16 Chapter 16: Master of Death

Don't blame me for not writing this chapter earlier.

Blame fallingstar with his/her "Marvel's Mutant Gamer" Story and blame LargeFarva for "Professor Dovahkiin", They wrote such good stories that got me by surprise, I had a difficult time unfan-boying myself so I could write. And also blame the government … cause why not?

Also I must mention something else before this chapter. As this is the Marvel universe, Christian god is not the one above all. He is a powerful being. I'll change supernatural lore to fit this story.

Chapter 16:

"Humanity forgets, denies the reality, and unless it's not happening for them, they don't give a rat's ass."

I drank my fire whisky and took a packet of Gillyweed cigarette out of my coat and lit one by a small flame that came out of my pinky. It is said that this cigarette is actually good for the lungs.

I was sitting in front of one of the most powerful wizards of the wizarding world. I said:

"I know that, what's your point?"

Grindlewald said,"This means that this community, which mostly produces bigots and hypocrites and stupid assholes, needs a firm hand to control and correct it, a hand that knows what needs to done, that changes it for better."

He stopped and I was annoyed by how he was taking his time even though we were in the heart of London where we would be under death spells if he was found out. Even though he had a hat and a silver human face mask, there were still a lot of ways to detect him.

"Enough of the bigger picture story. Get to the point."

"I've studied rituals and stumbled upon a coven where they talked about demons and their power. They say some of them make wishes happen. With cost of one's soul. And I've been hearing about miracles happening in the darker side of Diagon Alley, all related to one person, you. So Mr. Green, are you a demon?"

"That question sounds a bit funny. I don't call myself a demon. I'm just someone who can make wishes come true."

He smiled and said "What if I ask for immortality. Or complete immunity to all attacks."

"I can grant you immortality but I'll kill you in 10 years, and if you want a complete immunity, you won't be able to channel magic yourself."

He smirked and said "What if I had a complete army, ready to sell their souls to you for higher magical powers?"

I stopped smoking and looked him in the eyes and said: "I would say I can help you on that matter, but eventually you'll fail." I put out my Gillyweed cigarette and ask him, "But it will cost you a lot."

"How much? I seized a branch of Gringotts in Berlin. Monetary problems can be solved easily."

"It's not about the money. I want something valuable. I want your wand."

His eyes became crazy and angry for a moment.

I continued. "You are charmed by the wand and think it can help you. It should be destroyed. I am helping you here. And if you want a really long life it can also be granted. Absolute immortality is not possible but you can live at least for 500 years."

Still he didn't say anything and I continued "Do you believe in god, or gods Gellert?"

"No. I believe in magic."

"So let me introduce a mighty god of magic to you. The supreme god Grin, he is compassionate, merciful, with his guidance …"

He interrupted me with an angry tone. "I am not here to talk about some fairy tale boy. Change the price and let's make a fair deal."

"I need to show you something"

I moved my hand and a cup appeared on the table. After a second it started moving.

He said "A portkey? How can I know it's not a trap?"

I smiled and said "It is your chance to come in contact with a higher being. And I should tell you, with the path you are taking, you'll be defeated after 2 years in the hand of your dear friend, Albus."

"That's impossible. We have a contract."

"And he now has the anchor to that contract." His eyes were wide. "You think someone as brilliant as him cannot break this contract?"

The cup started to rattle on the table. At the last moment he put his hands on the cup and disappeared.

I called Tom (the waiter at the Leaky Cauldron) and put a galleon on the table, and then apparated out of there.

I appeared beside Grindelwald in one of my hideouts. It was a dark bunker and there was a shiny Altar at the middle of bunker and he was looking at curiously.

"This is one of his altars. The magic god Grin. By sacrificing bloods of your enemies, he can grant you power, youth and healing. It has no side effects as it is work of a higher being. You have studied the lore of Christian god, angels and demons. You must know that there are powers out there that you do not understand. You are holding a curse with you, and the grin god can help you destroy it. I'll not use it for myself, as if I wanted to do so, there would be a trap here for you to kill you and take the wand from your dead body. I just want to help you be free. He wants you to be free."

He was of course skeptical. I was an enigma to him. He knew I was something he didn't understand, something out of normal wizard standard. So he needed a miracle.

This hideout that I chose make a portkey to as a destination was one of my hideouts that had prisoners, ready to be sacrificed.

I moved my hands and a doorway appeared on the floor, which with another hand gesture, a half dead sacrifice came out of the door.

"Why don't you try it yourself?"

He used the altar as I told him to and gained a bit of youth and power.

He could feel it. And he was also a rune grandmaster, so by looking at the runes that shined in the middle of the sacrifice, he knew it was designed to send the soul of that person to some channel, which he didn't know the end, and also the energy that came to him from that channel was something that he felt like a warm hug, like the first time he wielded magic.

"This …"

He was surprised.

"This is called sacrificing to a god, and sharing a part of his power. Grin does not want anything from you. He always want to help and you can be one of his champions."

I took out a small book out of my pocket and gave it to him.

"This is how you can use the altar. You can share this with your closest allies, but don't give this power to anyone you don't trust."

He took the book from my hand. He didn't know what to say as it wasn't how he imagined our talk would go.

I gave him a parchment.

"This is a contract for your army. They'll gain an increased magic potency. Just ask them to pour their blood on this. And burn it after they are finished. They'll have the power for 10 years. Then their souls are mine, there is no running away."

I knew what would happen. He trusted his men too much. He wouldn't sign the parchment himself. He had the altar, he could gain a lot of power without dying in 10 years. So his army will gain too much power without him being able to catch up to their sheer power, and the chaos will start.

"But I'll need your wand to be destroyed. Or none of these will work for you."

He was a good man. He was someone who would choose the greater good above his personal goals.

"Will you agree to an unbreakable oath before we finish the transaction?"

"Of course."

He summoned his house-elf as the third party and we swore the oath about the quality of the altar and elder wand, and a part to prevent each party from stealing their items back.

He gave me his wand and his House-elf disappeared with the altar.

"Hope to see you soon Gellert."

He looked at the wand one last time and disappeared.

And finally you are mine.

I laughed.

'Wow … those effects ARE divine'

But maybe I thought this Death set would give me more? I should try to find more set items. Thor, your hammer is mine. The Berserker staff? mine. Infinity stones, I don't know if I can get any divinities from them, but if I can, of course mine! To get my death divinity ignited, maybe I should get the scythe of death from supernatural. Oh the horsemen rings ... I felt that I was drooling.

My plans were set to increase my power. Soon Howard and I would start SMILE and Tom would join us in a year. Gellert will also join us after his men start to betray him. Dr. Erskine already joined me, with a deal to bring back his family. (It wasn't that important so I didn't write those parts.)

Things looked like they were going great. So I just had to increase my knowledge so I could control all of this.
