13 The Infamous Test: Redo*

*Next Day*

Suki could be seen laying down on top of a tree branch, except for one tiny detail that stood out about her laying position.

Her body was facing the ground.

She had decided to take the time it would take for Kakashi to arrive to get in some slight training. She is working on her chakra control once more.

Sure, she's mastered it, but doing this, she focused her chakra to her back, the back of her hands since they were behind her head, her palms to keep her head against her palms, her calves, the sides of her arms, and finally her heels to prevent any part of hers from hanging. This would help her chakra control a bit since most of the chakra points are found in the hands and feet. By focusing on places with less control, she would become better at controlling her chakra when there's not as much chakra to be found. And, overall, increase her control of her chakra even more.

The downsides to this type of technique is that it would take a lot of chakra over time if the user didn't have the amount of control needed similar to the water walking technique.

Luckily, Suki has chakra to spare. While she doesn't have as much as Naruto, compared to most, her chakra amount is on the level of a Tokubestu Jounin, a Chunin who possesses skills on a Jounin Level but lacks the experience a Jounin needed.

'I still want to use that purple fire. Unfortunately, the only time I have even seen it were two times. The first when Gai and I saw it, and the last being with Mizuki. The only problem is that I had no control of it with Mizuki. My chakra had been boosted by the fourth gate so much, that it appeared only by using so much chakra at once.' Suki thought. 'If I had used anymore chakra, my right hand would likely have had a second degree burn. I actually got lucky since the Flame Attack Jutsu sends the fire chakra outward instead of everywhere.'

"Where is he?" Naruto grumbled.

"I seriously hope that he doesn't make this a habit." Sasuke muttered.

"You can only hope." Suki muttered.

They have already been waiting for three hours, making the time about 11.

"Good morning!" Someone called out.

The three turned their heads towards the sound and saw Kakashi.

"You're late!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Sorry, I had to help an old lady cross the street. And when I started on my way here, I ran into a black cat. Seeing how that is bad luck, I decided to take the long way here, only to realize that I had forgotten something and had to head back." He explained.

Nobody said a word, in shock.

'That...is one heck of an excuse.' Suki thought.

He then placed an alarm clock on one of the three logs in front of them.

Suki cut her chakra flow and dropped down, landing in a crouch before standing back up and making her way over to them.

"I've set this clock to go off at noon." He then took out two silver bells. "I have these two bells. Your objective is to steal these from me before the alarm go off. Anyone who fails, won't get lunch. Instead, you'll be tied to these posts while I eat your lunch in front of you."

Two stomachs grumbled at that moment.

'I knew Naruto likely wouldn't have eaten, but I expected Sasuke to have had at least something. Not having breakfast just makes a ninja weaker the next day. However, I did only have a ninja bar.' She thought.

Ninja food bars are suppose to provide enough nutrients for the ninja to be able to fight at full capacity for the next six hours. However, it is not recommended to use this method for more than forty-eight hours.

There are also chakra pills that can restore a certain amount of chakra but it is not recommended to have more than six within a twenty-hour time span. The body is meant to only handle so much chakra and using chakra strains the chakra pathways based on how much chakra is used. That is the reason you don't see ninjas put almost all of their chakra into their attacks. Doing so can permanently damage your chakra pathways and can be compared to having limbs being pulled off.

By adding chakra to the pathways, the person is increasing the amount of stress the body can be put under.

"All you need is to get one of these bells, a piece. But since there's only two bells, at least one of you WILL be tied to the post. And whoever that is, will also be heading back to the academy." He dropped the bomb.

"You may use anything in this practice. Shuriken, jutsu, etc. Attack me as if you mean to kill me. That's the only way that you'll have a chance at getting a bell."

Kakashi looked at the three of them. "Prepare yourselves."

A few seconds later, "Begin!"

The three of them jumped away and into the forest.

"Hm, usually there's always one who wants to try and fight me alone at the beginning." He muttered.

*With the Trio*

Suki stopped and landed beside a tree.

She looked around, revealing she had activated her Sharingan.

"Noodles, fruit?" She called out softly.

Two people soon joined her.

"Yeah, we're here meat." Sasuke told.

Since the three of them used to train together, they [Naruto] decided to come up with identities without saying their actual names. There were several ideas before the three came to an agreement about their favorite food.

"What's the plan?" Naruto asked.

"Not fully made but I can tell you things to avoid." Suki started. "Obviously, do not try to fight him alone. Since I can't open my gates, my strength and speed won't be enough to get you out of his range unless he wants you out of range. If you get separated from us, try to seek us out with a passphrase."

"Why not our names?" Naruto asked.

"We will." Suki held a hand in front of her chest with her ring finger over her pinky, her middle finger over her index, and her thumb in between them. "Now, here's what I was thinking."

*With Kakashi*

He could be seen standing in the middle of the field, reading his book, Icha Icha Paradise.

Suddenly, kunai and shuriken flew out from the trees and headed towards him.

He substituted with a log and crouch on a tree branch.

'So the first person acts.' He thought.

"Get him!" A voice yelled.

He lazily looked around and saw several Narutos jumping towards him, each with a kunai. The ones in the front prepared to slash him while the ones further back prepared to throw them.

As he prepared to shunshin out of the way, he saw that the ones that were going to throw them, suddenly threw them in different directions, but close enough to form a shape similar to a net.

