CH:42 Forgotten Instincts

I place my hand on the wall to help me keep balance since my head erupted with a massive migraine. It feels like a barrier in my mind broke and a tsunami of nothing but primal rage comes rushing forth. My pupils turn to slits as each one of my senses gets taken over by my instincts.

With each sense that slips through my grasp, I lose control of my own body. Becoming nothing more then a passenger, watching the mayhem unfold like a movie. Looking through my eyes like they're nothing more than a window, my vision blurs and changes. All I can really see is the different shades of pure energy that resides within people, everything else looking like an old black and white TV show.

Through this change my body has tensed, digging my claws deep into the wall as a constant snarl starts to erupt between my bared fangs. At the moment I can't stop staring at Raph, who now just looks like a humanoid shape of greenish white light. 'Move! Please move! You can't die! Not here! Not now!' I scream this in my mind but my body doesn't even react.

As it slowly turns, I am almost blinded by the crowd of people. Practically everyone in the crowd has a red or orange glow to them but there are two greenish white lights and a very pale yellow amongst all the red. What is really shocking though is the one that is standing in the wrestling ring. This soul shines such a deep red it looks almost black.

As my body stares at this one particular soul, I feel the animalistic rage swell up again and my eyes and horns start to brightly glow purple. Illuminating the whole warehouse, painting everything in a ghoulish purple light.

The palm of my hand starts to itch like it's covered in a thousand fire ants and the constant growling and snarling starts to escalate. My mouth opens and an ear piercing roar erupts from within me. Shaking all the dust off the walls and ceiling.

My body takes a few steps forward but before it can make any headway, a couple red soles come rushing towards me from the crowd. I snarl at them like a wild beast before snatching my arm out, grabbing the throat of the one that's closest and squeezing it till the head pops off like a toy. Then tossing it to the side like it means nothing to me as the red glow of his energy fades away. Before anyone can react my claws lash out swiping at the throats of the other two that approached me, making them drop like rag dolls as they too fade to black like the first.

I'm watching all of this take place in horror. 'I know I can be pretty savage in a fight but it feels completely different when I'm not actually doing it... This is wrong...' Is all I can think as I'm watching the brutality take place. Not being able to do anything about it.

While everyone on the floor all takes a step back away from me the Deep Red Sole standing in the wrestling ring starts to laugh. At least I think he's laughing. I'm realizing now that all the sounds I'm hearing are incredibly muffled, almost muted.

As my body continues to glare at the walking land mass, the itch in my palm becomes almost unbearable. I slowly raise my hand pointing at that deep red soul and panic starts to fill me. I start struggling to try to get control of my body again, without even a budge. My instincts will not allow it.

A white ball of pure energy starts to form at the tips of my fingers. Once it's the size of a basketball, a beam of energy erupts forth from it. The force of the beam shoots me back into the wall behind me and I land on my ass between the two turtles. I barely missed the dark red sole, just vaporizing his arm off. The white powerful beam carries upwards through the ceiling then back down to the floor in a large arc before it finally stops as my energy reserves are almost empty.

While my instincts fade away and I start to gain control of my body again, although I can feel my grasp on my consciousness slip. But just before I fade into the darkness, I can finally start to hear Donny screaming my name beside me.
