39 Tomlin Vs Jolin's Team

That afternoon they reserved and paid a price to the town mayor to use the training arena all for themselves after one of the instructors came back with news.

The news were that they found no traces of the mysterious group. They seemed to at least not be in the area anymore. His full team was still checking the forest for clues. He mentioned that they were unlucky to meet these people who were actually secretly going through the forest.

He instructed them to use this time to train the control since they would be fighting against each other's team. They could only use either one body part to fight with or one skill or technique etc. They all agreed since that would be more interesting and helpful.

The instructor left to get more information and would be back in to check up on them.

Liam decided to use sticks instead of knives to hit people. Other used paint as markings to show they hit their target. Some said they would only use one finger. Grace would train her evasion skills and spit at them; most weren't happy with this.

They decided to add one person at a time to get them used to these new rules that made it harder but more interesting. They couldn't really beat each other up because the instructor had come and warmed them earlier.

Both stormy/James/Tomlin and Jolin/mark had marked certain body parts that if they were touched or hit, would count as points.

Jolin and stormy went first and were using their fists. Stormy chose his armpits as target, and Jolin his left abdominal area. This was not about strength but about who could be faster and more accurate while deflecting each other's faints and attempts. James joined in and mark as well. Mark decided to copy Jolin but chose his right abdominal area instead. James chose his right thigh.

As the battle progressed with no one winning, it became increasingly harder since at times when one thought they were the target, they would switch to the other person who was already deflecting the other person attack. They were learning how to be aware of their opponents fights with their partners.

Soon Navenia and Natalia joined in. They were lost at first because both were primary medics so they decided to keep an eye out for sneak attacks and jump in when needed. Grace and Tomlin joined in after.

As grace was jumping, rolling, and going around them, she managed to get behind Stormy and spat towards Natalia who wasn't able to evade. Thankfully Natalia had chose her palm as a mark. She disgustingly cleaned herself as she rapidly moved behind Tomlin for protection. Grace only smirked and was satisfied with herself. Natalia just glared at her, and took out sticks from her waste and started launching them at her so she would go away. Grace wanted to start practicing her sneak attacks so she signaled Jolin that she would sneak attack stormy. Before they could start getting more serious something else happened

Liam and mal as well as Birdin and Elena still needed to go in when they all stood up in alert. The first one to react first were Mal and Liam. Liam jumped in first and told their comrades to stop the fighting. They all stood still and listened in alertness.

James: " are you kidding me Liam? Is this some kind of trick?"

Birdin: " No James, I believe him, there is something off.."

As soon as Birdin finished his sentences a couple shadows approached their area.

Mal: "Fuuuuuuuu.. enemies!"

Everyone gathered together with their own teams. They had not yet learned how to fight alongside other teams but at least they knew the skills of some of the other teams' people.

Seven people approached them rapidly. At the same time the leader of the group stopped his group 40 meters away. He was wearing a purple cape.

Purple cape: " At first we thought you guys were extremely unlucky, but I got a report from a certain someone of special abilities that at least one of you posses. Now you might not know the importance of this but it's threatening to us and we want to destroy you guys before you cause us trouble in the future. So maybe we were just lucky and you really unlucky. Also prepare to die!"

At that instant all of them started moving towards them but then the leader ran backwards to meet someone. They caught a glimpse of their instructor running towards them to meet purple cape. At least now they wouldn't have to face the strongest of that group. The instructor shot up a signal flare as he started engaging the person. Each team decided to battle three people.

On the side of the instructor, he was verily holding on. Their fight was a blur, the speed was great but it seemed like the purple robed person had the upper hand. It seemed this person was really strong and not young at all if he was able to hold of the instructor. Luckily the instructor had come in time to get his attention and signal his members for help. If his hairs had stood up, it meant this person was not ordinary. While he was fighting him, he felt like he was being toyed with.

Purpled robed man: " Okay, time to stop playing around. Even though you are really strong and I am confident I can defeat you, I am afraid I will really have to work hard and show all my cards if your help comes. Sigh, what a nuisance. Thought we fooled you all, but how can it be this easy, I am guessing you are part of a strong team."

These cloaked people were not ordinary. The only reason the kids could hold against them was that they had extra people and were also talented. unfortunately Tomlin's team was having some difficulty fighting their opponents and couldn't get the upper hand but at least they were thinking they could hold off until reinforcements arrived. They just had to keep resisting.
