2 The Noise

I awaken confused. Am I dead, in a coma, is my body in shock, I find my answer when I look down. There I found that my shirt is torn, and I can easily see where my wound is. "Stitches," I say to my self reluctantly. "Are these stitches? But how?" I look around and see that not only has my wound been attended to, but I am somewhere new. This "somewhere" was clearly made by "something." "Is there someone else here? But more importantly, do I want to find out." I call out hesitantly, "hello?" My voice seeming mild and timid, I try to speak more firm, "hello?"

The wind begins to blow, and the leaves around me begin to tell a story. I feel the emotions of the woods as I call out, "hello, is anybody there? Please answer me." Then, all went silent. There was no wind, and no more story. I look over my shoulder to the bushes behind. There was a new noise, a noise not caused by the wind, but by something new.

My body frozen with fear, I stayed quite. I tried to tell myself it was just a rabbit. However, the figure I begun to see was much larger than a rabbit.
