Grace Falander and the New Camp

Grace Falander was the most obvious choice to inherit House Falander, she had younger cousins, non who could match her or her siblings. Although she felt superior to Jolin, she had started to receive him as a friend because he was the only one who could touch her toes in terms of fighting prowess.

Grace was demonstrating every day why she was not only the best in her class 2A but the best person to lead her family. However, she would never have imagined what her future had in store for her. One such day where the stones started to roll was the day after last weeks midterm exams. That day, Jolin saw Grace coming early to eagerly check her scores on the board.

-Jolin: "Hey Grace, how do you think you did on last weeks fighting capability exam?"

Grace looking with a furrowed eyebrow: " Really? But of course I kicked ass! Jajaja."

Jolin: " Well, am pretty sure I got closer to you this time, and if this was purely about strength, you wouldn't win so easily."

Grace: " Says the one who always says that to be a true martial artists you need to have the strength, flexibility, fighting sense capability and spirit etc ."

Jolin: "And that's why you're the best"

As Jolin smirked for getting 2nd place yet again, he could feel something different in the air. As all the students buzzingly checked and saw the scores, the teachers gathered class 2A for an announcement. All the students gathered and were puzzled at this unprecedented action. Soon they saw Master Jin, Head master of the younger kids of ages 8-15.

Master Jin: It is year 137, and every 10-20 years, each of the 4 cities gather for a special reunion. Each city's class 2 students, who are of age 13-16, will meet the other cities top 2-4 students. Larger and more qualified cities will earn more qualification spots. At this camp, only those students who can successfully work alongside each other and live in harmony will create a special intercity team. Many of you are young enough to not know of the last special team selection held 20 years ago. However many of you have heard of special teams Hawk, Falcon, Fénix, and Taurus. These four special teams are not replaced until the next team is selected,processed, and accepted, and have 6 months to be trained by that predecessor in order to become officially official. You may not know, but team Hawk, was instrumental for the intercity war 35 years ago. Without them, peace between the two fighting cities would have been harder to achieve. Not only that but, these special teams are crucial special force Pools for the Tipodia Country, if all the members survive or wish to continue after their service, they may join the Primary elite groups of the country(known as the PET's) and continue as a team or form a new one if they pass the qualifications. Due to an incident 20 years ago, we had stopped doing these selections, but we have once again come together to participate in this rare opportunity. Some Royal academies may have more students per class than us but it doesn't mean our top students aren't on par with them."

Master Yang: "We know that what Master Yin has said, has come as a surprise to you all since this is one of the only times you have heard of this officially. Our hope is that we can genuinely find the best of the best without worrying about anyone's status and goal for joining this great Academy. With that in mind, we want to be the first to announce this special camp after so much time. Since 2/3rd of the partnered cities have agreed to revive this, its success is of upmost importance. We want you to be the only ones to know first of this and decide on the spot. At times, a Main Head master of class 2 may decide to include a younger student from 2B to join in if their ability and potential far surpasses that of another class 2A nominee. While we have a very good quality in class 2B, we feel that our very own Grace Falander and Jolin Fae qualify with all the requirements and are the better choices. You can all talk and decide now. To the other classmate, work harder. Remember, if you are recruited to be a part of these intercity special teams, it will be a stepping stop into the Primary elite groups as you are mentored by members of these prestigious groups that are still alive or working together up to this day as well as some of the best masters. We expect your response in 5 minutes. "

Grace and Jolin were both congratulated by their class mates who were inwardly jealous of this great opportunity. However, Grace was at a tough point, if she accepted, it meant she may have to go far away and could be potentially giving up her seat as the future lady of her house. For Jolin, it meant he has to leave his family earlier to train at this special camp which would give him so much more fighting and outside experience. As both thought in silence, it occurred to both of them that they might be separated at such camp and may not be part of the same team. Both had gotten used to fighting against each other that they felt they knew each other's fighting style better than their classmates. "If you agree to go, I will also go with you and we need to do our best to stick together,"Jolin said silently to Grace and a couple minutes. Grace smiles slightly," This is definitely a great opportunity and if my younger siblings don't do better than I already am doing, then I don't think they can catch up to me after am through with this camp and team." Both decided then and there that they would participate in this selection camp and get to train with all this important people. They would certainly improve a lot faster and gain invaluable team experience, even if this meant they had to leave their families for a while. This meant Jolins cousin would need to wait for him to come back. They both informed the Head master of their decision. He then told them to not worry, they would allow them 2 days of each month to come visit. He then informed them that they would be leaving in a week and should take the time to gather their things and say goodbye. Whilst both were sad and nervous about this move, both were also anxious to find out this new training methods and to be part of a real team on unique assignments.
