Reunited with an asshole

2 years pass by.

This whole time I've been extremely busy.

Thanks to my superpowered constitution, that doesn't require me to sleep, or eat I've gotten so much work done that it's insane.

Not only am I running the country, being involved in politics, both internal and international. I'm also working on multiple projects simultaneously. In addition to that, I'm also completing various daily tasks, that differ based on circumstances. And I'm actively training people as a hobbie. Mostly some knights that are loyal to the country and my disciple Esdeath.

"Naive!" I yell out, as I punch Esdeath in the stomach, sending her flying into a wall. She quickly crawls out of it, just in time to dodge the sword heading for her neck.

*Smack* However she didn't dodge the backhanded slap, that I gave her. Sending her flying again...

This scene has been repeating itself for an hour now. Everytime I spar with her, I basically beat her up and guide her at the same time. I've been doing this for years, but she hasn't been able to land a single blow on me yet. Though that's to be expected.

Even though that's the case, the girl is evolving at crazy speeds, when compared to others.

"That's enough for today." I announce and sheathe my sword.

When she hears me, she plops back down in exhaustion, panting.

"Thank you master!" She yells out, in between breaths.

It's amazing that the girl hasn't lost motivation yet. Even though she gets beat up like a dog every time, she still comes back again and again. It's to the point that I suspect her being an M. Actually based on the glazed look in her eyes, she probably is...

I walk over to the girl and grab her by the cuff of the neck. Then teleport into my room, in the palace.

As soon as I appear there, a maid walks in and bows.

"Get her cleaned up and then she will join me in the audience hall." I tell the maid and throw the limp Esdeath to her like an object. Then walk out of the room.

It's not as if Esdeath is unconsious or unable to move herself. It's just that she's so used to me manhandling her like some sort of kitten, that she allows me to do whatever I want, without resistance.

I head to the audience hall and sit down on the throne, giving out commands and discussing some things with the ministers.

I'm wearing a dress that has become a trademark for me at this point.

It's a dark purple dress, with golden lining, that covers my torso, neck and arms. Exposing my shoulders, armpits and some bust. There is also a black metal guard just under my bust.

The bottom half is a short skirt, reaching to the middle of my thighs. Over it is a longer skirt, that leaves my front open and is attached to my hips, with a black metal guard. I also have black, metal, thigh high boots on.

As I conduct my business, soon the people I'm waiting arrive.

"Yo." A blond man walks in and waves at me, with his hands in his pockets. Though calling him a man feels wrong, as he looks more like a young boy. With messy blonde hair and green eyes.

Alongside him walks a young woman with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears a black snow coat with a skull pin over a white shirt and tie. Her appearance gives off the vibe of a high school delinquent.

And finally, slightly trailing them is Piscalat. A young woman with long light blonde hair, that straightens to her lower knees. She has a tall, slim yet curvaceous body, posessing a plump, jiggly bust and a surprisingly round, fat bottom, emphasized when wearing her tight jeans. She has bright blue eyes, with a stern expression. She is wearing a red top, that leaves her arms and shoulder bare, with blue jeans and black boots.

"I've brought them, Artoria." Piscalat calls out to me. Causing me to halt my activities and look at the three.

"Long time no see you two." I say.

"Why did you call me here?" Carrera immediately asks, looking annoyed. Her callousness is enough to almost leave me speechless. Is this the way you greet someone you haven't seen in over 40 years?!

"Well she must have a reason. We were sitting on our asses anyway." Meliodas retorts.

"Tch. *Bang* Don't say unnecessary things." Carrera criticises him and hits him on the head.

"Settle down you child. You're making me almost regret calling you here..." I drawl out. My sonorous voice echoes in the hall.

"Tch. Who are you calling a child?! He's a child." Carrera angrily shouts at me and points at Meliodas.

Meliodas gazes at her from the side, with an impassive look. "You're in the same league as me." He says, basically calling Carrera short.

"I'm not in the same league!! I'm higher! HIGHER!!!" Carrera proceeds to choke him and shake him, while reiterating her words. looks like she is in a grumpy mood today. Meliodas looks completely unbothered. He is suprisingly casual about these things... Well, everything really.

"It's this bitch that's freakishly tall." Carrera suddenly points at me, sitting on the throne with my chin on my hand.

As always Carrera is a fucking menace. The height thing is completely ridiculous as well. I'm pretty sure demons can change their forms, so can't she just make herself taller if it bothers her?

The ministers in the room look at her with shell-shocked faces, their eyes wide as saucers. As if someone just took off his clothes, laid on his back and started pissing in his mouth.

They have no idea who those two are and hearing the way Carrera is talking to me is crazy to them.

"Carrera, you debilitated mongrel. I haven't seen you in over 40 years, but you don't even say hello to me." I say and stand up, then start walking down the stairs. "I don't have time to mess around with you. So shut up for now and listen."

Just as I reach the trio, Esdeath walks in the room.

"Great, now everyone is here." I say. Then teleport the 5 of us away.

We reappear in an isolated place, where there is seemingly nothing other than a rocky plain, with sparse vegetation and a few hills.

"So why are we here?" Carrera asks with a slight frown.

I tap on a random rock with my foot and a magic circle lights up. Then a big, mechanical trap door opens.

"There is a certain, secret project I require your assistance with." I speak and start walking down the stairs.

We walk down about a hundred meters of stairs and reach a bright, white hallway. As we walk through the maze-like corridors, my entourage looks around. The whole facility seems to scream: We're doing a big, secret experiment here!

We soon reach a room, where a small group of people, dressed in white robes, are waiting.

"Welcome, your majesty." They greet me in sync and kneel. They're not robots though. Just saying...

"At ease." I tell them and enter the room, along with the 4 trailing me.

"Is everything set up?" I ask.

"Yes, your majesty. The experiment has already begun. We currently have 400 children and we've begun training them." An old man, with a thick, gray mustache, wearing the same white robes answers. He's kind of like the team leader of these people.

"Mm." I nod, while crossing my arms and looking at the screens.

There are dozens of screens on the wall, magically projecting different rooms, where children are training in combat, or doing mental tasks.

This room is the control room of the facility. Still it's the control room of only one part of it. In this very facility, there are two divisions.

One division handles the experiment I call the breeder project. Which is a time extensive project where we train children and have the most talented ones breed with eachother. Repeating this generation, after generation. I'm practically selective breeding humans here.

Another part of the facility houses rescearces and scientist, working on inventing things and bringing technology forwards.

"What is all this?" Carrera asks, when she walks beside me and gazes at the screens.

"This place houses an experiment, where I have selected a bunch of talented kids. Those kids will be trained both mentally and physically, until they reach a high level of power. Then the most talented and powerful will be bred, ushering a new generation and repeating the process." I give a short explenation.

"As always, you think of the most fucked up shit... So?.." Carrera comments.

"Why I brought you here is to help train the ones that show the most potential." I look at Carrera and then the others.

"What is the point of this?" Carrera asks with a frown.

"Hmm, I suppose it makes sense that you don't understand, as the concept of selective breeding is foreign to you." I give a neutral explenation, but Carrera still makes a face, as she doesn't like people pointing out whenever she doesn't know something.

"Just imagine the strongest of the strong, breeding generation after generation. What do you think would happen?" I ask.

"Oh..." It seems to finally dawn to Carrera.

"Still. I don't know if it works. I'll give it a thousand years and see then." I say, then walk away from the screens.

"Let's go meet the kids." I tell them and lead them deeper into the facility.
