15 Chapter 14: Yuragi Inn (4)

It's been a few weeks since Riyuo and Nao stayed at the Yuragi Inn. Later that night, everyone from the Yuragi Inn was having a peaceful dinner made by Chitose and Riyuo.

Chitose sat at the front table while Riyuo sat on the left with Nao sitting on his right and Yuuna sitting on his left, Nonko, Yaya, and Sagiri sat across from him.

"Chitose-san, Yaya wants seconds." Yaya handed her bowl to Chitose for her to refill.

Chitose smiled and taking the bowl from Yaya. "Yaya sure eat a lot huh? Be careful, you might get fat if you only eat and sleep all day."

Yaya gave her a smug look, "No need to worries. Yaya is a growing girl, and always go for a walk with Cat God!"

Sagiri secretly agreed with her. She also eat a lot, but she never worries because she trains every day with Riyuo.

"Riyuo-sama, you need to eat your vegetables too." Nao said as she tried to feed Riyuo.

Riyuo didn't fight back and just opened his mouth. "You know I don't really like broccoli, Nao."

"But it's good for your body." Nao said while feeding him one more time.

"I believe that not everything that is good is always good."

"You two are really close aren't you? Ne ne~ are you two also in a relationship like that?" Nonko said trying to tease Riyuo and Nao.

"Well, Nao has taken care of me and trained me since I was little. And yep we have that kind of relationship, Nao is mine neither less nor more." Riyuo said confidently and showed a serious face.

Hearing Riyuo's words, Nao became embarrassed and her face started to turn red. "Ri-riyuo-sama."

Instantly the dining room became silent, but suddenly Sagiri's cell phone rang breaking the silence.

"Excuse me for a bit." Sagiri bowed her head lightly before she stood up and walked outside before answering her phone.

In the anime and manga, Sagiri was a loner whose only friend was her partner in missions. So its really impossible for her to receive any normal call.

After a while, they heard Sagiri screamed, "WHAT!?"

Then she once again entered the dining room and bowed her head. "I'm sorry everyone, I need to leave. There's an emergency, a strong evil spirit has been spotted and I were sent to eliminate it."

After saying her farewell, Sagiri quickly left the Inn.

After thinking for a while Riyuo decided to follow Sagiri, he wanted to see how strong this evil spirit was and how Sagiri would fight it.

So after he finished eating, he stood up and walked toward his room.

"Thanks for the food, Chitose-san. I will go rest in my room now."

Chitose just smiled and nodded while Nao also stood up following Riyuo to his room.

"Riyuo-sama..." Nao said with a worried tone.

"Don't worry Nao, I'll just take a look and it won't be so long." Riyuo said as he kissing her on her lips.

"I will go now okay, I promise I will give you my love tonight."

"T-Then, I'll be waiting for you in my room tonight, Riyuo-sama~"

Riyuo nodded and put on a black hoodie while bringing his ninjato on his back. He then opened the balcony door and started jumping out while searching for Sagiri's tracks.

After finding Sagiri in a park, he saw her and another Chuuma ninja just a hundred meters away from the park where he saw the evil spirit.

'Is this an evil spirit? Well that's looks pretty strong, though I'm not sure Sagiri and her friends can win easily.'

Without wasting any more time, he using his shadow to conceal his presence and jump on a lamppost not too far away from the evil spirit.

The evil spirit was big as big as a horse, looking like a black humanoid monster, It walks on all fours and has sharp claws and fangs.

"Sagiri, are you sure we can take that?" Her partner Urara asked with a nervous grin.

"It's not a matter of whether we can or not, we have to do it." Sagiri replied as she started at the evil spirit which suddenly move and walk around the two ninjas, circling around them.

Riyuo decided to enjoy the show first for a bit. After all, he wanted to witness with his own eyes how different the spirit power and magic are.

WRRRYYYY!

The evil spirit roared as it dived down to Sagiri with its mouth wide open. With her speed, Sagiri easily dodged to the side before she glanced at her partner.

"Urara! Get out of here! This one is too strong for you, you'll only get in the way!"

"Roger!" Urara nodded, "But I can also fight! I'll support you Sagiri!"

Urara took out several kunais and prepared her self to support her partner.

Sagiri glared at the evil spirit as she launched an attack, "Ameno Style Demon Slaying Ninjutsu Ultimate: Autumn Rain!"

She summons a large number of kunai that circled around her before launching them towards the evil spirit.

WRRRYYYYYY!!

The evil spirit cried out in anger, the kunai that Sagiri threw pierced through the skin and black liquid like ink oozed out from the wounds.

The evil spirit then running towards Sagiri and showering her with claw attacks. Sagiri tried to dodge the attack but the evil spirit was too fast. When one of the attacks pierced through Sagiri's body, suddenly—

Poof!

With a puff of smoke, Sagiri vanished and appeared a few meters away, a log replacing her before she got pierced.

"Substitution Technique." Sagiri sighed. She was almost died by that evil spirit there.

Sagiri then did a hand sign, then smoke surrounded her. Then from the smoke came 5 Sagiri, that was a Clone Technique Sagiri used.

Sagiri and her clones tried to attack the evil spirit by showering it with a rain of kunai, but the evil spirit didn't care about the wound and destroyed Sagiri's clones one by one.

The evil spirit chased after Sagiri as trying to tear her to shreds while Sagiri gritted her teeth as she continued to move to dodge the attacks. The ninja girl managed to dodge some of the evil spirit attacks but she still got some shallow wounds.

"Sagiri!" Seeing her partner was pinched, Urara cried as she threw a several kunai towards the evil spirit. The kunai glowed for a second before exploding.

Boom!

The explosion caused a smokescreen making them unable to see the evil spirit's state. Sagiri quickly ran and stood beside her partner.

"Thank you, Urara."

"No prob—" But before Urara could finish her sentence, a fist flew from the smokescreen and managed to hit Sagiri.

"Sagiri!" Urara cried intending to go to Sagiri to heal her, but suddenly she felt an impact on her body which sent her blown away and made her faint.

The evil spirit then came out of the smoke revealing the wounded body. Sagiri tried to move but couldn't, figure out that some of her bones were broken.

The evil spirit walked towards Sagiri while letting out a pained groan. Knowing her destiny Sagiri could only surrender and closed her eyes while waiting for her death.

Time suddenly slowed down as she closed her eyes Sagiri remembered the good times she had in her training time with a certain boy who was staying at the same inn.

"Shinomiya Riyuo."

Instantly she heard something flying towards her. Sagiri kept her eyes closed but nothing happened. When she opened her eyes, she saw the evil spirit a few steps away while raising its claw.

The evil spirit remained standing frozen with something stuck in the middle of its head. Then the object suddenly expanded and turned into a dark spiked ball that suddenly exploded the evil spirit's head.

The evil spirit then turned to ashes and the object stuck in the evil spirit's head fell to the ground. When Sagiri saw that it was a ninjato, she looked around trying to find someone but couldn't find it.

She couldn't help but sigh because he can't find anyone, then she took the ninjato and approached her partner who had fainted.
