6 Divination list
Davidson was not his usual self.
He was not calm.
He was not smiling.
Marcellus noticed Davidson's aura. He looked at the aura that surrounded Davidson. It was different than how it was back in Paris. This time it was erratic. It wasn't evenly spread. it was flowing all around, a complete mess just like Marcellus's when he tried to summon his aura to show Davidson.
"Something is wrong with the old man. Does he know them? why is he so infuriated?" Marcellus was flooding his mind with questions as he looked at both Davidson and the other men. They looked nervous but for some strange reason, they looked ready to fight even after witnessing Davidson's ferocious aura.
"You know about the dynasties?", the commander inquired.
"I believe I asked a question first," Davidson replied.
His aura intensity increased which caused vibrations in anything made of clay and glass in the room.
"I cannot answer that, The secret is worth more than any of our lives." The commander replied. he was telling the truth because he looked ready to die. The men were intimidated but they were not worried about their lives.
Marcellus was, as always standing there confused. He was not worried about Davidson, He had full confidence that these men posed no threat to him. But Davidson's sudden outburst was very unusual.
"Royal? Dynasties? what are they talking about." He wondered.
Janine was in the same situation but from the opposite side. She was very unsure about what was going to happen. There was not much she could do but it looked like a fight was going to break out for no reason at all. Marcellus noticed that she had the exact look on her face as himself. He smiled at her. No reaction.
"wow, that has not happened before." He did not have much experience being ignored by ladies.
Davidson looked at the commander shrewdly as if he was reading him. He took a deep breath. The rumbling and shaking stopped. Marcellus noticed Davidson's aura going back to normal.
"Look at me, Mr. Kim," Davidson demanded.
Kim could not help but comply.
"You are all related to Miss Ivanna, You are all on good terms with her."
Kim was confused, this was not a question. what was he doing? He felt as if it was some kind of trap. Kim was very well aware of all the powerful Gods and their followers all around the world. He had seen their potential. which was the reason he was confused. the man that stood before him was radiating a presence equal to one of the strongest Gods, yet the swords were identifying him as a follower.
"How have I never heard of this man? How did a man who possesses such aura never got discovered?" Kim was shaking as his heart could feel the vibrations.
"Miss Ivanna is related to the Dangun dynasty, perhaps a royal, and you all are her subjects." Davidson went on.
Marcellus was flooding with questions but he dared not speak because Davidson was staring bullets at the Commander. At Davidson's last statement, everyone in the room gasped except the two guests. The men looked at each other.
Kim looked at Davidson with puzzled eyes.
"What is this man doing?".
Davidson sighed and smiled. He was back to his usual self. The men were still pointing the swords at him not knowing what he was thinking. they looked at Kim to check if he had any orders but Kim was the most shocked and undecisive in the room at that moment.
"It was very essential for me to know Mr. Kim. rest assured you did not divulge the secret, I just took it from you."
Kim then realized that Davidson had already found out their secret. It was a secret they could not afford to let anyone know. But he also knew that This man could not be subdued by them. They could try all they want, fight till their death but they were still normal warriors up against such a terrifying force.
"For the time being, you can put your trust in me, we are on the same side," Davidson assured Kim finally holding his hands up in the air expressing that he bore no ill-intentions.
Kim decided to trust his instinct, He signaled his men to back down. They were still skeptical but they had to obey.
"Now, let me introduce myself, Mr. Kim, It was quite rude of me earlier." He extended his hand towards Kim.
"My name is Daniel Davidson, a follower of Miss Ivanna," He let out a friendly smile.
Kim and the rest of the men were shocked.
"Davidson?" Did you just say, Daniel Davidson?" Kim asked him, That explained it all, that's why he knew about the dynasties. Kim had heard of stories about the man who scared the supposed rulers of this world, notorious among the dynasties as the man who almost caused one of the most powerful Royal families from Britain to fall.
Davidson nodded. Janine and Marcellus were puzzled because they did not really understand the context of the conversation but everyone else in the room was tensed.
"You were supposed to have died, wait-," Kim was so shocked that he had not even fully processed what Davidson said earlier.
"follower? Did you say you are a follower?" Kim was sweating.
"Your name was very high up in the Divination list, How can you be a follower?"
"Divination what now?" Marcellus shouted, he was getting annoyed with all the conversation that was passing over his head.
"Mr. Davidson? could you spare a little explanation?" He complained with a very annoyed look on his face.
Davidson heartily laughed. The mood in the room lightened up because of that.
"Pardon me for ruining your good day young Marcellus." he smiled at him and then looked at Kim.
"You see he was quite excited when he found out that Miss Ivanna was our goddess, I got all worked up and ruined it for him."
Kim was both relieved and surprised to see this side of Davidson. But he had a lot of questions.
"Miss Ivanna has not even awakened yet, It's impossible for you to be her follower," Kim said after giving it a lot of thought.
"No, I definitely tracked our god's location to this place. there is no other person with such potential in this area, it only makes sense that it's her."
Davidson thought for a moment, Kim said that she had not awakened yet so in theory, it made sense because Gods always awaken before the followers.
"where is she now?" Davidson asked.
Kim and the other men exchanged glances. Marcellus looked at them excitedly because finally, they were talking about Ivanna. But Marcellus and Davidson noticed the look upon their faces change.
"She was abducted a week ago," Kim said facing the ground in guilt.
"What?" Marcellus exploded.
"Jordan McCoy." Kim showed frustration on his face when he said that name,
"His followers abducted her last week."
"Do you know the reason why they took her?" Davidson leaned forward.
"Or let me rephrase that question, Did they abduct Ivanna The world-renowned singer or Ivanna from the Dangun dynasty?"
