Cam an avid gamer was trapped inside a Virtual Reality game called 'Titan Slayers' due to some freak malfunction. Finally, after so many years of struggles, he gets to return to reality... Only, something is very different about him.
Roark City, a place with approximately a population of 25,000, was bustling underneath the crimson sky that spread above it like an umbrella. Truly a ominous, yet beautiful sky that signified the day's end, but this day would be the return of one individual...
Within a small apartment in the city, the dim glow of crimson shined through it's window onto a young man no older than 18 years old. The boy laid on a bed with a special helmet covering head and face. From the back of the helmet, various chords extended out connecting to a nearby computer.
BZZZZZTTTTT BOOOOOOOOOM
The computer, the chords, and the helmet all malfunctioned, showing sparks, before finally exploding after being exposed to the sudden mysterious influx of voltage.
The young man whom was wearing the helmet suddenly jolted up while screaming, "FXCK, OW OW OW, THAT HURTS!"
Falling onto the floor from his bed, he quickly regained his senses as swung his head side-to-side looking around him as if he was lost.
"UGH, where am I?! Wasn't I just falling from the sky?!"
At first, confusion and caution came from the man as his eyes kept scanning around. All around was trash littered in every corner of this small space, but to him this was definitely familiar! His eyes started to feel hot after realizing where he was, tears started to pour out of his eyes like a torrential river.
"I-I can't beliebe i-it... I'b finally b-b-back... 64 years in that god forsaken pl-place."
This young man, Cam, jumbled his words in emotion as he hugged the trash covered floor, rubbing his cheeks on it. After a few minutes of crying, Cam started to breathe in and out slowly while collecting his thoughts.
"I never thought I'd actually return from that damnable place. Who would've thought after I bought that Virtual Reality equipment for the new 'Titan Slayers' open world game, some malfunction would occur... trapping me inside there."
When Cam realized he was trapped inside the 'Titan Slayer's' world, it quickly became apparent actual death was a very real possibility. With such a situation, the only clue he had to leaving was a mechanical voice telling him to slay King of the Titans, which he finally did... after 64 years.
Through many struggles, fire and blood, he managed to get back home, an achievement he once thought impossible. Breathing in the same trashy air of the familiar apartment he was filled with unending happiness.
"Phew... I wonder how much time has passed? Surely, it's been quite while?"
Cam stood up, walking towards the computer nearby attempting to turn it on, but it wouldn't respond. Muttering "tch" under his breath, he rummaged through all the trash to find anything that could tell him the date and time.
"Ah, my phone! Hopefully it still works.."
After rummaging for a moment, he finally found his cell phone trapped between the bed and wall. Holding in his left hand, he used his right finger to poke the screen only for it not to respond accordingly.
"Damn... I really forgot how to use my cell phone , haha..."
Defeated laughter leaked from Cam's mouth as he fiddled with the phone until finally pressing a button slightly protruding from its side. As the screen lit up and reflected in his eyes, Cam immediately frowned.
"That can't be? I was in that world for 64 years, so how could it be the same day I left? The day I bought this dreaded game?!"
Confusion showed on his face as he lightly tapped the helmet with his finger. After repeatedly tapping the helmet, it shattered into many pieces.
"Ugh, what the HELL IS GOING ON?"
Cam's confusion level went over the max as he covered his face with both his hands while groaning. In the midst of this, he finally noticed something else that should've been apparent from the get-go.
"Wait wait wait, my hands still look... young? That can't..be?"
He immediately went to the bathroom where he remembered a small mirror being above the sink.
Standing in front of the mirror, a young adult man about 6''2 stood with piercing orange eyes, short black hair, and an extremely fit body. His overall features made him very sharp and exotic looking, but there was only one problem...
"W-why do I look like myself from Titan Slayers...? Before I went in, I vividly remember being far shorter and chubbier?"
Surprise after surprise came after these first short moments for Cam as he hopelessly slumped over the sink in confusion.
"It's not like this appearance is bad as I am to used to it already... and I never left this apartment in 4 straight years."
All the confusion was thrown to the back of his mind as more positive outlooks took over.
"Hehehehe, since I am really back, there's so many things I'm going to do! No more shutting myself in, I'm going to school, uh-huh, I'll start with that..."
Cam laid down on his bed, thinking about this fresh start as he closed his eyes excited for the future.
