6 Doubts and a Problem

Crimson sat alone in a compartment staring out the window watching the rain fall. This is her favorite type of weather yet she was no where near happy. After the events of last night she couldn't help but wonder if she really did make the right choice. She knew in the moment she did but, what was she going to do now? She didn't think Lucas wanted to be around her she hasn't heard from Cedric, Hermione or Draco for that fact. They usually send her a letter at least once during the summer and she hasn't gotten anything. The compartment door opened to reveal Harry Potter along with Ronald Weasley.

"Crimson Im sorry to bother but the rest of the train is full, do you mind if we sit with you?"

"Come right in Harry it nice to see you, and you as well Ronald"

She smiled at the two boys who returned the smile gratefully.

"So how were your summers?"

The boys looked at each other not knowing how to respond.

"Well considering we almost got killed it was pretty normal. The Irish won the Qudditch World Cup and death eaters attacked the camp soon after."

Harry stated that like it was normal life while Ron and Crimson stared at him with wide eyes.

"Bloody hell harry why are you so calm when you say it like that, Crimson it was traumatic experience, gave me bloody nightmares it did."

Crimson raised her eye brows and listened to the boys bicker back and forth on their experience.

"Uhm boys..."

"Ron it wasn't THAT bad, it could've been worse."

"Blimey Harry sometimes I wonder if you're sane or not."

"BOYS!"

The two boys turned to look at a perturbed Crimson.

"Finally, I was wondering if you've heard from Hermione, Draco or Cedric at all this summer?"

The boys looked at each other again afraid of entering this conversation. But, Ron answered her anyway.

"Uhm, yeah actually, they were with us all summer. Why?"

"I didn't receive a single letter from them and I was worried but, Im glad to know that they didn't die."

Crimson was fuming inside. Why would they all three ignore her, she hadn't done anything to make them mad had she?

"Do you guys know where any of them are?"

Ron went to answer but Harry stopped him

"Nope not at all, haven't seen a single one of them."

Crimson knew this was a lie so she did what she had to. Crimson drew her wand and pointed it at the fearful boys.

"Harry James Potter, tell me where they are. Now."

Crimson was calm but her voice was filled with venom causing the boys to answer quickly.

"The last compartment and Cho is with them."

That name made Crimson fume, she put her wand back into her robes and left the compartment slamming the door shut.

"Bloody hell that woman is brilliant but also terrifying."

"Ron... I was thinking the exact same thing."

Walking down the train Crimson mustered up all the courage possible so she could confront the three she called friends, when she felt the numbing sensation spread through her back.

"No no no no, not now, why now."

She rushed into the restroom and locked the door. Looking into the mirror she could see her wings peaking through under her cloak. Crimson closed her eyes and slowed her breathing imagining herself normal, opening her eyes she was pleasantly greeted with no wings. Suddenly the train came to a halt, looking at her watch she realized that they were at Hogwarts finally. She quickly went back to the compartment where she left Harry and Ron to find them still there, asleep. She shook the boys awake, while Harry was calm waking up Ron decided to swing on Crimson which resulted in a nice shiner around her right eye. The entire carriage ride to the castle Ron apologized. Crimson wanted to tear her hair out from annoyance. She quickly put her luggage and Ember with the rest of the Ravenclaw luggage and pets. Walking to the hall she made eye contact with Lucas who gave her a small smile and proceeded to the hall with an unfamiliar group of Slytherin boys.

Entering the hall Crimson took a seat at the Ravenclaw table and looked around. She loved the great hall like many students, it always amazed her how intricately everything was decorated. This year especially with the tournament the hall looked pristine. She felt someone sit next to her and frowned when she looked to see who it was.

"Crimson lovely to see you."

"Chang, I wish I could say the same."

"Oh come now is that anyway to speak to your best friends girlfriend."

Crimsons heart dropped but the anger inside her bubbled. There was no way Cedric would do that to her.

"Look at this gorgeous bracelet he got me over the summer."

There on her wrist hung a silver chain with a badger and raven charm as well as a happier and yellow gem she was unfamiliar with. Crimson recognized the bracelet tho, there was no way Cedric could afford that. That bracelet cost almost three-hundred galleons.

"Lovely."

"He really is a sweet heart, to bad he replaced you tho, anyway I wanted to say that I hope there aren't any hard feelings."

"Never"

Cho gave Crimson the fakest smile she has ever seen. Soon after Dumbledore made his yearly speech and introduced the school that would be staying and participating in the tournament. A ministry official then explained the goblet of fire and the rules surrounding it. Crimson felt drawn to the goblet, like it was calling out her name. After that the feast started and ended quickly. Heading up to the Ravenclaw dorm she saw Hermione and Cedric and Cho on the stair case below her, both Hermione and Cedric had their backs turned while Cho made eye contact and winked. Crimson quickly turned around and went to the portrait. She answered the riddle and went straight to her own private dorm that all sixth and seventh years had.

Crimson laid in bed staring at the ceiling replaying the events of today. She knew it wasn't going to be easy but she didn't think it was going to be like this. What would her mother do. Her mother, how was she? Were her parents safe? Where were they? Crimson rolled over and stuffed her face into the goose feather pillow and did what she's been dying to do. Scream. She screamed for a good five minutes. Rolling back over she felt much better but still awful. Crimson dreaded tomorrow. She needed to go see Dumbledore as soon as possible, with that she flicked her wand turning of all the lights and tried to sleep.
