2 I have an ability

Chapter 2: I have an ability

A few days passed in the white forest.

While the snowstorm seemed to be unstoppable, the same couldn't be applied to the human within the mountain.

He built a wall out of wolves' dead bodies that were naturally frozen by the environment and blocked the sudden flow of cold air to his cave.

Vis was a human from Earth and lived in a civilized world. He has never skinned anything and no tools were available at his disposal, so the bodies of his prey stayed intact.

He had just arranged those to the best of his ability and made a bed and wall for himself.

Then, Vis just spent time relying on his resilience and strong will to survive.

"I have an ability. There is no mistaking it." Vis was born as a human on Earth. His mother raised him alone since his father was scared of the responsibility. His mother was also young when she gave birth and left alone she naturally struggled to provide proper living conditions to her son.

Embraced by poverty, Vis spent his childhood constantly fighting with his peers and his environment was worse than one could imagine. The school delinquents were nothing compared to what he had done.

He used to steal not only from his classmates but also from markets and shops, then even followed some other scum to plunder older people's houses. Everything was done so that he and his mother could live a little better.

And he gained the strength to have a mind of his own and take down everyone who dared to trash talk him and his mother.

But Vis changed when he had begun to mature. At the age of sixteen, he decided to focus heavily on the studies and properly got rid of his past. He got a normal job and slowly climbed the ladder throughout the years.

He got to the point where his mother could live comfortably. The thought of starting his own family had been also on his mind since his income was high… But then he transmigrated and all his hard work went to shit.

"..."

What was his purpose here? Why did he suddenly transmigrate to this man's body? Was it to begin a new life? But why? He had worked so hard in his previous one!

Though he had many questions, Vis focused of the present.

He didn't want to live by killing and eating raw meat, "I will make this Titan Bloodline my own. This shit is so big I will break it and totally own it… Then, no one will dare to play with my soul and body anymore."

With resolution filling his eyes, Vis raised his body, "How did I do it?" His mind returned slightly to the past. He reminisced about this body's memories, but unconsciously tore through the thin fur and savored the blood.

It couldn't be done without an ability since Vis' bloodline was thin and impure! His body was not strong at all and usage of ability was required for such a feat.

The Titan God's bloodline was still flowing within him as the resilience had been really great recently. It was also probably because of the raw meat, but Vis had been healing so nicely he often smirked and forgot about his small height.

One of the goals was to get the ability, but Vis also had been yearning for flame and clothes. His shaggy clothes were stolen from the servant as Vis just wanted to hide his identity while running away.

Those clothes were torn in many places and couldn't be used as clothing anymore.

"I should just heal first." The battles had been easier since Vis learned about their patterns and his body could exert more strength since coldness was not a problem anymore! His resilience was also a great virtue.

-

Vis could properly stand after two weeks.

He was just a man with scars now, but even those were bound to heal later on. What mattered the most was that he had been feeling healthy and strong, so he could take proper steps in this new world.

A small yearning for the previous life was still within his heart, but nothing could be done about that. He just treated it as valuable memory and moved on.

The cave was not that big, but it had another end leading somewhere too. No coldness was coming from there, so Vis didn't build any wall around it. He also couldn't afford much attention there!

He decided to explore the cave while believing that there had been some purpose left by the previous owner's destiny.

His own was to overcome any obstacle, so this other side might be the second serious challenge in this world.

Not having an ability was still an issue, but Vis' believed in his fists as well.

He put the fattest dead wolf's body on his shoulder, then stepped forward to explore the fantasy world.

The wolf's legs were leaving trails on the ground as Vis was a small man…

After passing the other end, Vis just kept seeing darkness spreading itself before him. Nothing seemed to be important or unique, his expectations somewhat betrayed.

The darkness also could be the reason, but Vis always carefully took steps on his path and held the wall attentively.

His eyes suddenly narrowed, then widened a little as the blue light could be seen far away from his current location. It was faintly flickering and doing its best to gather his attention. Following this light, Vis slowly headed forward while not letting the mystery charm him.

His steps were the same just like a few seconds ago.

"Blue lake?" A blue lake unveiled itself below Vis whose location quickly took a turn. He happened to be above the lake and a small hole that probably matched his size was made in the underground's lake's ceiling.

Using this hole, Vis peeked into the new environment, but he found nothing other than the blue lake's mirror-like water and frozen particles which seemed to dance around it. He decided that this lake might be a good source to awaken his strength, so he returned to his cave and began to pull out tails from the wolves with an intent to make a rope.

A lot of wolves might be needed for that, "I need something to change this body's destiny. Work hard, laugh last."