'So, he planned to have some attack me while having the ones in the back try to cut off my escape.'

He still used it to appear behind the group.

"Almost impressive. You actually came at me with a-" He started.

He suddenly crouched down as a foot appeared where he head used to be.

"Ha!" Suki yelled, twisting her body to do a spin, moving extremely quick.

He quickly brought his hand up to catch it, only to see two three tomoe sharingans staring at him.

He flared his chakra, an attempt to dispel any genjutsu he was under.

Doing so, he saw that Naruto, who looked to still be by the tree, was charging at him and Suki was throwing a punch at him.

Quickly letting go, he jumped backwards, only to feel wire being pushed against the back of his leg.

'It's a trap!'

At that moment, more kunai flung outward toward him.

He jumped into the air.

"Fire Style:" He heard two people yell.

He looked down and saw Suki looking towards him and in the corner of his eyes, he could just see Sasuke in some trees shadow.

"Fireball Jutsu!" They finished, both sending large fireballs towards him.

He threw out a kunai with ninja wire and pulled hard, pulling him towards the tree he threw it at.

As he landed, he saw Suki speeding towards him, her fists on fire.

He about started to form hand signs, only for several hands to latch onto him.

He expected them to be Naruto, only to see that they were Suki.

"Kaboom?" One of the clones asked.

He looked back and saw Suki had disappeared.

"Kaboom." Another clone told before they all started glowing.

He quickly used the substitution jutsu again, just barely escaping before the entire tree he landed on exploded with flames, catching that tree and nearby ones on fire.

'They actually are coming at me with the intent to kill.' He thought.

He had to stop and block a kick and lean out of the way of a punch.

He grabbed the hand and threw them into the person who punched, revealing them to be Sasuke and Naruto.

He quickly formed seals before finishing.

"Earth Style: Prison of Earth!"

A square of solid dirt surrounded the two. The dirt walls were as strong as concrete.

He had to jump to the side, just as a flaming fist slammed into the ground, causing a small explosion.

He prepared himself as Suki shot forward.

She threw punch after punch, kick after kick, but he would dodge her punches and deflect her kicks. He ducked under another punch before disappearing.

"Konoha's Secret Technique-"

"No!" She yelled, slamming both fist into the ground, causing a bigger explosion, sending him sliding backwards slightly.

He stopped and saw that she disappeared.

"A clone? So she knows that technique as well." He thought aloud.

He noticed earlier that she could make Fire Clones, clones that explode when dismissed. They take less chakra than a Shadow Clone, but they don't relay anything they learned or transfer chakra back to the user.

He heard something heading his way and looked, only to see a fist before it slammed into his face, sending him flying.

Suki rolled on the ground before getting back on her feet.

She jumped back into the woods.

He looked around before seeing several shapes shoot out from the woods at high speeds.

He quickly reacted to them, revealing the shapes to be Naruto and Suki and their clones.

'They must be using extra clones to have them throw them and their clones.' He concluded. They were using their clones to increase their momentum by flinging them with multiple clones to increase the force exerted.

More and more shapes were being thrown where Kakashi had to start hitting the ones that came close to get rid of the amount. They were starting to come from every direction.

As they were thrown again, the earth shifted under him, giving him but a moment to move before the ground exploded and Sasuke's hand came through, intending on grabbing the bells.

The clones that were thrown used each other to change one clone's direction and threw them straight at him.

Just as they almost collided with Kakashi, a sound rang through the area.

*RRRIIIIIIINNNNGGGG*

Kakashi let out a small sigh and dodged the clone who didn't try to hit him.

He quickly formed hand signs before putting out the nearby fires.

All the figures disappeared in poofs of smoke before the trio walked out from the woods.

"Maaaan, we were so close!" Naruto groaned.

"Hmm, to actually land a hit on a Jounin, I'm shocked." Sasuke commented.

"Wouldn't have been possible without Naruto's endless amount of clones." Suki spoke.

Kakashi looked at them.

'With that kind of teamwork, they likely could have beaten a new Jounin and most Chunin.' He thought.

"So, we failed, right?" Suki asked.

"You did fail to acquire the bells..." He lead on, watching their moods change. "However, you passed my test."

"Test?" Naruto asked.

"My test was to see if you three could put aside any differences to work together for a common goal, only for you three to apparently be able to already do that."

"So why did we continue?" Suki asked.

"That, was to see where everyone was in combat skill. You three are surprisingly skilled, maybe the most skilled of your class."

"No question there." Naruto started. "Suki and Teme are top of the class."

"Hey, Sasuke and I both know that you do better kinesthetically." She stated. "You do better doing whatever you're trying to learn instead of reading."

"Don't dismiss yourself. As a rival, that insults me." Sasuke commented.

"You three passed, making it official." Kakashi started. "From today on, you are part of Team 7. Meet back here in two days at 8 in the morning for our first mission."

"Yeah!" Naruto exclaimed.

While Suki nor Sasuke yelled out happiness, Suki had a smile and Sasuke and a smirk.

'These three, with the right teachings, will go far.' Kakashi thought. 'Maybe further than we did.'

With that, the new team left the field.

Suki had one last thought before leaving.

'Our first major step. From here on out, we are officially ninjas.'

I actually need to know this. Was this better? If so, then that may mean that I have trouble writing long chapters.

Anyways, with Team 7 being formed, the first chain has been formed. How will this chain be tested over time? Well, you'll just have to see.