Kim sighed.
"Could you answer my question first?" Kim looked at Davidson with eyes of desperation.
"How much do you know about the Dangun dynasty? and how did you deduce our ties with Miss Ivanna earlier?"
Davidson decided that it would be wise to let them have the answers to lay the foundation of trust between them.
"Well then," He smiled at Janine.
"Since we are going to be talking a lot, do you have some tea in the house miss manager?"
Janine finally calmed down as things seemed fine now. She nodded and headed towards the kitchen.
"young Marcellus, take a seat, you will want to know about this."
Marcellus sat on the chair next to him. The other men eased their posture and lined up behind Kim.
"As you have heard. I'm not very fond of royal families and neither they are of me, specifically the western ones. I have heard of the Dangun family as it is one of the major eastern dynasties. Also, I was at the royal gathering 20 years ago," He looked at the roof as he went down memory lane.
"I saw the engravings on the swords of the guards that attended the gathering with the royal family at that time, I have quite impressive memory so I was able to recognize the similar characters on your sword. And Mr. Kim you have a sword with the Golden hilt. That can only be wielded by the general of the highest rank serving the family,"
Kim was surprised that he even noticed the sword. Davidson was right. Kim was serving as the general for the Dangun family.
"At first I was not sure what your business here was, someone of your position should only have the duty to be guarding the king or the heir to the throne. I even thought that Miss Ivanna could be an heir, but I was skeptical about that because her facial features do not seem like someone of Asian heredity."
"Mr. Davidson" Marcellus Interrupted. he was still uninformed of the actual context. He was expecting Davidson to answer to his curiosity first but Davidson had forgotten that Marcellus did not even know about the royals.
"Oh right, my mistake," Davidson simpered.
"You see there are certain powerful families that are the descendants of the most powerful ruling dynasties throughout history. There are about a hundred royal families like these that the whole world has no idea about."
"The Illuminati?" Marcellus quickly answered like a child who was promised chocolate as a reward for answering the question right.
Davidson laughed.
Even Janine, who was coming towards them with three cups of tea could not help but smile. In general everyone in the room was amused by Marcellus.
"Yeah I did not go to school," Marcellus looked away from the smiling faces.
"Almost Young Marcellus," Davidson smiled as he took the tea from Janine.
"Anyway, in short, there are a powerful group of people that the world does not know about, but they know everything about the world and in the part of the world where they live, they are untouchable with a vast amount of wealth and resources. They control politics, they control finance- they do as they like and common people have no idea about it,"
"Not all families are like that Mr. Davidson, honestly I'm quite offended. please do not feed the wrong information to a young one." Kim said with a bit of anger in his voice.
"I'm merely speaking from my experience Mr. Kim, truthfully I did not have a very good impression of The Dangun family at the gathering," Davidson replied.
The tension in the room rose again.
"Come on didn't we just become friends?" Marcellus sighed.
"You do not know the full truth, Mr. Davidson. there were some unfortunate times for our dynasty but the Dangun family has never been anything close to the tyrants that you speak of."
"ok so why do you hate them and why do they hate you?" Marcellus asked as he sipped his tea but it was hotter than he expected so he spilled a little. Again that served to lighten the mood.
Davidson's face turned grim. Kim noticed, Kim vaguely knew about Davidson's history as that had caused a huge turmoil among the dynasties in the entire world.
"Some other time young Marcellus." Davidson smiled but there was a bit of pain in that smile.
"Now let me get back to Mr. Kim," Davidson was in rush to have his own questions answered.
"wait," Marcellus quickly gulped the tea he just sipped.
"what about that list Mr. Kim talked about?" He looked at Kim.
"Divine, divna-" He gave up after the first two tries.
"The divination list." Kim helped him complete the word.
"Yeah, that. what a corny name, who comes up with these?"
"It's a list of people that the royals made before the awakening. A list of people that they predicted would end up awakening as gods." Kim decided to tell him because Davidson already seemed to know everything about it so there was no harm in telling the boy what he wanted to know because he would hear it from Davidson sooner or later.
That shocked Marcellus.
"People knew about this before it happened?"
"Yes, The royals knew. The information about the awakening has been passed down in these families for centuries. although nobody knew the exact date, the fact that awakening will happen was known and the royals have been awaiting it eagerly." Kim answered him responsibly.
"Waiting for what? and how do they even predict the names of gods?"
"We do not know, only the upper echelon of major families know the full secrets about the awakening. But since the last twelve decades, the divination list has been made and every decade they updated the names of the top hundred people who would awaken as the Gods when the awakening would finally come"
"So you are saying that Mr. Davidson is on that list?" Marcellus looked at Davidson and blinked several times.
"If he really is The Daniel Davidson that I have heard of then according to the divination list twenty years ago He should have been one of the twenty powerful Gods. But in the list that was updated 10 years ago, his name was removed after being announced dead."
"Woah, but he is alive and a follower so that list seems like crap doesn't it?" Marcellus laughed.
"Not really, out of 100 names from the most recent divination list 96 people really awakened as Gods, and the listing order was based on their potential. if we compare the gods in the exact order it makes sense. it all matches almost perfectly" Kim remembered how shocked he was when he found out the list did almost perfectly predict the awakening.
"I have seen the list from ten years ago Mr. Kim and there is something about a certain name that is bothering me now that I have met you here." Davidson rubbed his chin as he cycled through his thoughts.
"There is a name on the top five of the divination list, Jeo yoo-Nah."
This alerted all the people in the room except Marcellus. Kim took a deep breath as he watched Davidson open his mouth to ask a question that he already knew was coming.
"Isn't Jeo the surname for the main family of the Dangun dynasty?"
