Chapter 4: Dumbledore

The feeling of commanding a magical force was amazing to me, a normal person in a world with no magic.

I told Tom that I don't know how I did that and it was a feeling. He hypothesized that I might've been a late bloomer, or I needed a shock to unleash my magic. He was still a bit conflicted about accepting it. But he was happy with the fact that he isn't alone in the magic world anymore!

We talked a lot and I asked him about our lives, what I told him was "I feel that I know all the stuff about myself and you and my life, but I can't remember anything." he said mind is a mysterious thing and many things can happen with a hit to head.

Then he self-proclaimed himself as my magical tutor and said he'll send a letter to Hogwarts for my situation.

Everything went smoothly. In less than an hour my wound was healed because of my 0.4 Health regeneration per minute. Tom said some magical people have fast regeneration powers and it can be done even without magic. And after launch, which during that I was informed by our caretaker that the kids that hurt me got their punishment and asked me if I see it fit. I didn't want more trouble and my time was far more precious to waste it on some kids. 'I'll take their souls in the future' I said to myself with a grin.

Tom sent the letter to Hogwarts with an owl and we spent our time talking about magic and he was teaching me his Wandless magic, which to his surprise, I leaned pretty fast.

Magic Ability – School of Arcane – Wandless Magick /Basic/ (1/10)

Ability to channel your magic without a medium.

Current level: most of your magic is wasted and with your lack of control it's more like accidental Magic.

'So Wandless magic is not in the school of wizardry? System, do you know how many schools of magic there is?'

{No host. To know all of them I need to be omniscient. But I know some. Aside from Wizardry and Arcane, we got Necro Arts, which contain Dark Arts. We have School of sorcery and Mystic Arts, School of Mind Arts, School of Voodoo, School of the damned, Angelic school, Demonic school, Celtics school, Asgardian School and so on.}

'Wow, so I got a lot to learn.'

{Yeah...}

'And to look at the timeline and the year I'm in (1940). I am in the middle of WWII! Capitan America (if he exists in this world) hasn't joined the army yet. In this year Schmidt will inject himself with the serum and becomes the Red Skull. He finds Tesseract in two years. And Capitan America will rise up in 3. Tom is in his Christmas holidays and hasn't yet gone dark. Maybe I can change that to my favor. I don't think I can have an influence in war, I am too weak.'

'And if I remember correctly in supernatural there were cults helping Hitler. I hope they don't join hands with Hydra. Things can get really bad if that happens.'

'I really don't want to change anything but I should do what I can to survive, first I need to hoard as much power as I can, so I change these events to better.'

That night a respond from Hogwarts came back that they've shown interest, with a P.S that said if it was a joke or anything, Tom will be punished.

Next day came and we were waiting for people from Hogwarts to come, and to my surprise Dumbledore himself came. Three of us went in my room. Tom and I were sitting on the bed, and Dumbledore was sitting on the only chair this room had. After the pleasantries he went to the point. The man was busy.

Dumbledore: "So you are Mr. Michael Green that Tom talked about? I think we exchanges some letters last year and you said that you don't have any signs of magic. How come you have it now?"

Michael "Yes sir. As Tom said in his letter it all happened yesterday. And I was thinking if I can join Hogwarts as a student."

Dumbledore "Can you demonstrate a sign? It is really unbelievable actually. We had no case like this."

I looked around and my eyes locked on the quill on my desk, the same quill that Tom wrote the letter to Hogwarts with, and I said "Tom showed me a trick to move objects with magic"

Tom was grinning proudly.

Magic Ability – School of Arcane – Magical Levitation /Basic/ (2/5)

I was working on this ability the moment I learned it from Tom for the whole night. And it seemed that I didn't have to sleep. I didn't know if this ability came from my mind, my demonic powers or the system, none the less it was a good boost in training speed.

I also leveled my Wandless magic to level 2 and also got a +1 MGC, which increased my control.

I levitated the quill with magic and then he took out his wand and chanted some spells. His spell forced me to let go of the quill. And then he chanted again.

[Magic Detection spell detected. Allow to proceed? Y/N]

'Yes'

Dumbledore then looks at me in the eyes and I saw a new message in my mind.

Mental Defense /Master/ [Level 2/10] [EXP 17%] (Passive)

Dumbledore was frowning at the results and said "Congratulations Mr. Green. It seems that you really are a Wizard and a natural Occlumens with powerful shield. But to attend Hogwarts there are still some difficulties."

I felt a bit of anger that he wanted to look into my mind, but I didn't say anything about it, instead I looked at him with a confused look and said "I thought your school had a fund for orphans! I can return the money with interest!"

Tom worriedly added "He can use my old books and we can share many things."

Dumbledore had a sad look on his face, but when he saw tom cares about someone else he smiled a bit. "The core of our magical government being led by a group of people who only care about blood purity. Some of them are ruthless to the point that they kill muggle-born people without batting an eye. If they see a 16 year old between 11 year olds, they'll investigate, and when the see a Muggle-Born who turned into a Wizard with a hit in the head, they will want to silence everything about you." He took of his glasses and massaged his eyes. "You see, they think because of the magical bloodline they have they are some kind of royalties. Yes sometimes they are more powerful but it's mostly because of their family secrets."

He puts his glasses back on. "You on the other hand are a wonder and you can easily destroy their idiotic mindset, but if you want to do anything or even do nothing and just fit in, you need magical knowledge that we can provide."

"Now there are some options, unorthodox ones, that we can take, but it needs a bit of acting, some secret keeping and maybe a contract."

I said "And what are these options?"

"You absolutely can't go as a student. So why not as a staff member?" Tom and I were both surprised by his suggestion.

I said "Like a janitor?"

Dumbledore "well I was thinking that we need a help in the library section of our school. you can be a foreign person that I invited to work as an assistant for book keeping. You can learn a lot from the books and I'll personally take your test. When you reach the end of seventh grade you can go to the ministry and take O.W.L and N.E.W.T. How about that? I can also arrange a monthly payment of 1 Galleons and 5 Sickles. Our teaching staff's income is around 15-20 Galleons and they are considered well paid. I assume you learned magical currency from Tom?" I nodded. He continued "We also take care of your food, and I should say that aside from magic, Hogwarts is also known for its feasts. And we give you a room in the castle. So, what do you say?"

"I love it professor Dumbledore! Thank you! Thank you!"

Dumbledore gave one of his famous smiles and said "Then gather your stuff. We are going shopping and then straight to the Hogwarts. You'll need a couple of days before students come back."

"Ok sir."

Tom asked "Can I come along sir? I only came back for the Christmas holiday just to see Michael, there are nothing for me to do here."

Dumbledore thought for a moment and said: "Okay. Go gather your stuff."

And with the 3 of us ready and packed, got out of the orphanage to go to Diagon Alley.
