trying to cover your shameless actions!" Yui sat up and pointed her finger at him with a strong gaze in her eyes.

"Alright…but you should really wipe the sweat off your clothing. It reveals alot about Yui Kotegawa." Rian said words that confused Yui before he walked off.

"Reveals alot? What does he eve-…" Yui stopped speaking when she looked down. She could see through her own clothing. She wore a pink cat labeled bra that she found in a store.

"Rian Yuki!!!!!!!!!!!" Yui yelled out with clear red on her face. She felt like hitting his head into the ground.

She grabbed the can of soda next to her and drunk it…she needed more energy to catch him.

Suddenly…she stopped drinking. The red blush on her face suddenly became redder.

She didn't bring a can of soda here…it was Rian Yuki. Not only did he bring it here, he also drunk out of it. The poor can was then crushed by her hand.

All of her energy came back.

She ran in the direction that Rian Yuki had walked in.

Even a hundred punches wouldn't be enough for her.
