13 Home For The Holidays

The day after the ball Crimson quickly packed before breakfast so she could spend time with Cedric before they all left for break until the middle of March. She was in a pure state of bliss and nothing could make the smile on her face fade. Not even Cho Chang.

"I hope you're happy Valkenrie, just so you know Cedric is a pig in bed."

Cho Chang smirked at her but then dropped it when she saw that Crimson was still smiling.

"I could care less what you think of him. He saw you for who you truly are and its quite ugly. Enjoy your holiday."

Cho and the possy behind her stood there with their mouths hanging wide open. Crimson just turned and walked away still smiling. When she got to the hall there were very few people eating. Most people probably weren't even awake yet. Her eye latched onto a boy with wavy brown hair sitting at the Ravenclaw table surprisingly.

"Goodmorning Ced."

"Why good morning gorgeous, how'd you sleep."

"Actually really good which hasn't happened in a while. And you?"

"Like a baby. Now I have an important question to ask. Actually scratch that, I have two."

"I also have one but you go first."

"No ask yours since you only have one."

"Alright, well you know my family always holds a New Years party. You are invited every year of course but I was wondering if you would be my date this year?"

"Well Id have to think about it... alright Ive thought about it and my answer is yes."

"Brilliant now your questions."

"Of course first off, I was wondering if you formally would like to be my girlfriend?"

"Of course Cedric without a second thought."

"Okay brilliant, now second question I was wondering if you'd like to spend holiday with me until New Years?"

"Oh, well Id have to owl my parents first but Im sure there wouldn't be a problem."

"No need I already took the liberty of owling them for you and they said yes as long as I stay with you a while after New Years."

"Cedric! Thats bloody brilliant, this just made my day better than it already was."

"Fantastic, my father is excited to have you over. I need to finish packing and you need to go say goodbye to Viktor if Im not mistaken."

"Yes I do actually. I guess Ill catch up with you before the carriage ride."

"Yes love you will. See you soon."

Cedric gave Crimson a quick kiss on her forehead and left to finish packing. Crimson then took the chance to grab a quick bite before she bid her farewell to Viktor. She piled a few strips of bacon onto her plate as well as some pancakes with blueberry topping. She was content with her life except for the fact that she was still hiding a huge secret from mostly everyone she cared for. She knew that she would have to tell Cedric soon before he found out the hard way. Crimson knew that soon everyone would find out and the thought still made her nervous even tho she has talked to Dumbledore on multiple occasions she couldn't help but wonder if there was something he was hiding from her. She decided she needed to talk to him again before she left or she wouldn't have a chance until the beginning of the next term. Once she finished her breakfast she went through the corridors heading to Dumbledores office when she literally ran into Lucas.

"Lucas hi, its been a bit."

"Yes it has, Ive heard that you're doing quite well tho. Im actually surprised your speaking to me."

"In all honesty I forgot I was even supposed to mad at you. I did make sure my parents sent you an invitation to our yearly Ball."

"Thats kind of you but I don't think Im going to except this year. Im staying with my girlfriend for the holidays."

"Thats lovely who is she if you don't mind me asking?"

"Not at all, Cho Chang actually. Ive fancied her for a while but Diggory had his hooks in her. She said he was quite awful to her. I believe it he seems like a down right piece of rubbish if you ask me."

"Im going to be honest its Chang who is the piece of rubbish."

"How dare you speak about my girlfriend like that."

"And how dare you speak about my boyfriend like that. You see Chang always thought it was a competition between her and I over Cedric when she never really stood a chance. Maybe in the beginning she did but, thats only because Cedric could see her for who she truly is."

"Whatever you believe Crimson. I can't believe I even dated you let alone was friends with you. Cho was right you are a liar and a whore. First me then Viktor and now Diggory. You really are something. I best not see you anywhere near Cho or me OR my mother on that note or it will be war."

"One you will surely lose. Enjoy Chang messing up your life in every way possible. Don't come crawling back to me for pity because I won't give it. "

Lucas turned and stomped away probably off to find Cho. Crimson just continued to the headmasters door.

"Lemon Sherbert"

The Gryffindor turned itself and Crimson quickly walked up the stairs and to the office door. She knocked three times firmly on the door.

"Enter Ms. Gaunt."

Crimson softly opened the door and walked in to see the headmaster standing at a fountain looking distraught.

"How may I help you Ms. Gaunt."

"Sir I was wondering if you knew how this was all going to end. Will everyone find out about me?"

"Do you want honesty?"

"Of course sir."

"Then yes. I know more than you think. Just enjoy the time you get with everyone you love and it will all turn out the way it is meant to be."

"Sir?"

"Do not dwell on the future, live in the present and cherish every moment of it before it disappears. Do you understand?"

"Yes but professor, will I fulfill the prophecy?"

"I can't answer that or else the entire course will change and we must keep on the path we are walking, yes?"

"I understand sir. Thank you for your time and your guidance."

"Crimson also know I think you and Mr. Diggory are a wonderful couple. I expect wonderful moment from the two of you."

"Thank you again sir. I must be off."

"Happiest of Holidays to you."

"You as well sir, goodbye."

Crimson made her way down from the office and to the courtyard where everyone was saying goodbye to each other. She searched through the crowd and finally found Viktor talking to Cedric.

"Ah tere she is. Crimpson I almost tought you forgot me."

"Never Viktor. Have a great holiday we will see you soon for the final task."

"Yes indeed."

"Oh wait, I will send you an owl for my families New Years party that we have every year. I hope you will join us."

"I love to. May I bring my mother?"

"Of course the more the merrier. Also happy Christmas. I forgot after last nights events that today was even Christmas."

"Yes, happy Christmas. Well I better go before ship leaves."

Crimson gave Viktor a hug and waved him goodbye. She then turned to Cedric with a smile ready to spend the holidays and start a new year of love with him.

A few hours later Crimson and Cedric walked to the carriages hand in hand with their shrunken down trunks in their pockets. The carriage ride was quick and soon they were on their way to kings cross where they would meet up with Cedric father and apparatus to their home in the hills of London. She adored their cottage, it was simple and very homely. It was the exact opposite of her families mansion which was far to large for her tastes. She wondered what Cedric and her home would be like. She refused to have a mansion perhaps a victorian styled home would do better. Cedric broke her out of her thoughts by squeezing her hand.

"You alright love?"

"Yes, perfect why?"

"You look lost in thought."

"Oh yes I was actually."

"About?"

"Our future in all honesty. When we were married what our home would be like."

"I always wanted to live in a victorian styled home. Not to big not too small. One or two kids running around."

"That sounds perfect, like you read my mind."

"When would you want to get married if you don't mind me asking."

"Not at all, I know whenever you ask Ill say yes. When you ask the time will be right and we will continue or lives. Which I know for a fact every couple in England will be jealous of even Black and Chang whom are surprisingly together now."

"I figured when I saw them snagging each others faces off in the courtyard."

"That is disgusting. I never want to see that."

"I almost was sick from the sight but I have you so I don't care. Well be together all the time now."

"Starting with being home together for the holidays. I couldn't ask for more."

With that said Crimson leaned her head on Cedric shoulder and took a nap before they arrived at the station.
