2. Cannot Bear to Lose You

"This is my other daughter, Nelly." The lady then went inside and comes back out. "This is Nana." The photo looks exactly the same the one Ai has but there's a few differences between them which she can see.

After a few talk, Ai and Zhi Yuan left the town. Zhi Yuan takes over the driver seat. "...What's on your mind?" Ai sighs. "If Nana has passed away then why would Nelly pose as her dead sister? Just too many unanswered questions."

Ai let out another sigh as she leans against the seat. He peeks over and sees her furrowing her brows. He speaks up and said, "How's your body?" "Eh?" She tilts her head, confused. "I mean we had sex that night." Her face blushed. She looks away, "Change the topic." "Have you gone to the hospital?" "Zhi Yuan!" "What?" "Look, I'm not pregnant. Even if I am, it's not your business." She looks out the window, avoiding him. He sighs. (That's not what I meant. I just...I just don't want to see you overworked yourself that would harm you or our child.)

As they have reach Watanabe residence, he notice she's fallen asleep, so he gets out of the car and walks over to her side. He then quietly unbuckle the seatbelt and slowly carries her into his arms.

He close the door and takes her inside. Nana walks out and notice them. "Welcome back." Zhi Yuan puts a cold poker face on. "Where's her room?" "A-ah. Yes. Follow me." Nana escorts him to Ai's room.

She slides the door and before she could get into the room. Zhi Yuan dismisses her. Nana bows and left them alone. Nana tilts her head. (Who does he think he is?) She then heads to the garden. Nie Nie was near by and follows her behind. Nana then looks around and sees no one behind her.

Zhi Yuan was staying next to Ai. Someone appears in the room. He bows to Zhi Yuan. (Zhi Yuan: Who's He?) "My lady." Ai slowly opens her eyes. She sits up and notices him. "What is it?" "I apologize for disturbing." "It's alright." "She's in the garden with a man named Luca." (Luca..?)

Ai then remembers that name. Luca is the loyal subordinate under Darwin, her cousin. Darwin really hates Ai. Ai always on the top as he always in second place. Ai has never plan to be the next leader as Darwin's dream was to be the next leader. Sadly Grandfather choose Ai over Darwin which makes him angry.

"So it's really Darwin." Ai removes the blanket off of her. Zhi Yuan stands up and lend her a hand. She takes his hand and stands up. They head outside where Nelly and Luca were secretly meeting each other. Nelly was frantically looking for Luca. "Psst. Luca. Luca." Luca appears. "Nelly. Master said to hurry up and finish the job." "I apologize but she didn't drink the tea that I had deserve for her."

Luca sighs. "Master is getting impatient." "I'm sorry." "You should've pour in her food." "Ah I wasn't thinking." Luca shakes his head of how dumb Nelly is. A man was sitting on the wall, eavesdropping their whole conversation. "Oh dear, attempted murder?" Both of them startles and looks up. Nana gasped. "M-Master Haru." Haru looks behind her. "What should we do with them, my dear niece?"

Nana turns around and was shocked. "A-Ai!" Ai was standing behind her. "I-I..." "Nelly. The second daughter, who always get less attention from both parents." Nelly was shocked.

"H-How..." "I went to your hometown and found your mother." Nelly tries to find an excuse but couldn't. Ai said, "Old man. I will leave this matter to you." "Alright."

Ai turns around but suddenly feels dizzy. She collapsed as Zhi Yuan reflexively catch her. "Ai!" The same man that appears in Ai's room appears, he feels her pulse. His eyes widened. "She's been poison."

Zhi Yuan's eyes widened.He looks down at Ai who was knitting her brows as if she's totally in pain. (H-how is that possible?) He glares at Nelly and Luca. He said, "if anything happens to her, I will make your life hell." He lifts her into his arms and head back inside the house. Haru's face darkens as soon as he sees his beloved niece in pain. "Arrest them!" "Yes!" Men gathers surrounding Nelly and Luca. Nelly was confused. (Nelly: What is going on? How did she..no who poison her?)

She then remembers what Luca has said earlier. <You should've pour into her food.> She turns to Luca. "Y-you were here all this time?" Luca looks at her expressionless. "I had a feeling that you cannot fulfill Master's orders." Nelly couldn't believe it.

Luca was grabbed by his collar. Haru wasn't having it. "You dare poison my niece?!" "Ha. She already knew there's poison yet she still eats it." Haru was stunned by his sudden reply. He lets go Luca's collar. "Lock both of them in the dungeon. "Yes!"

Haru stood there disbelief. (She knew the food was poison? Why did she eat it? Ai...just what are you thinking?! I cannot bear to lose you too.)
