2 Vampire

Korū was just about falling asleep in Math, Hikari prodding him every five seconds to keep him semi-conscious.

Alina seemed to be staring hard at her desk, which was interesting because there was absolutely nothing on it, in addition to the fact that her nose was just centimetres away from it.

Linda giggled slightly, knowing for a fact that she was asleep. The only reason that Linda was awake was that she found it highly entertaining to watch her new friends struggle in the boring class.

Even more interesting is that Mr Jenkins was totally oblivious to the fact that no one was even mentally present, with half of the class skipping.

One torturous hour later, the bell finally rang. Hikari dragged Korū out of his seat, the latter grumbling softly. "It's lunch, wake up!" she practically screeched into his ears.

Korū was two seconds from smacking his sister.

Alina automatically woke up, scaring Linda, who was taking an unglam, as she suddenly lifted her head and grabbed her stuff. Linda quickly shoved her phone into her pocket and gave Alina a cheeky smile when she was sent a weird look. They all headed to their lockers, which were fortunately close to each other, Korū grumbling something about how boring math was.

They walked to the cafeteria after that and queued up for their food when a girl bumped into them when she walked past, spilling the contents of her tray all over Hikari, who yelped in shock. "What the heck?" the brunette sneered. "What's wrong with you? Bumping into me, of all people. Who do you think you are?"

Instantly, Korū stepped in front of his twin, in full defense-mode. "Listen here, bitch. You were the one who bumped into us and it's your lunch that spilled onto my sister, so cut that crap."

Alina stepped forward to yank Korū backwards by the collar and away from the blonde while Linda stepped in front of them, trying to preserve the peace that was slipping right past her fingertips. "Cerys, we're so sorry-"

"No we're not." Linda glared at Korū before turning back to Cerys.

"Look, they just transferred here so give to some slack."

Cerys rolled her eyes. "Give them some slack? Do you know how much this costs? You ruined my shirt! You will pay for this!"

Alina appraised the girl. Long brown hair, light makeup, bitchy attitude.

"Sure we'll pay. I'll pay you by shoving it up your ass-!" Muffled sounds came from Korū's mouth as Hikari slapped her hand over it.

"Calm down Korū, I don't think you can shove it up her ass because something already crawled up and died there." Alina said, earning a glare from Linda.

"Your shirt is sparkling clean," Hikari hissed from behind Korū. "Why don't you pay for mine, asshole?"

Korū yanked Hikari's hand away from his mouth. "Yeah, fuck you."

Cerys scoffed and turned to the table that she was heading for. "Who's in the wrong, girls, me, or this nameless new girl?"

"That's non sequitur." Linda muttered, "Like this entire time-wasting conversation."

"Guess there are snobs everywhere, huh?" Korū growled, two seconds away from shifting and sending the table of girls screaming and running for their lives. "You alright, Hikari?"

"Yeah."

Alina rolled her eyes. "Let's go."

They walked to the table closest to the corner, ignoring the shouts from Cerys to stop. "I'm not done with you yet. Who do you think you are?"

Linda looked back. "That's the second time you've asked that. Who do you think you are?" The exasperation clear in her voice. Why was it possible to find a balance between peace and justice with such unreasonable people?

"I'm someone who everyone wants to be with," she responded cockily. "Unlike you."

"Are you kidding?" Hikari growled. "I can think of four people who definitely do not want you around, so go the fuck away."

"You! How dare you!"

Alina opened her mouth to speak but Linda shushed her, chuckling darkly, ensuring that Cerys could hear her. "You know she's not worth it."

Hikari merely flashed Cerys a grin, and flipped her off. "I'll go change," she said, and went off to retrieve her spare shirt that she had stuffed in her locker.

Finally, the four friends sat down to eat. "So," Linda said, impaling some potatoes on a fork. "We spent yesterday talking about admin-ish stuff. Now I need to tell you about the student hierarchy."

Alina chuckled, nodding towards Cerys. "Luna?"

"Kinda."

"So who's the Alpha?" Hikari asked.

"Which are the ones I need to beat the crap out of?" Korū growled at the same time.

Linda gave a tired smile. "Well, that's Cole. This school is basically a messed up and slightly corrupted werewolf pack. I'm sort of between a healer and omega, if that makes sense."

"Ah, so what does that make us?" Alina inquires.

"I'm not entirely sure. It depends on what the others think of you."

"Probably like the Psi or something, I guess." Hikari snickered. "But in Cerys' point of view we're all omegas, so it doesn't really matter, does it?"

"I mean, it depends. Someone has yet to challenge her for queen bee of the school." Linda said.

"Does anyone even bother? Who wants so much fame anyway?" Hikari snorted. "I mean, I might challenge her for the power, but if it comes with all those guys mooning over me, heck no. Besides," she gave Korū the side-eye, "Korū's gonna burn the school down if even one of those guys came close to me."

Korū folded his arms. "Because if no one keeps an eye on you, you'd be getting into all sorts of trouble." That was his way of saying "I care about my sis and no one's gonna stop me."

Linda and Alina burst out laughing at Korū. He curled his lip. "What the hell are y'all laughing about?"

When they calmed down, Alina said, "I wouldn't do it for the power, but fame won't be a problem, considering…" she trailed off. "Well, at any rate, it would be fun to see how much she's actually worth, before shoving her ass back where it belongs."

Before he could say any more, Hikari tugged on his sleeve. "C'mon, we gotta go. There's Jap right now and I wanna see how well this school teaches it."

They visited their lockers before Alina followed the twins, while Linda headed for Spanish. Entering the classroom, the three of them sat at the back, getting weird looks from all the students already present.

"Someone tell me what they're looking at." Hikari murmured. Alina gave her a small shrug.

Soon, the teacher walked in and started the lesson as the bell rang. Fifteen minutes later, however, the door opened and three guys entered the room. The teacher huffed on seeing them. "Glad you could make it, Cole." She said sarcastically, addressing the first guy.
