61 Reconnecting With The Past
" Oh... Hum... I shall call the nurse responsible for your grandfather's room. ", the director awkwardly said, " Please sit in meanwhile. "
" Thank you. " Ting Mei calmly answered as she sat down.
Not long after, a young looking nurse came in, not knowing why she was called by the director.
" Hello, director ", the nurse said as her eyes fell on Ting Mei's pretty figure
" Hello, this miss wanted to speak to you about the patient from room 504. ", the director introduced the nurse to Ting Mei.
" Miss, she was the nurse that took care of the patient. She is still new so please be lenient on her. " the director said.
After Ting Mei said the number of the room, the director felt like there was actually an important person in that room and he guessed right, in that room was the one and only Ting Chen, a legendary businessman who was still extremely respected by his peers: an extremely important person.
He understood that those prestigious figures would more picky about their room service but he still didn't understand why Ting Mei was mad about a basket of fruit. However, the girl had pronounced that he was her grandpa so he still called the nurse. " Thank you, director. " Ting Mei said before turning towards the nurse.
" Nice to meet you, my name is Ting Mei. Are you the nurse that took care of my grandpa yesterday? " she extended her hand to the nurse.
" Nice to meet you too and yes I am the nurse that took care of your grandfather yesterday. Did I do something wrong? " the nurse nervously asked as she slightly shook Ting Mei's hand. Yesterday was actually her first time serving a VIP patient so she was very careful and was confused in what she did wrong.
" I see that you are new...However, I am pretty sure you heard about the previous nurses that you shall never accept any gift from the Fei family nor any strangers except the ones who have the permission and personally comes to offer the gift. Right? " Ting Mei inquired.
" Hum..." the nurse hesitantly started, " Yes, I did..."
" Great, then why was that basket still entered my grandpa's room? " Ting Mei lifted her eyebrow.
" I...I thought that..." the nurse started trembling under the intense stare from Ting Mei. She never knew she would start shaking of fear from someone's stare.
" You thought that what? That it was just a harmless basket of fruit and that the patient will probably won't mind? " Ting Mei continued.
" I...I...I'm sorry..." the nurse apologized as she felt powerless before Ting Mei's intense aura.
Ting Mei kept silent for a moment before retracting her aura and sighing, " It's fine for this time only, just make sure that there is no next time and if the people try to bribe you, you know what to do right? "
" I do! Thank you very much! I won't do the same error next time, I promise! " the nurse was relieved and thanked Ting Mei while promising wholeheartedly.
" Thank you. " Ting Mei finished before turning to the director.
" Also thank you M. Director for your time and help. I won't bother your work anymore. Goodbye. " Ting Mei concluded before elegantly walking off.

After meeting up with her brother and Fen Hua, Ting Mei finally came back home to take a long relaxing bath.
She sat in her bed, casually flipping a business-related book before making a call using an anonymous line that Jun Hong created for her. She dialed a long chain a number before it started ringing on the other side.
" Hello, how may I help you? " a female voice said.
" GRWABYHEIDIAYD666 " Ting Mei fluently said like she said this password a hundred times over.
" I will transfer you to the main line. " the voice didn't seem surprised by this password and transferred Ting Mei's line over to someone else.
" Hello, how may I help you? " another voice answered asking the same question.
" IKYSGRB43, tell this to Victoria. " Ting Mei calmly spoke while flipping another page of her book.
" Please wait a moment. " the voice confirmed.
After a short moment, a warm voice resonated in Ting Mei's phone, " Boss Black Queen, how long has it been? Or should I call you Ting Mei now? "
Hearing the familiar voice, a wave of nostalgia hit Ting Mei right on the heart, " You can just call me Mei like before, I'm no longer Grim Reaper's boss! ", she lightly chuckled.
" Sure. " Victoria answered, she knew that Ting Mei was still very sensitive about her name in the underground world.
